  1. i chose other. im thinking maybe after FA shakes out floyd makes the most sense.

    if not, OT, probably martin

I like Martin as well. Does the prospect of Manning in Miami change things though? The Bills could go all out to bring in V.Jax to pair with Stevie and TE Chandler and get the offense fine tuned by drafting Martin @ LT...

  2. give me a break. And even if this was the truth (which it's not), the line should be set after our first round pick this year and having everyone healthy. And then u can stop your bitching. jeez, even Bill in nyc isn't too unhappy with the line anymore.

Hey, but it's MY wet dream and stay out of it!

ps- we WILL be in the hunt for Mario. Imagine what that would do for ticket sales.

That brings up an interesting question - Does anyone know what the attendance figures are since Nix has been in charge? Remember, the Bills brought in a washed up WR (T.O.) for that very reason (to sell tickets) Maybe signing V.Jax for $11 Mill Per Season isn't such a bad idea... Draft a LT #1 and maybe Fitz will have the time to throw deep to V.Jax...

  3. For the umpteenth time...Kelsay is not the problem on this defense.

    Carry on.

Nor is he "The Solution" either...

Leave Kelsay alone. We put an ass kicking linebacker behind him he will shine. He can seal the edge and have the tackle chase him around leaving the interior exposed. Having his hand down will be good for him. Now getting the sslb is huge.

If xxx /When! we get DE it should be weak side passrusher. with Kyle and MD, Now you really got somethin'.

We are closer than some think. two key players and depth.

I dont think we need a star on the weak side just a solid performer that is young enough to grow into what will become the best defensive line in the AFC. If we can grab williams and fill some smaller holes add some players, well go for it! just dont break the bank for any position yet.not yet.

i hope you guys realize we are on the verge of having a top notch defense in the next few seasons and these are very exciting times for Bills fans. Especially us Def guys. Go Bills.

Why wouldn't Mario want to come here again?

BECAUSE RALPH WON'T PAY HIM $15-20MILL PER SEASON!!!!!

  4. If the Bills were gonna do anything, keeping Nix's words in mind of the Bills possibly acquiring a "Difference Maker" early on in Free Agency, wouldn't a Vincent Jackson make more sense? Why cough up a #1 for Wallace when you could just sign Jackson for free? (in terms of draft picks, not money obviously) That would leave the Bills to draft a LT #1 and follow that up in rds 2 and 3 with a DE/OLB combo...

  5. You must be kidding right ? Or you hit your head !! They have given the guy a $18 mil a year offer & he didn't take it , what the hell does he think he's worth come on !!!

OK i'll give it to him he's good but he thinks he's a lot better than i do ! These guys are all getting to friggin greedy !!!

    #1) IT'S A GAME

#2) Most al of these guys make more money a year than the Pres. of the US & it's b/c the fans let it happen ..

I think we have our priorities just a little out of order , don't get me wrong but REALLY 100's of Millions of dollars to play a game !!

I thought it was a BUSINESS???? And like Gordon Gecko says "Greed Is Good!"

  6. depends on what he wants $$$ wise. if he wants some big contract id rather the bills just dump a little more and offer it to mario williams.

make that ALOT MORE $$$ - Mario is going where the BIG $$$ is... The Bills don't pay out that kinda $$$

  7. Why not TRADE fitz and some picks to Saint Louis for RGIII?

St. Louis can always use a good backup behind bradford. And by trading fitz you solve 2 problems. You dump his salary, and you have to give up fewer picks to move up. In fact, throw freddy in too. They can use somebody behind Steven Jackson.

Lets think outside the box a little here, fellas.

STUPID, STUPID.... AND WHY WOULD ST LOUIS WANNA PAY FITZ ALL THAT MONEY TO BACK UP BRADFORD?????

  8. I am not talking about running backs or safetys. I said CBs. So ladies and gentleman here are these manipulated stats I made up!!!!

We have drafted a total of........3 Cornerbacks in rounds 1 or 2 since the year 2000!

This whole thread is F-cked. It's not a problem of overdrafting or underdrafting at any one or two positions. It's the quality of the players you are getting since 2000 in those 1st two rounds. Passing up Orakpo for Maybins? Drafting RB's like McGahee (who we knew was gonna have to sit out that first season?) Lynch (Mr HitnRun)... and now Spiller? (who can't beat out Fred but WANTS to start!)

I am not going to go over the litany of bad early picks this organization has made yet again, but suffice to say, until this organization starts drafting better in those early rounds especially, this team won't get much better...

And how bout picking up a backup center so that if your #1 guy gets injured you don't have to move guys all around and out of their natural postions creating chaos everywhere!... It's not exactly rocket science - especially when you are 19+million under the cap as PFT is now reporting...

  9. List me a team that won a Super Bowl without a good offense. It's not having one or the other or the best of one or the other, it s a combination of both and a whole s**tload of intangibles all falling into place at the right time.

And lets not forget the contributions of Special Teams play too... Football is a TEAM SPORT.... Offense, Defense & Special Teams all need to contribute to the victory... A letdown in any one of these areas in any one playoff game can spell disaster... A missed FG for example...

  10. sure, but that has nothing to do with the poll question. it was simple. if you could just choose one, would you want johnson or jackson.

I used Vincent Jackson as such because right now he seems likely to be available, and as we both agree is super talented (certainly equal to or better than Stevie Johnson and minus all the drama) and depending on co$t might be a wiser choice. Some people will feel different for different reasons... I am curious how deep the support for Stevie is around here?

  11. If they truly intend to spend upwards of a $100 mil, they had better get an iron-clad guarantee about long-term future tenancy. Anything short of that and I say give them nothing, call their bluff, and let them walk if that's what it comes to. The State of NY is pretty stupid though. I wont be surprised if they give them the 100 mil and then they're able to walk in five years.

Problem is, if there are airtight stipulations like that RW might not go for it. His overriding concern is to sell the team upon his death. I highly doubt he is going to agree to a deal that could prevent the team from being sold quickly, easily, and for the most money possible. My assumption is that majority of interested buyers have no intention of keeping the team in WNY for the long-term. So tying the team to a long-term WNY lease is not in RWs best interest.

These negotiations will be very interesting. More interesting than the football that's been foisted upon us for all of these years.

There are no such things as "airtight stipulations" nor "iron clad guarantee". Not when LA has enough money to buy its way out of any lease that RW signs. When RW dies his heirs sell to the highest bidder. Case Closed.

  12. About the only good thing I'd say about our 70+ yr old GM is at least he didn't draft Gabbert #1 over Dareus... The money we have "invested" in Merriman could have been used to bring in a HEALTHY OLB who could have been rushing the opposing QB's every week... And none of the players Buddy drafted in year one are even close to be starters... This years draft looks better on paper so far but Dareus was a no brainer folks... And what idiot goes into a season without a legit back up center? (not one that you can slide over from another position thus creating a new hole at that position???) Look I was no great fan of Hangartner but don't expect me to believe they couldn't have brought in a halfway competent center prospect back in training camp, just in case. D-

  13. I for one would like to see Spiller prove all of us so-called "Doubters" wrong. I think I speak for all of us Doubters when I say that. It would be great to see it happen. Look for example what Darren Sproles does for the Saints out of the backfield. If Spiller could achieve those results it would be a very useful weapon for the Bills to have and to use. But if he fails, over the rest of the season to impress, than I and others will judge him not just on these upcoming games, but over the two years he has been here. Gailey will be judging him on how well he performed in practice over these two years. And remember that he practices against one of the worst rated Defenses in the league, he should look pretty good, at least in practice...
