Jason Cole report on Doug Whaley
Jauronimo replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Or maybe the ceiling was incorrectly identified all along. Or maybe you should pay attention to the floor in these scenarios (i.e., risk). That's what I said. He focuses on when it works out and those instances where its clearly worth the risk. What about when it isn't worth the risk? What about when the safe pick crushes it? You can't base your draft philosophy on the success stories while ignoring the other side of the coin. Why don't I tell you the story of Qualcomm, Google, Facebook as evidence of how buying tech stocks is the way to get super rich? We won't talk about the dotcom crash. We won't mention all the failures. Assuming risk isn't inherently good, despite what I'm reading here. -
Self-transformation could take years, cost thousands in self-help books and therapy, and its hardly guaranteed to work. On the flipside, I can buy a pair robins egg blue shorts online in 5 minutes for $50. Hmmmm...stop being such an insufferable prick or buy new pastel shorts? Wow, that's a tough one....idiot.

Which is why those wacky few of us who intend to be in the company of women are paying attention. Because posting up at the nearest Hooters after the hot rod show just isn't the same.

Woods didn't (and doesn't) have the height or blazing speed that scouts get enamored with. You know, that Tavon Austin, Cordarelle Patterson, and Justin Hunter type athleticism that scouts covet. We can play this game all day and look at who was selected after our guy. The same game works with 31 other NFL teams too. BADOL has a point, in a bubble, but fails to acknowledge how often players who just need a little "polish" fail to materialize. I doubt he'd take it easy on Whaley for drafting a bunch of first day projects that didn't pan out. Especially if solid no brainer types were on the board. -
Yours is a unique case as you need a pocket on each thigh to hold your testicles so you can actually have a sit now and then. You're medically exempt from fashion critiques.

Which begs the question, why is a grown man trying his best to pull off entitled, fratty, lax bro? Are you one of those guys who uses a lot of sailing and nautical terms in their everyday speech but has never actually been on a boat? How many cardigans do you own? The try-too-hard, Vineyard Vines clad, New England bro is the male answer to the basic white chick.

I know its a 180 from how you earn your living, but I would love to see what you could "report" if you weren't held to the standard of actual journalism and were so inclined and free to report what you know is true but fails to meet the level of professionalism expected of someone in your line of work. Great stuff. -
Bills should sign Mike Neal to training camp...

Whats Michael Jasper doing these days? Can he play LB? Does he even have ACLs? Do you think he likes Pokémon? Which part would he sing in a barber shop quartet? -

Under/Over Tyrod Taylor Completions on the Season: +/- 1 I'm tempted to take the over. -

I agree. Its time to take a bath with the toaster. There really isn't another option. You gotta be the change you wish to see. -

Yeah, that was my point. Do you recall how well those moves worked out? -

No, its not. EJ was drafted in April. Tuel was drafted in April. Kolb went down August 24th. That's 2 weeks before the season started. Two weeks before the season isn't early. Lewis was signed on August 25th. Leinart was signed at the same time. Matt Flynn was brought in after that. There are ZERO QBs in the league that can be signed midseason that represent better options than the guys who were already on your roster and participated in camp, which is why Tuel ultimately started a game. Familiarize yourself with the facts and lose the agenda. -

Jeff Tuel started a game after the two guys before him went down. Kolb was the intended starter and went down in pre-season, then EJ went down. Then Thad Lewis crapped the bed. Show me a team with a strong 4th string QB. -
Not enough pockets!!

I can't say that I'm particularly knowledgeable about proper attire for a hot rod show, but I would not wear cargo shorts to that event.
-
No f@#$ing way you'd catch me in cargo shorts in out in public. However, 8 years ago, for the express purpose of attending a music festival and carrying as much beer and bottled water as possible, cargo shorts were highly convenient.

Poor taste.

I know Ed Wang tested positive for MSG a few times but I'm not sure how many other players and current Bills were implicated in that scandal. If I had to bet, I'd say Eddie Lacy is about 30% MSG. He's definitely been using. I wonder if the NFL will lighten up on it once some better science comes out, kinda like marijuana.

I don't have any specific issues with you, but you're probably an a#$hole, statistically speaking.

In the digital age, there's no such thing as deleting content. Your post lives on for all to see; a testament to your character. I hope this was a learning experience for you. Chews you're words carefully and consider the ram affectations or except the cons and quinces.

I have really enjoyed Halt and Catch Fire. Its set in the 80s, amazing soundtrack (puts Stranger Things to shame in that regard), really cool vibe. The backdrop for the show is early days of the computer/tech race. The first 2 seasons are available on Netflix for some quality bingeing. Also check out the official HACF playlist on Spotify. I just finished Season 2 last night.

Don't be ridiculous. That's an absurd argument and an intellectually dishonest one at that.

I hope he does just so we can see all the chuds on this board once again display their boundless ignorance on US Naval history while climbing over each other in their efforts to be named the most outraged and easily offended, self righteous kitty of them all.

I can't believe people are dismissing the idea. The guy averaged 1,041 yards per year in his three full seasons with the team. If you extrapolate those numbers across a 15 year career, hes in the top 5 all time. Not all time Bills, but ALL TIME NFL HISTORY!! Jerry Rice, TO, Stevie Johnson, Randy Moss and Isaac Bruce. That's pretty incredible.
