Dick Juron and the Bills have done a great job in the first two games. It will be tough for them to win a bunch of games unless they can generate more with their passing attack and this week might be a chanc etro open up the play book for J.P. Losman. Brad (NM): Buffalo's D has looked among the best in the league so far. Will their D-Line continue to perform and do you see Spikes now being injury prone? Ken Moll: (12:42 PM ET ) The Bills "D" does look very good but there is still many games to be played. Spikes may be a concern. Bills fans would like to have around for the season as he is one of there best defensive players. Josh (buffalo): How much of the Bills success should be attributed to the new coaching staff and management? Ken Moll: (12:45 PM ET ) I think a bunch of credit can be given to Dick Juron and his staff. They have revamped parts of the personnel and changed the O andD schemes . Juron is avery solid coach. Bob (Philadelphia PA): Do you think the Bills could compete to win the AFC East Ken Moll: (12:50 PM ET ) The Bills will have to improve their offensive out put (esp. Passing game) to compete with the Pats but they have started well and this may develope in the next few weeks. J.P. has to start making more throws and plays (only 41 attemps through the 1st two games)

Robert (Palm City, Florida): Hey KC, Thanks for all the great stats you have been providing. Can you tell me if you see JP Losman getting any better and what made him sooo bad last year? KC Joyner: (4:09 PM ET ) The one thing that Losman was excellent at was hitting the deep pass to Lee Evans. He completed something like 60% of his deep passes to Evans, just a ridiculously high percentage. The Bills may end up putting him in there to open up their deep passing game if Holcomb doesn't show improvement in that part of his game.

Charles Spencer that would be a great pick. I watch him play. Average takle but would be a great guard I just hope he is still there in the second round.

Brad (NM): What could Buffalo get from Houston that would even be fair compensation for Moulds? Gary Horton: (11:30 AM ET ) They are probably not going to get fair compensation. Everyone knows he wants out and he is an aging receiver. Teams that are interested in Moulds will try to squeeze the Bills and get him as cheap as possible. My guess is they won't get much more than a mid-round pick and I wouldn't be shocked if they just cut him. It certainly doesn't look like they can co-exist.

Patriots keep two of their own in Brown, Neal By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com After watching the door swing mostly outward in the first two weeks of free agency, the New England Patriots finally found a way to bolt it shut. Neal Brown New England has reached agreement with a pair of its own unrestricted free agents, versatile wide receiver Troy Brown and starting right guard Stephen Neal, and the contracts could be finalized by Friday. Financial details were not immediately available, but sources confirmed Brown will sign a second straight one-year contract, and Neal is likely to receive a multi-year deal. The retention of Brown is particularly significant given his longevity with the franchise, what he represents to Patriots fans, and the fact that New England has already lost a pair of revered veterans in linebacker Willie McGinest and kicker Adam Vinatieri, along with other key players. Brown, 34, had considered retirement and had feelers from a few other teams, but opted to return for a 14th season, all with the Patriots. What has Brown done for the Pats during a long tenure that has included three Super Bowl championships? A little of everything. The former Marshall star, an eighth-round choice in the 1993 draft, ranks as the second leading receiver in franchise history, with 514 catches for 5,982 yards and 27 touchdowns. And that's despite the fact Brown spent most of his early career as a punt returner, didn't start a game until his fifth season in the league, and didn't record double-digit starts until 2000. He has averaged 10.5 yards and scored three touchdowns on 244 punt returns and has 87 kickoff returns for a 21.4-yard average. In 2004, with the New England secondary decimated by injuries, Brown played in the secondary for the first time in his career and posted three interceptions. He played cornerback at times in 2005 as well. Certainly Brown, who came close to signing with New Orleans a year ago, has been a player symbolic of the Patriots' grit and resourcefulness the last few seasons. In Neal, 29, the Pats have retained a self-made player, a five-year veteran who didn't play college football, was a two-time NCAA wrestling champion at Cal State-Bakersfield, but who has developed into one of the league's top guards. Neal was the No. 25 player in the ESPN.com free agent rankings. Neal rarely got on the field early in his career but has started all but two games in the last two seasons. I thought Marv didn't hire Sherman because Sherman wanted to run the offense and ne HC. On NFL network Marv said Jauron has the same idea as him for being a head coach to hire good coordinator. Becaue a HC's job is to manger the team no run a Offense or Def.

Lions hire fiery Henderson to coordinate defense By Len Pasquarelli ESPN.com Former New York Jets defensive coordinator Donnie Henderson has been hired by first-year Detroit Lions head coach Rod Marinelli in the same capacity. The addition of Henderson, who interviewed for two head coach openings over the last two weeks, fills one of the two key spots on Marinelli's staff. The Lions have yet to hire an offensive coordinator, a position that will be critical, given the ongoing instability at the quarterback position. One of the men with whom Marinelli wanted to discuss the offensive coordinator spot, former Buffalo Bills coach Mike Mularkey, on Sunday accepted an offer from the Miami Dolphins to run their offense. Henderson, 48, served as the Jets' coordinator under Herman Edwards for the past two seasons. Under his stewardship, the New York defense statistically ranked No. 7 for the 2004 season, then dropped to 12th in 2005, when the unit suffered a spate of injuries. Although Edwards retained Kansas City coordinator Gunther Cunningham, there was a chance Henderson might have joined his staff, had he not landed a coordinator post. Marinelli had hoped to hire his son-in-law, Tampa Bay linebackers coach Joe Barry, but the Bucs, as is their policy, denied permission for him to interview for the job, because he has one more season remaining on his contract. Phil Snow, a defensive assistant with the Lions in 2005, is expected to be retained by the club, although his responsibilities under Marinelli haven't yet been determined. Marinelli is continuing to interview potential staffers at this week's Senior Bowl college all-star game in Mobile, Ala. In the emotional Henderson, the Lions certainly are getting a coordinator whose passion might match that of Marinelli, a fiery guy. Although Henderson is not a big blitz-quota coach, he preaches an aggressive style, much as Marinelli does, and has experience in the "cover two" scheme Detroit figures to employ under its new head coach. Henderson entered the league with the Baltimore Ravens in 1999, as secondary coach, and then moved to the Jets in 2004. Before that, he was a college coach for 16 seasons. Ex-Texans coach Capers expected to head to Miami ESPN.com news services The Miami Dolphins are expected to name former Houston Texans head coach Dom Capers as their new defensive coordinator, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported. Richard Smith and Will Muschamp essentially served as the unit's co-coordinators in 2005. Smith had the title of defensive coordinator, while Muschamp's title Assistant Head Coach/Defense. Recently dismissed as the Texans' head coach, Capers posted an 18-46 record in four seasons (2002-05), including a league-worst 2-14 mark this year. He was 31-35 in four seasons (1995-98) with the Carolina Panthers, and Capers was the first head coach in the history of both teams. In only the second season of the franchise's existence, Capers, 55, led the Panthers to the NFC Championship Game in 1996. He was unable to register the same kind of results, though, in Houston, where the Texans never won more than seven games in a season under his stewardship and regressed badly in 2005.
