  1. Not literally kneeling but questioning BLM or even saying something that is not in direct support of BLM are being heavily scrutinized and peoplr are losing their jobs. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nypost.com/2020/06/15/vermont-principal-placed-on-leave-over-facebook-post-on-blm/amp/ https://petapixel.com/2020/06/10/bh-removes-employee-over-anti-blm-tweets/ There are many more but you probably get the point.
  2. I feel like this guy's videos have been posted here before. He's an idiot who tries to be funny but isn't. Let's not give him the attention he seeks
  3. They almost have to kneel out of necessity at this point at the risk of a character assassination by the angry mob. We are seeing people lose their livelihoods over this. The cancel culture is real strong right now.
  4. Almost didn't bother to click on this thread expecting all political questions.
  5. I hate this liberal state. Just the other day Cuomo said that police should be holding looters and rioters in jail despite him making that literally impossible. It's all just a game of catch and release now.
  6. I respect Allen's right to have an opinion even though I think it's dumb.
  7. I don't care if he's friends with Diggs, the answer is no.
  8. I don't go out of my way to tell people they are being recorded but I also don't hide the fact if they ask. I've had a lot of instances where people pull out their phones to record me and I either inform them if they don't already know or remind them that I'm also recording. More often than not, the general public know I'm recording and the ones that try to record me are doing it just to instigate.
  9. There's nothing a good cop hates more than a bad cop. The overwhelming majority legitimately care and are only trying to do a good job. I'm also in favor of more and better training but you can't accomplish that if the goal is to defund or abolish police.
  10. Where did I say it was okay that they didn't intervene? I actually said the opposite.. My department requires we wear body cameras and it's our policy that we record every interaction. The batteries in them may not last all day though especially if they are always on and being used a lot. I'm not a defense attorney but I'm pretty sure they would have a big issue with the arrests of their clients being broadcast to the public. I'm just assuming you're not a cop and never had to wear a body camera. It's not uncommon that they get knocked off when someone fights with you. What happens then if the altercation is not clearly recorded? Do we just throw the case out? Do you understand how dangerous of a precedent you'd be setting? Personally, I don't have a problem wearing a body camera and I've had a lot of times where people stop acting a fool when they realize I'm recording. You want to rebuild the trust then work with police and try and find common ground. I don't see how vilifying every cop and treating us like crap is going to fix things.
  11. FWIW 2 of the officers involved were only on the job for 3 and 4 days respectively. They should have intervened but I understand why they didn't. Tough for a guy in his first week to tell his training officer of 19 years that he's doing something wrong. On an unrelated note, I once got a complaint from someone who was upset that I didn't give him a speeding ticket. It was a few weeks before Christmas so I figured I'd give the guy a break for going nearly 25 mph over the speed limit. Apparently I was wrong ? Like an offensive lineman if we want to keep things football related
  12. Why would it get tossed?
  13. Stupidity seems to be running rampant so it wouldn't surprise me
  14. Wasn't it just Darnold and Kyle Allen?
  15. Cops doing their jobs well doesn't make for a good story.
  16. The number I saw was roughly 18,000.
  17. The big man won't be stopped.
  18. Has Fromm been released and arrested yet?
  19. I'm not deflecting. It seems you think the issue here is police brutality and accountability, and sure it's part of it. The main point of these protests though is about race. It always is when a white cop kills a black person. I've yet to see BLM protest anything that wasn't. We can put the race part aside and talk about what it seems like you think the issue is. How do we solve the accountability issue, assuming there is one? Who determines which force is excessive or unecessary?
  20. 53% of all murders in the US are committed by black people or 13% of the polulation. The majority of murders in this country are committed by black men or roughly 6% of the polulation The overwhelming majority of black murder victims are killed by other black people. Make no mistake, police brutality is wrong and they need to be held accountable but black people are targeting and victimizing black peoples far more than police. How many police departments have tanks and what did they cost? Less police officers means more overworked police officers which leads to stress and morale problems. How does that benefit the public again? Im all for more and better training but it takes money to do that.
  21. This isn't just about police brutity, police violence or even police accountability. This is about black people and some fake narrative. 55% of the people killed by police are white and 27% are black. Cops are 18 times more likely to be killed by a black person than the other way around. BLM is such a joke of a movement and it's a shame that the people with the biggest platforms are using it to push some nonsense. People want police reform including better and more training but also want to defund the police. You can't have both.
  22. Can't imagine he's gotten any better since he's been out of the league
