I think he's a star, not like Brady, but he's a LITTLE guy giving you 100 catches a year! PLUS, he'll throw a TD pass in a pinch, PLUS he'll come out of the backfield for a 1st Down, PLUS he delivers big catches in big games, (See superbowl XLIX)... Is he a d!ck? -Yes. In fairness however, it must hurt to see a CB with ZERO accomplishments get paid like that...

I get the sarcasm... After watching "grumpy cat" get sa-moked by Hogan last year, I can't believe the $$$ they paid him.

He's a star in that offense, and he leads all Pats wide receivers in receptions... He's just six catches shy of being tied with Antonio Brown... #4 on the receptions leaderboard behind ODB... Sure Mini-tron is part of a system, but he thrives in that system, which makes him a star in my book. That said, he probably needs to watch his back as much as anyone else on that team... The pats have been checking out slot/type WR KJ Maye... Who is similar in stature, and skill set.

Of course I grasp the situation... Everything you said was accurate commentary.. -Until Gilmore blows his first three coverages... I said that fat contract could be a debilitating mistake for the Pats, and I meant it... BOTH players were sent home.. That could mean very little if Gilmore fails on the field, AND becomes a polarizing figure... There at many ways to effect a "curtains" scenario besides simply cutting someone... Two things remain unknown... Whether hostilities between Gilmore/Edelman continue, and whether Gilmore can play up to expectations... I'll observe that dynamic before stating what can happen, and what can't.

The short-answer to that is, 'since Brady & Belichick made him one'... In NE's system Edelman IS a star... Edelman had more catches last year than a lot of tier-1 WR's... Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, and Jordy Nelson to name a few... He nearly doubled what Martellus Bennett's caught last year without breaking a sweat... Edelman is an extremely versatile athlete, that gives his team options they wouldn't have with a standard slot WR... No lie.

I'm not sure I'm happy with that... From Astros' reports, Deuce is looking sharper every day... I'd put him in directly after Tyrod... Quality reps with players who will likely make the team...

He definitely WILL give a crap if Gilly starts blowing coverages... I guarantee you that... As the newcomer, this fight put him on everyone's radar... He had better produce.

Hey,. I'd LOVE a 7-0 start... -It's great momentum for a playoff run... 5-2 appeals to some, but we've done that before... 5-2 turns into 5-3, then 5-4... Next thing you know, we're 5-7! Recent history verifies that we don't dig ourselves out of holes very well...

I can relate... Here's how I feel about the first seven games. vs. NYJ....... W 24-21.... A game much closer than it should have been due to turnovers on offense. -Haushka ices the win with a FG in OT. @ CAR........ L 17-37... The McCaff-back breaks some sort of record in this one. Our secondary also gets torched via Newton to Benjamin. vs. DEN........ L 17-31.... Broncs secondary gives Tyrod fits. -They pound the rock until our D-line rolls over and submits. @ ATL....... L 20-45..... Matt Ryan can't be stopped. -Neither can Freeman. We put up a valiant fight until the 4th, when Ryan and Senor Julio take over. @ CIN....... L 23-28….. A game we could have easily won… Dalton is sacked five times, and our ST produces a TD on a KR… Tyrod is chided for holding the ball, and missing open WR’s… Shady shows his frustration in the after-game presser... TT is losing the locker room. vs. TAM..... L 19-29.... The lack of points being scored leads to whispers of a "QB change"... A poor first half vs.TAM leads to cut-aways of Peterman warming up on the sidelines.... He never goes in. vs. OAK..... L 24-33.... Khalil and Marshawn celebrate their WNY "homecoming" by laying waste to all in their path.... A late comeback only adds to Bills fan's misery. That's how I see things starting out... Let's hope I'm WAAAAAY off!

Great coverage Astro... I'm glad there's some actual instruction going on, and not just 11 on11 drills.... Veterans from a 7-9 effort scrimmaging rookies isn't exactly steel sharpening steel... Can't wait until the Minnesota game.
