Hold onto the #8 pick and use the full allotted 10 minutes before using it, hoping that another team makes you a trade offer so good you can't refuse.
If that offer doesn't materialize, pick the best player available regardless of position.
In the second round look for a quarterback and if the guy they've targeted is available within 10 picks, try to trade up to assure getting him as long as you don't pay too high a price. IMO none of these QBs are worth paying a premium for.
Don't make moves out of desparation because none of the prospects are worth making aggressive moves for.
Let the draft come to you (in the form of trade offers).

So the Jaguars who need all the help they can get give up 3 good picks to take on Williams and his hefty contract instead of drafting a guy that can be just as productive for a fraction of the price?
Not to mention they could keep their picks to address other needs.
Sorry but this trade defies logic and is something only a Bills fan would come up with.

He's 7-8 years younger than Brady and manning. The future is a lot more about flacco than the fading iconsThat's the most redeeming quality about him but that still doesn't mean he's worth that kind of money.
If you owned a team would you really want to pay Flacco $20 million a season?

We need to start looking at free agent QBs
There are no good free agent QBs that can come in and clearly be better than Fitz. I'd rather gamble with a rookie QB.

We probably got lucky that Nassib didn't have the strongest week at the Senior Bowl because we can probably safely grab him in the 2nd while taking BPA in the 1st.
I still think that Nassib has as good upside.

This senior bowl reinforces one thing for me: geno smith is head and shoulders above these 2nd tier QBs.

It's only dumb if you think you can win with Fitz. You can lose with anyone. And I disagree on FAs. If I'm representing a QB, I want him to go to a team where the job is open. Fitz staying only complicates free agency.
You are missing the point completely.

If you like Wilson, take him at 8 and be done with it. Why trade back and risk losing the guy you like?

I don't think that is clear-cut in stone. If the Bills do get a veteran in FA like Alex Smith or trade for Matt Flynn, then they will cut Fitz. I don't think the Bills are going to pay Fitz a third year in a row for mediocre play at the most important position, unless the coaching staff believes they can salvage him
Like I said, we currently have nobody to replace Fitz. Cutting him before you do is dumb. It gives free agents and trading partners all the leverage because they know we have nobody playing QB.
Also, I can't stand the Alex Smith and Matt Flynn talk only because you'd be paying those guys close to what you'd be paying Fitz without either being a clear upgrade.
