and we get it at home.....
I am calling it now, for future reference.
The Scarecrow strikes again !!

Another Skooby Value post.......
Skooby = the scarecrow

Aside from the years the when the Bills Office blamed the printing company for delays, season tickets are usually in the mail by now......So Whaaaaas up?
-
Thanks Steely..
-
IIRC it happened soon after the draft ends.

He's about the only guy on the team that when he has the ball, I think there is a chance he may go all the way. I really hope they keep him.

Isn't it though? We usually drive to Pittsburgh on Sunday Nights and stay there after home games. It puts us at relatively half way to VA. The drive back anymore is so miserable. You listen to WGR all the way to Erie until it fades out and vent with the rest of the miserable Bills fans. Then you switch over to Sirius NFL radio and never hear a word about the Bills because they are irrelevant to everyone outside of Buffalo.
It's just excruciating anymore. It makes you so miserable, and the whole time driving home on Monday, you keep asking yourself......."why in the hell am I still doing this for this horseshit team"?
It's been like ground day for the last 10 years.
LOL....exactly !!

So, after a long time thinking about it, I cancelled my season tickets today. I've had them for 11 years. Before that, I was in college and high school and used to make as many games as possible. I'm still a Bills fan. And I will still have Direct TV's Sunday Ticket so I can watch every game. So, I'm not one of these dingbats that are saying that they are no longer Bills fans and such. I'm still a Bills fan true and true. However, my money will no longer be going for seats in the stadium.
I do have to say, however, that this choice is a little easier for me as I live in Richmond VA. 9 Hours each way. I'll probably still go to the opener and that may be about it. Who knows.
It's a bigger commitment driving from here in Virginia 9 hours than those still in the Buffalo area. I'm going thru the same thing myself and I've had my tickets for 30 years ! The trips home after bad losses are rough. It's an easier trip to make for a decent product.

Pro bowl should be in like June, when most of us are desperate for any sort of football.
Waaay back when...In early summer, some good college team or upcoming senior all-star team (can't remember) played an NFL team in a game. Gee if they did that now and it was the Bills playing, Ralph would fire Dick by half time and die of a heart attack himself as the Bills lost.
-
I'd love to see shanahan come in as Offensive Coordinator.
Ditto
-
Well...I'm shocked...I honestly thought this was a no-brainer...
Yup....well then Ralph is most qualified...
-
Get used to losing guys!!!!!
Haven't we been in training long enough?
-
Season ticket holders go to games to drink beers and hang out with friends. It is a day of freedom. What the Bills do is a distant second.
Nicely stated....
Hmmm let's see. I've had season tickets since '63, sit in a prime location with good people all around me. Yup. Ill give that up at the request of someone on TSW.
It would take about 2 seconds and those seats are owned by someone else.
-
And it's gonna get worse because you know what comes next.....
The Bills will announced their new 09 ticket prices.
I'll have to ask if the higher prices include brown paper bag to wear to the game.
-
We should be able to play Detroit tough.
-
Bill's season tickets were up this year based on optimistic speculation. My guess is next year those numbers will drop by at least 5000.....bad economy, bad team. Also, next year we are back to paying for both pre-season games here with 1 regular season game in Toronto.
-
Am I to understand that you live in C'Ville (either Charlottesville or Centerville) VA and have season tickets? Thats impressive. If in Charlottesville you must have a 9 to 10 hour drive to the stadium? I live in Richmond and have driven to two games and the best time I could make it was just under 9:15.....
I'm in Charlottesville....Drive up on Friday, hit the casinos at Niagara Falls on Saturday and then the game on Sunday.
8.5 hours each way depending on traffic. I don't make every game tho. Can't say I'm cryin that I missed the SF game.
The worst thing about the longer drive to the Bills games is when they lose, the ride home seems to last forever....
-
gotta renew my seasons....as far as the Bills go, loyalty overrides intelligence.

The TV commentators repeatedly mentioned how the Buffal Bills receivers were not getting open and the QBs didn't really have many options. I'm not validating the comments, just passing it on.
When I am at the game, I see too many routes where the wide outs run 20 yds straight downfield and then just stop...easy to cover and then the receiver never trys to make anything happen....we need some new receiver patterns...Why don't we have crossing patterns and inside slant routes that Welker, Boldin and those types make a career on?
I did see our 1st play action pass today....almost fell off the sofa !
From 5-1 to eliminated in November.... There's no O in Buffal
-
Of course the Chiefs are very good at taking the ball away, which is a concern of mine. But I think the Bills pound the run with Lynch and have Trent complement it with a relatively conservative passing game and play action.
Conservative? The Bills, Conservative?.....Looks like we get another boring game Sunday.....the pain continues.
-
If the the guys are open down field and trent is having lots of time to get rid of the ball and he just cann't bring himself to throw deep , I say let JP go in and bombs away . I love trent and I like JP but some one has got to get the !@#$ing ball to the open man down field .
Exactly....
-
I just gotta think it's worth a try when TE is having that bad a game.....
-
Anyone know Trent's QB Rating for tonight?
