I'm just concerned if you move back and NE takes the WR you want.  Or the chargers.  You've moved back twice... get the guy you want because he won't be there at 60, and might not be there at 37.

If there's a guy they love, then sure, they should stay put and grab him.  But if they have McConkey, Mitchell, Franklin, Coleman all sort of ranked similarly on their board, then I think they should move back a bit to increase the value of one of their later 2nd or 3rd rounders.

My concern is good but not great. Someone said it yesterday, but the issue with the Bills is they have one elite player and a lot of good. The quality is not there outside of Josh.

I think Kincaid can be an elite pass catching tight end, probably as early as next year.  Cook is a very good back (though needs to clean up the easy drops).  We need to draft two receivers between the 2nd and 3rd rounds and hope that one of them turns into, at minimum, an 80 catch, 1000 yard guy.

I think they'll try to trade back one more time,  probably to 35 or 36 and try to upgrade another 4th into a 3rd in the process.  I wouldn't move back any further.

I think they take Franklin or McConkey with their first pick.  Pick 60 lines up on safety value in this draft,  so that would be my guess there,  though I could also see another WR or a DT.  Might even trade up or down.

If they don't select two WRs with the first two picks,  I think they will with the 3rd and day three will be defensive depth and maybe an early C prospect.

If you're not going to take DeJean, then this scenario makes the most sense.  I really hope Beane is able to pull off a trade back.  The other option is taking DeJean and trying to move back up in the 2nd round to grab a guy like Franklin or Coleman.  I assume both of those guys will be gone by pick 60.

  4. I love what Beane did yesterday.  Once the top three receivers came off the board and there wasn't an immediate run on the second tier of receivers, I definitely wanted Beane to trade back for additional draft capital in the second and third rounds.  Just taking a look at all of the good players available on the board right now, I wouldn't be against being moving back another few pics to increase the value of our second second round pick. There's a decent chance we walk away with our new starting center and two receivers that can contribute as rookies.

Seriously, Shakir and Samuel, who is a plus gadget guy? That's the best currently in our WR room. Beane has to add. It's terrible right now, and an absolute disservice to Josh Allen. I still like Mitchell and McConkey. I'm not high on Coleman and Franklin, though some are. Might be a draft choice and a veteran that is available.

It's definitely concerning.  Beane has to draft two WRs in the second and third rounds tomorrow, right?

  6. I'd say zero.  The opposing defense would jam the receivers and the safeties would crowd all the short stuff knowing id have zero chance of completing anything down the field more than 5-10 yards.  I guess there's always the chance of my receiver catching a jumpball or something, but that's really none of my doing.

Here is Diggs stats for 4 years in Buffalo with Allen: Averaged 111 catches and 1343 yards per year.
Here is Diggs stats in 5 years with Vikings: Averaged 73 catches and 924 yards per year.

We clearly need to trade for Justin Jefferson.  I've done the maths and they tell me he'd routinely post 2000 yards with Josh Allen.

What a joke. The best receiver we’ve had in 20 years and away he goes. Pathetic. Looks like more of a step back this season than I thought.

Diggs was amazing in 2020 and 2021. But he's 30 years old and his play has shown signs of dropping off, especially in the second half of each of the last two seasons. Add in all of the personality issues, however legitimate they may be, and I believe this was the right time to move on.

He didn’t say anything new. He could’ve easily thrown coaching under the bus and didn’t.

I think the fact Tyreek Hill went 60 yards the previous play terrified the coaches. I wish they just played it tight with safety help but that’s the exact defense they played the play before 13 seconds that Hill torched every single player on defense.

The big issue was likely the deep kick. They would only have time for 2 plays not 3. But the Chiefs would’ve won on a Hail Mary touchdown pass anyways.

I agree completely.  I was terrified of Tyreek Hill touching the ball again, which is why I was actually relieved to see them kick it deep through the endzone (also, we have some very deep special teams scar tissue as Bills fans).  The staff was justifiably terrified of Hill's speed and playmaking ability, opted for the safest approach possible to avoid losing the game in regulation, and Mahomes/Kelce/Hill/Butker/Reid made them pay.  Can you imagine if we had squibbed it and it gets lateralled to Hill and he takes it to the house, or we played tight man and Hill catches a crosser and goes 70 yards to end it in regulation?  At the end of the day, it is what it is.  The Chiefs were a great team with great coaching, and they were just better than us in the big moment.

Other than her money (and her appearance, which by the way was much better before she hit the Botox bottle a little too young and too hard), she has the qualification of being a great communications person: she is said to have financed and had "creative input" into that jarringly awful RFK Jr. 30 second Super Bowl spot.

    What a joker.

Can we send him back to the Next Gen Kennedy scrapheap now?

I'm all for viable third party candidates, but I don't understand how anyone ever took RFK Jr. seriously.  The guy has been a loon for years.

Regarding the VP pick - she's a cutie. I'll give her that.

  11. We all knew this was coming, but ouch. Not sure how these prices are going to fly in the Buffalo market. It also really highlights the stupidity of not spending more and getting yourself a domed stadium. You're asking people to spend $20,00 to $50,000 for the right to sit and freeze in terrible weather for potentially three out of eight games on the schedule.

Allen will just run right past Poyer, he is probably faster than Poyer at this point.

This is probably the correct answer.  But in my imagination, Josh trucks him and then kind of trips up and goes down shortly after the hit.  Both guys get up, share a laugh and hug, and neither takes a shot to their ego.

I know it’s a business and all it just sucks, hate it, I get it but I hate it.

It being a big business is what allows guys like Tre to get rich beyond their wildest dreams.  The players understand this better than the fans.

Enjoy and appreciate these talents while they're here to entertain us.  Just don't get attached.

It just goes to show how badly he looked at the Combine that he's offering to essentially re-do it personally for us. Probably also speaks to how we view him at the moment that we're saying "yeah, gonna need you to do more than just a standard visit. We need to see the Combine was a mirage to consider you".

I would be surprised if he improves his times though, even if he was sick. He'll be in better health, but he also put on added mass. Which in and of itself is a good thing bc weighing in less than expected was one of the many disappointments from his weekend in Indy. But it could also negate the time he lost from being a little under the weather. Though if he's able to get the same 40 with added weight, that's a good thing.

More than the 40, he needs more than anything to improve his 10 yard split. Ranking dead last amongst all WR's at the Combine when his big trait is speed was staggering. Again, I worry that may just be what it is. He does hit high speeds as he gets down the field. But coming off the line, you wouldn't think he's as fast as he's supposed to be. It's strangely as if he has long speed, but not burst at the line.

If you've got the flu, it's going to significantly impact your performance.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a huge improvement during his workouts when healthy.
