  1. Walter Football.com's Free agent chart. Seems to me like a smart move. Best available free agent quarterback. Cost a few more bucks than I'd like, but what are you going to do. He fits the west-coast system really well. At the end of the day... I pay good money to watch my beloved Bills win. They are trying to make that happen. I like it. Give it a shot. Better to strike out swinging the bat than watching the pitch hit the catcher's glove. That being said, I'd like to see a QB in rounds 1 or 2... every year UNTIL THEY HIT A HOME RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I actually think Dave Wannstedt is a person with a lot of character. He just didn't get the job done from a coaching perspective. With a head coach leaving, assistants will be gone as well.
  3. Coached one of the best defenses in football. Before that... gained valuable head coaching experience. Six years with one team. Made the playoffs. Won a playoff game. Ever heard of a coach improving in his second go around? Before that... Coached under Budddy Ryan. Guess he has some strong roots in defense that have actually carried to today's game. Before that... Played for the Bills. Defensive rookie of the year as a linebacker.... An area we could use some help. The redskins linebackers looked pretty damn good this year. I like that he is a strong personality. I liked that about malarkey. He may not be Cowher or Parcels but he seems like a guy that players will follow.
  4. I'll take this guy as our head coach. http://cdn3.sbnation.com/imported_assets/1275197/t_20678_07.jpg Can you imagine London Fletcher in a Bills uniform all these years? Haslett said he was the smartest player he has ever coached. Don't forget tough as nails.
  5. Grumpier Old Men Well...you can wish in one hand and crap in the other and see which one gets filled first.
  6. If we don't have football next year, how will Ralph get his Lombardi Trophy? He has a limited no. of chances and the odds are clearly against him. He needs football! "So your sayin' there's a chance!"
  7. I agree. Drafting "BIG" in the top few rounds is never a bad thing. I'd be OK with that. That's why a "gimmick" QB in the lower rounds could be valuable. He'd have a small role and focus on it. MAYBE run the option. If he's a low rounder, it's not like we'd have a lot of $$ tied up in him. Let it rip. Make some waves. Let the team have a little fun and throw opponents for a loop! At the end of the day, it makes more sense than rolling the dice that a prototypical QB drafted in the 7th round will get his name on a Wheaties box. No problem there. As long as the price is right... this is a recession after all!
  8. The front office WILL draft a QB in the top half of the draft I can foresee the pick being a "mobile" QB that can run a gimmick offense which will incorporate CJ Spiller. Chan has the type of vision to use this QB to offset the more traditional offense that he will run with Fitzpatrick. This is a good way to get more out of the offense. We will need to offset the lack of talent/ or experience we will likely have on the right side of the offensive line.
