  1. Watching the Eagles offence move the ball in the first half last night and slice up the Redskins D brought back some pleasant memories of the Bills no huddle of the early 90s. Jackson and Vick looked like Thurman and Kelly out there. The only problem is (as others have pointed out) is that Vick and Jackson cannot take the pounding and cannot possibly last. The defences out there today are so much bigger, faster and the hits must be so much harder than the glory day days of the K gun. These guys will just wear out under that pace!
  2. I remember Leonhard making a big gaffe on some important play back in the Jauron era when he was here. Was it the Dallas Monday night game? Anyway He went on to the Ravens and played pretty well in that one season if I remember. The rest of his career has been apparently injury plagued.
  3. Yes Spiller was great last year and no I dont agree with the OP's view, however today's fumble was absolutely inexcusable as fumbles go. He basically dropped the ball trying to shift hands, no hit or strip or anything. Set the table for the deadliest QB in history to kill us again. He should have been benched for that to wake his butt up.
  4. If you look at the convoy of 49ers escorting the interceptor down the sidelines on this play, why do they not just obliterate Brady and get him out of the way? There are two 49ers in position that could have done the job. Especially #91. Then they go and screw it up on the next play and dont get any points. I guess they were scared of the "roughing the Brady" rule that the refs have. Cant lay a finger on him!
  5. Is it just me or were there a bunch of really weird calls in the Pats Niners game? Followed up of course with some long wordy and ultimately incomprehensible explanations by Ed Hochuli. The one that really baffled me was when Brady was almost sacked in the 1st half and ended up releasing the ball in an incomplete pass. The pass was a lateral if not slightly backward so it should have been a fumble? Hochuli comes up with some convoluted explanation that because Brady was hit while throwing and he intended to throw it forward (how the hell would Ed know that) it was an incomplete forward pass. But the defender doesnt hit the ball just Brady so how was it not a lateral? and therefore a fumble? Or was this the usual refs helping the Pats BS? And why wasnt it challenged?
  6. Was the Fitz 1st down sneak ever explained?
  7. Yeah it was classless but nothing tops that Ahole bellichick going for 2 against Jaurons bills repeatedly when they were up by 40pts a few years back on a sunday night? game. That was the worse display of sportsmanship I have ever seen. Carroll's was minor in comparisson
  8. This is such BS, the Bills have such a limited fan base in the city of Toronto. The fans like me are from the area outside the city, Halton and Niagara. Thats why they get no love in these games.
  9. I dont think we have seen the deep potential of Chan's stupidity yet!
  10. A Flea flicker, sighhh, do you remember when we had an interesting Offence and did those? and reverses and exciting stuff?
  11. Can anyone explain to me why Chan doesnt trust Lindell to make that kick from the 34? and why he didnt try for a TD at the end of the half?
  12. I have said this before about Chan........ to quote Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glenross,........ FIRE HIS FU$KIN ASS, BECAUSE A LOSER IS A LOSER!!!
  13. one of the worst passes I have ever seen thrown by a Bills Qb. Thanks Fitz
  14. this game shouldnt have been close. Chan is to blame.
  15. Blowhard is the best way to describe Dickerson. I am sure he did know the game reasonably well but a lot of his coaching plays that he would try to explain in his show seemed to be pulled right from his butt. What finished me listening to him was his constant criticism of Flutie and his unconditional love of Johnson even after Johnson was proved a fraud. Funny that people have mentioned the hockey shows. They were truly cringeworthy!
  16. Sad but true!
  17. Wow I dont like the Steelers but I found myself cheering for Charlie Batch against the Ravens. There is something very old school about Batch's mechanics when he throws or even when he hands off that reminds me of the NFL Qbs back in the 80s. The guy played a hell of a game and beat one of the best Ds in football. And this from a 38 year old, 3rd string Qb?
  18. I dont think the Schopp and Bulldog show is painful to listen to as Chans is. I get what the OP was saying about Simon having to bite his tongue along with Jeremy. I think that the Fitz and Chan shows are an example of the company line where the questions are soft rather than incisive.
  19. Funny, I was just thinking about WGR recently and how it has now become what it used to mock, ie the "company line". Do they even use that ad line any more? Anyway I dont think they have completely sold out but all these shows that they have like Chan's or Fitz's are just shill jobs for the Bills. Not to mention they are just dull. The Chan show is painful to listen to. He really comes across as clueless or maybe its the good ole boy accent. I dont know. I would much rather hear some critical No BS opinions by the people that cover the Bills rather than Chan making excuses or babbling nonsense.
  20. Its not a tough playcall when you consider this Bills defence and their penchant for choking with the game on the line esp this season. I bet Chan trusted the D to get the stop on Tennessee as well and they folded. In this game with a rookie Qb pinned deep most people would count on their D to get a stop but with Wanny running the show as badly as he has been, how the hell could you trust him to get a 3 and out?
  21. I'll watch because I'm a sucka and a masochist. Perhaps I can whip my own back with a cat o 9 tails while viewing, that might take the edge off.
  22. It was Chan's inept playcalling that led us to that 4th and long in the first place. No running of Spiller in the 4th?? WTF and then the gutless Jauron call to punt. Pathetic. The only thing that makes Jauron worse is his corpselike deathstare.
  23. I'll admit the defense was ok today but you had to think they would fail on the last drive. I think the PI call on the last drive was marginal but PI anyway. But by that stage it didnt matter if the Colts had punted or not because the Bills would have been pinned deep with no TOs .
  24. How does Chan rationalize punting from around midfield with only 3 mins left and his defense as bad as it is? Did he actually believe that they could shutdown the Colts and get the ball back? What evidence did he have from this season to lead him to this insane conclusion. And yet there we are listening to Rich Gannon call him a great playcaller etc. This guy is a joke.
  25. I wish I had appreciated those teams in the 90s, seems like a 1000 years ago.
