  1. really?............the reason smith was so good this year is because harbaugh is a master mind with QB's. run first pass if he has too. I could see him in sanfran
  2. Coples was the top ranked DE before this game so it is not like the bills will draft him just based on his performance in that game. That being said he is the top rated and will likely be off the board when the bills draft.
  3. I think the first pick is automatic defense, we need pass rushers and if we don't get a pass rusher we will be getting a corner. Drayton florence killed us in a few games last year and he should be at best our nickle corner. our offensive line has improved and will continue to do so as they get more experience.
  4. pat kiwan on olbs... Here's a quick look at the best hybrid pass rushers at the Senior Bowl. The top two will almost certainly be taken in the first round, and the rest of them will be gone by the fourth. 1. Melvin Ingram, South Carolina (6-1 7/8, 276 pounds) Ingram couldn't be blocked in the Tuesday practice, as he showcased a complete arsenal of pass rush moves. He reminds me a lot of Pittsburgh Steelers star LaMarr Woodley, and is stout against the run. I see him as more of a 3-4 outside linebacker than a 4-3 defensive end. 2. Courtney Upshaw, Alabama (6-1 1/2, 273) Upshaw is another ideal 3-4 OLB in the mold of Woodley, but he can come out of a three-point stance with explosiveness as an open-side end if a 4-3 team is interested. Upshaw does not have as much quick-twitch ability as Ingram, but he makes up for it in pure strength and football speed. link
  5. Mike mayock on The first padded practice..... "I thought the most impressive group was the South’s defensive line. Melvin Ingram, Courtney Upshaw and Quinton Coples, to me, are all first-round picks, and they’ve all played like first-round picks. I’m particularly interested in Ingram, because he’s got an atypical body type at 6-foot-2 and 276 pounds. You’ve got to figure out how to use him, but he’s played really well so far. Bottom line: These three guys represent the best position group heading into Saturday’s game." Link
  6. I think its hard to go wrong with both of these guys, they both play the game with great intensity.
  7. I think we should get Round 1-Melvin Ingram OLB- very physical and athletic Highlights Round 2-Jared Crick DE- I think he will be one of the steals of the draft. I like the motor that he plays with and he is very good with fighting off blocks with his hands Front 7 looks very good with these two in the mix
  8. Newton Gronkowski Calvin Johnson Suh Aldon smith how would anyone defend that offense.
  9. I wanted the bills to draft him back when he came out. I would not mind the bills picking him up.
  10. we traded Evans because he was a wimp that did not want to run a slant. he only wanted the big play. he never put him self out there for this team. there is no rule against having two 4th round picks, the bills want to build through the draft.
  11. Here is a better highlights also shows the low lights.
  12. Vontaze Burfict is a game changer. I see him being the next Ray Lewis. Put Him at MLB and behind Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams and let him do his thing. The down side is his character, but i bet he would be the guy to step in a be the voice on defense that our team needs. he plays with a lot of energy.
  13. There is a salary cap in the NFL. They are broke in the fact that they have no room in the cap. so yes, it is financial.
  14. your Top 3 free agents for the bill this off season. realistically brees being the franchise guy and foster being restricted is out of the question. mario williams is also out for now i would be shocked if he went anywhere. free agents link mine are 1.)Robert Mathis-would be a team turn around pick up. Colts are also broke..draft luck....trade manning to free up money... 2.)Dwayne Bowe-one of the things that i felt we needed this year the most on offense was that big go get it type of guy. i saw a little of it in nelson but bowe would be a great pick up especially if fitz continues to struggle with the deep ball. 3.)Dan Connor-good value pick that i could see the bills picking up to help out.
  15. I would add David Nelson and George Wilson to your list.
  16. why did we hire Edwards? I have been asking my self this question for a while now. so i did some research. His defenses when he was coordinator for redskins in 2003 ranked 25th for yards and 24th for points. Then fired and was coordinator for the Browns, defense ranked 24th for points 15th for yards but last for rush defense stats for redskins stats for browns last year with the bills 28th for points and 24th for yards, this year is the same type 26th for points 24th for yards....how is he a NFL coach.Chan screwed him self here. bad decisions. its painful to watch this organization constantly run them selves into the ground. hopefully he will be gone next year. who would you want to pick up? I could see Buddy bringing in Ron Rivera from San Diego. I would agree with the pick up.
  17. The bills are not as out as most people believe. The Bengals with a 7-4 record still have games against Pittsburgh, Houston and Baltimore all of which will be tough games.(they only have 1 win against teams with a winning record) the Bengals end up 9-7. The jets need two loses they still have a tough game against the giants and hopefully Philadelphia turns it on. We need to win out which will knock off the titans the broncos and San Diego. Its a long shot but it could happen.
  18. He has 700 yards and 2 TDs is that quitting on your team! Philly as a whole has underperformed it seems ppl on this board are pointing the blame at him.
  19. He could not afford to hold out with the way that they were fining him
  20. Quit on his team? he is playing like the amount of money he is making. he didn't want to end up like fred or worse with a knee injury how can you expect him to play hard when he has to think about all of the ppl he will have to pay back and can not afford to get hurt bc he is the kind of guy where his knee goes his game is gone. he should have been paid they paid to bring in new talent when they had a team that could have gone all the way prior to the signings, they should have showed commitment if they wanted him to be committed. saying all that i would not sign DeSean we need a big guy possession to go out side of nelson. Justin Blackmon like. fitz can under throw him, he will go get it.
  21. you said it you self he is working with less talent than 30 other teams....he adjusted the game plan last week if you didn't notice the amount of play action that he ran with Fitz under center. he ran heavier sets with less wide-outs. how do you think we almost beat the jets they had no idea what they were seeing. Chans offensive production over the past two years is a refreshment from the past 5 years of horrible offense. He does need to fire Edwards though that is where i don't agree with him, I think he thinks it is pointless to fire him half way through the season. we beat some good teams this year.
