Trying to consider how Beane has thought and shifted over the years. I imagine they both play a role when choosing depending on position and need. Need ? you take the high Floor and stay risk adverse I might imagine. Hairston is high ceiling ?? Thoughts Context and perspective matter. At my ceiling , I am and old arm chair PS player It's not a bad talent , basketball to football that has some skill crossover. ( see what I did there ? lol ) -

And why is so much harder to pick after say ... 20. Depending on position to varying degrees btw His 3 pointer was a flat missile. poor rotation on the ball. all effort and no finesse Needs to clean that up -

Well they brought in an Old McD coached LB more recently. That's a tell. I suggest he has more athletic ability , but feels like the same concept. Are we mentally weak after Milano still at LB ? As Shaw mentions Dorian is still not there based upon last years gameplay. BTW Excellent reading today from all of the above. All opinions worthwhile Thanks folks , for learnin' me a bit more ! And pointing to perspectives about McDermott's thought process that I do agree with. and so after all that 🙂 We have semi opposed opinions here as to whether live reps for a Rookie still learning are better than him learning from the vets watching tape and mentoring the details. I am quite sure McD picks teachers for veteran leadership more when pulling from FA. Miller actually fit that Bill I thought , regardless of contract. Dane and Tre are fine recent examples as to this.

The plain fact that Jackson can be retained on PS is what he was brought in for. Good move by McBeanes imo Thats easy with McD Veteran , every time. And I agree Push the rookie to start two different mantras we have.
-
Good to hear about Hairston. I bet McBeanes feel he is going to be integral to the game and soon
-
Hopefully they cancel each other out. and net us White = serviceable

We don't know what Beane has offered We do know this if said offer was presented , it was not accepted. I agree with you. Also feel Beane is a straight shooter. So to me it seems Cook and his "agent" have been unreasonable. Incentives could have played a huge part to bring that # up. There must have been a fair + or workable offer on the table. My opinions

I approve of this post

Put Bosa and Rousseau on the same side for few looks lol. Bosa as the LB expand for my bolded
-
If Bills want to pay him , they need more from him. I cant speak to Kamara stats over the years or the Offense he has played in. But it seems Cook would fit better outside the tackles whether run or pass God Bless our O line and wr/te downfield blocking last season creating lanes btw So Is Cook a worthwhile investment for the Bills at this point
-
Imagine if Brady made better use of his HBs , to get solid chip on a blitz. Or help out Dion against Chris Jones lol
-
Not the whole scheme ! Can easily be run centric again with proper Coaching on the field and from the Booth lol. btw I expect the passing game might be a bit more focused on under Brady. Kromer proved his point about "his Boys" 👍 and the run
-
Because he's a pass catching RB. Actually his strength. We old guys still want that 3 down cloud of dirt and blood RB who forces missed tackles by running over sht in a loaded box

just to clarify The poster said "coming out of College " I believe could have drafted one easily this year to replace Cook after the 3rd round. You wont get the same rewards year one , but you can find players who are fast and catch the ball out of the backfield readily. Fit the scheme is the trick I am really not sold on that Davis , who is nothing like Cook and Ty (luvya ) would be able to present the same offense matchups Surprised they didnt draft one in sincerity ! Who could replace that speed after catch and balance
