I mean you can only play who is on your schedule, but I mean come on...has there been an easier 5 game stretch in the NFL this season??

    Steelers, Lions, Bears, Browns, Texans.

Could see them losing the next 3 in a row with the 49ers, Chargers and Bills the next 3 up.

The Lions took them to the mat like they did to the Bills, so I'll call that one not an easy win.  They had to play ball to beat them so they're not a poser in my opinion

The sizzle on this team is Josh Allen flinging the ball all over the pitch, but the steak is clearly the defense.  They have shut down every team they've played so far.

They gave up 20 points in the first half against the red hot Ravens offense and blanked them in the second.  That 20 point total against the Raven's offense is even more impressive when you consider that 10 of those points came directly off turnovers by the offense.  The Ravens scored a TD on a drive that started on the Bills' 4 yard line after the opening drive interception, and the Ravens kicked a field goal on a drive that started on the Bills 36 yard line after Singletary fumbled in the second quarter.

This defense is also a ball hawking defense and has 9 turnovers through the first 4 games, 7 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries.  There are only two teams with more, the Eagles and Ravens have 10 each.

They are also 4th in the NFL with sacks through 4 games with 13.  There are only three teams with more, Bucs 14, Cowboys 15, and the Eagles with 16.

The Bills defense is second in points allowed per game at 14.5.  Only the 49ers are ahead of us averaging 12.3 per game.  The 49ers still have to play their week 4 game tonight against the Rams.

The Bills defense is second in yards allowed per game at 234.  Only the 49ers are better at 227 yards and as noted above, they still have their week 4 tilt against the Rams to play.

When you factor in the amount of injuries on the defensive side of the ball for the Bills these performances are even more impressive.  We are getting close to having Tre White and Ed Oliver back on the field and that should only kick things up a notch.  When Josh Allen and the Bills offense is clicking they are amazing to watch, but the defense is the strength of this team.   I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that the 2022 Bills defense has the potential to be one of the all time great NFL defenses.

I won't argue that the defense isn't a strength, but Josh Allen is by far carrying this team on his back, and I'll also say so is Stephon Diggs.  I can't rave about a defense that still has very little pass rush, so I can't agree with you here.

I was in the "either Josh will make me happy" camp heading into the draft.  I liked Darnold, but knew he was out.  I did not like Mayfield, Rudolph or Jackson at all.

As the evening unfolded, I ended up being ecstatic that we got Josh Allen.  Josh Rosen did a great job putting on full display what an arrogant little douche he is.

Josh Allen did the exact opposite.

I do remember that too about Rosen.  After seeing that I thought maybe we dodged a bullet there, and I also never cared for Mayfield...

  4. Considering my 3 QBs in order of who I wanted the Bills to draft were::

    1.  Josh Rosen

    2.  Josh Allen

    3.  Mason Rudolph

I'd say I was fairly disappointed they didn't draft Rosen, as I thought he was going to just be laser sharp, but then shifted my attention to Allen.  He actually began winning me over slowly with his draft stage interview.  I thought, "OK kid, you're a Bill now, prove me wrong".

Anyone who saw that pass(including me that day, hoped there was much more in the tank).  I just didn't get my hopes too high, as the 20 years of garbage football has beaten the living $h1t out of my optimism.  Props to anyone who saw it that day too.

Ohh... and lastly, "pre-season Peterson" had me very hesitant to get excited about anything I saw in pre-season...

Yes but out of all those other teams you just named, it is arguable that black on the panthers makes the most sense.

I can't disagree with you there.  between the Titans and the panthers, I don't know whose regular game jerseys are worse, so in thise case, it's an improvement.

  6. I was there... will never get it out of my head.  In our parts, we refer to it as "The Music City Mistake"

As far as any decisions they made that day regarding the pooch kick, let's keep in mind there was 16 seconds on the clock, and clearly the Bills have found ways to lose games with much less time on the clock than that.

What is this teams biggest weakness this year?

    CB depth/talent?

    Offensive Line?

    Coaching?

If our season doesn't go as planned what will be the culprit?

CB Depth,  Pass rush pressure, lack of a dominating ground game.

Just look at the KC playoff game.  The defense had none of that, and the offense was pedestrian on the ground.

If MLB can do it, hopefully so can the NFL.

I love this.  Not because of Apple, just because anyone will have access to it now.

apparently you don't need the dish to get the ticket, you can get it from their streaming service now.  I have decided a couple of years ago to just get NFL gamepass, go do stuff during the acrual game, then watch it right afterward.  you can hide final scores on the NFL app and fact forward through all the BS for 99 bucks, or watch the condensed game.

I can without a doubt say that Schwartz wouldn’t have had the secondary playing 30 yards off the LOS. Frazier is a weak coward of a DC, he is very good at developing players in the secondary but that doesn’t mean he should be calling plays on defense.

I'm going to go out on a limb here with you and agree that for whatever reason, this defense never looked like a #1 defense to me, especially against good teams.  I know they looked great at times, just not when it really mattered the most.
