Yes..Dalton is so overrated it makes me sick. There's nothing about him that makes me think he can be a successful starting QB in the NFL. I'd much rather draft Newton at #3 than take Dalton in any round.
-
As long as we go defense I think we get a good player and I really like the thought of trading down......
The other player that is growing on me is QB Dalton......2 second round picks this year sound really good......
1st (in a tradedown) Robert Quinn
2nd QB Dalton
2nd OT Marcus Cannon
3rd Best LB available
3rd Best LB available
Are you serious with drafting Dalton in the 2nd round? The guy is beyond average. Doesn't have ideal size. Doesn't have a strong arm. Is a ginger. He's a career backup. Drafting him the 2nd is severely overdrafting. Especially when our 2nd round pick is basically high enough so it's like having another 1st round pick.
-
Highly, highly doubt it.
-
Once again. You need to have another team willing to trade up in order to trade down. It's not as easy as people make it seem. Trading the 3rd pick in the draft and settling for a mid 1st, 3rd, and 4th round pick just for the sake of trading down is retarded.
Also, WR is no where near being good enough to ignore an obvious upgrade. Green instantly becomes the best WR on this team and our #1 for many years. Evans disappears in games. Stevie still has mental lapses with dropping the ball. Roscoe is a good slot guy. Nelson was solid lat year. Jones is nothing special and is a guy who is easily replaceable.
-
I don't know how some people can think we're set at WR and drafting Green would be a mistake. We may have some decent talent but majority of those guys are easily replaceable. Green can be a game changer and a #1 receiver for years to come.

Everyone seems to have a high opinion of Dalton.....I know Maylock does.
Just take Dalton in the second....then you have your QB to develop. He has talent and there wont be any pressure to start him immediately with Fitz......
I really wanted that 2nd round pick for a RT though......
Taking Dalton at the very top of the 2nd round is criminal. He's a 3rd rounder at best and even then I'd feel uneasy about using our 3rd pick on him.

Live and learn. Generally smart QBs get better as time goes on. Fitz is one of the smartest ever according to education and wonderlick score. Fitz will actually have the benefit of an entire off season as the starter. Buffalo has an offensive mind running the show for the first time in YEARS. We have WRs that have stepped up and shown their worth during a year where we were obviously trying to see what we had. Again with an entire off season and guys coming back healthy like Parrish and the promising rookie Easley we have more optimism at that position than we have had since Moulds had a running partner in Price and later Evans.
What we saw last year is the absolute best Fitz will be in the NFL.

Much like Tebow did, Kaepernick is going to have work with a QB coach during the weeks leading up to the combine to completely rework his throwing motion and mechanics. He also needs to add some weight to his frame to increase his durability of being an NFL QB.

Saw Chan flash a big smile towards Ponder during QB drills.

Anthony Costanzo, AJ Green, Marcel Dareus.

I've seen a ton of peoples mock drafts having us take Donte Moch......idk anything about him. What's the hype?
He runs really fast. He's just severely undersized and lacks any kind of football instincts.
-
People watched the BCS Championship, saw that Casey Matthews played LB and concluded that because he's Clay Matthews brother, has long hair, and plays a position of need that we should draft him. I've seen him go as early as rounds 2 and 3 and it makes me want to vomit.

no?
0-2

Maybe he'll even have the sack to call a spade a spade.
You don't have a stache like that unless you have grape fruits for testicles.

Crap players tend to look better on good teams with good players around them. In other breaking news, oceans contain water.
-
The Bills don't like them either. That's why they haven't gotten close to one in so long.
-
Having Godgers certainly helps.
there. fyp

Chan and Buddy are still taking out the trash from the last regime so they can start a whole new cycle of trash for the next regime to have to flush.

What's your thinking on McNabb?
His lifetime stats aren't great and he threw 15 INTS to 14 TD this last season
I don't think Mallett and Gabbert last to the 2nd round but I could be mistaken
McNabb seems like a good fit in Chan's offense with his mobility. Last season was a fit with the Skins. Maybe a change of scenery with a lot of up and coming talent on offense will do him wonders.
Also, I don't think those QB's get to the 2nd round (besides Ponder). I just wouldn't use anything higher than our 2nd on any of them. Ponder may be available at the top of the 3rd, however.

To somewhere in this multi layered thread to which this applies, I felt a sudden compulsion to respond after watching franchise qbs in action.
If how a player performs in big games is a factor in how they are viewed than
if
Jay Cutler = Franchise QB
Caleb Hanie > Jay Cutler
Ryan Fitzpatrick => Caleb Hanie
Ryan Fitzpatrick = Franchise QB
Draft defense, Acquire more defense in FA, Improve defense side coaching √(did that)
playoffs next year.
You're logic after watching Hanie playing for half of a game is terrible.

Draft: Locker (2nd rd or later), Mallett (2nd rd or later), Gabbert (2nd rd or later), Ponder (2nd rd or later: I added him to your list)
FA: McNabb

Aaron Rodgers wins championships. Lol. This guy is on fire.
God Mode activated.

We're staying with the 3-4 long term. We're implementing 4-3 sets to utilize the personnel we have now until we have more players best suited for the 3-4.
OK so opinion time....what round do you think QB

Trent Edwards never threw a ton of interceptions. Vince Young has a good winning percentage. What's your point? I don't like Dalton's size and arm. I rarely saw his name mentioned until the Rose Bowl. It seems like people watched the Rose Bowl, Googled his stats and just assume he's some great QB. He's been less than stellar during Senior Bowl practices as well.
