  1. They’ll get Carson Wentz and they’ll like it.
  2. Clearly that’s the case. And the Tua situation is obviously serious. But our staff isn’t any more careful than the other 30 teams (excluding Miami) in the league when it comes to injury management. It’s just a homer thing we keep saying because of Tre in the wake of Tua. I would like to believe this specific situation doesn’t happen in Buffalo. But from a general injury perspective our coaching staff isn’t special. EDIT: I’m not comparing apples to grapefruits. I highlighted a post that said our coaching staff was cautious regarding injury. A statement I keep seeing posted, which is a knee jerk to how long it took Tre to come back. But at scale really isn’t true.
  3. This isn’t true at all. I think it largely comes from Tre taking 12 months to come back, so the fan base has turned it into some noble venture. Allen is playing with an injury to his throwing arm. Poyer played a game where he wasn’t healthy enough to get on an airplane. Cole Beasley played on a broken leg. Mitch Morse will likely be cleared to play at some point after his 6th NFL concussion. Not counting juniors or college. Tommy Doyle played a game with a torn ACL and McD praised his toughness for doing it in the post game. None of those instances are player for at precautions. The Tua thing is a disaster for the NFL, the Dolphins, and McDaniels. But the Bills aren’t some holier than thou franchise when it comes to injuries.
  4. The Jets and Dolphins are a QB away. Maybe the Jets more so than Miami. The Jets with Tua are likely scarier than Miami is at their peak. If I am either franchise I likely consider having serious talks with Payton and what his plans for QB would be. I think both current staffs have both teams in a decent spot, I wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger on Payton and a new QB.
  5. Nothing says “you’re all fired in 2 weeks” like naming the clock management specialist you hired mid season as your interim head coach.
  6. I hope this doesn’t happen. If it does I hope the league steps in before hand to stop it. That would be insane. But not out of the realm of possibility for big money American football.
  7. Him being the Miami coach aside, I think McDaniels does a good job of x’s, o’s and prep. He’s really botched the Tua concussion issues, to the extent that he’s endangering his safety both short and long term. If this were my team I would want him out of the building. I don’t care if we were 17-0.
  8. Ok, let’s calm down. Step away from the eggnog.
  9. I was just having this conversation. It feels like it revolves mainly around Tre. But we have a QB with an injured throwing elbow, Poyer wasn’t allowed on an airplane, Beasley played with a broken leg, Morse is going to get cleared to play another NFL game after 6 NFL concussions alone. I don’t think McDermott is as careful as some would like him to believe. McDaniels is just risking Tua’s life.
  10. I actually think McDaniels had the potential to be a grow into a pretty competent coach. He was certainly maximizing Tua. But if you’re Miami I think you have to move on. At least as a fan I would want to. He is a huge part of Tua facing serious long term brain injury. Just from a people perspective I wouldn’t want that in house. Let alone in charge. Intentions be damned.
  11. If Russ played to expectations Hackett would likely still have his job. He’d still be doing a bad job. But he’d be employed and Denver would at least think they were building something. But they’d also be wrong. There is clip from an interview on PMT/Barstool that is super disturbing. Basically in some bio/research class, Hackett pointed a sliced artery of a live test animal and started squirting it at his classmates. And that’s the moment he knew he was going to be a football coach because of his “sense of humor”.
  12. Yeah, it’s not a hill I am dying on.
  13. My preference a few weeks ago went: 1. Pats 2. Jets 3. Dolphins With the Phins imploding and the Mike White hype train, I think I might rather see the Dolphins in January.
  14. Hackett is only a very small part of their issues. Broncos are toast going forward. I wouldn’t touch that job with a 100000 foot pole. A washed up Russ with CTE and the worst co tract in the NFL. No first round picks, and an estimated $15M in cap space.
  15. Good to see that the QB position barely matter in Philly. Gardner Minshew putting up huge points.
  16. It looked like a straight crosswind most of the game. The wind pushed it left outside of Cooks hands underneath which means it sailed to LB. He didn’t mean that it sailed down field.
  17. Too much hero hall this year to be MVP. I really didn’t understand taking that scramble/throw away on 3rd and long rather than at least giving Singletary a chance to make a play. He is amazing. Likely the most valuable player to any franchise in the league. When he’s hot he’s the best player in the league. But sometimes he links these drives together with the dumbest decisions.
  18. I am tempted to agree with you but he been out most of the year and has barely done any until recently.
  19. Micah is in a lot of the Bills content this week. That makes me think he’s coming back for the playoffs.
  20. Every night I ask little baby football Jesus to send Zay Jones home.
  21. I don’t know why we don’t roll Allen right anymore. That was Dabolls bread and butter with everybody running crossers and curls. As far as the screen game. I don’t know. I think partially the OL. I also think we telegraph it a bit. Allen doesn’t look down field and we never seem to allow the DL through. We just can’t get the defense to overcommit so I assume it’s an execution issue.
  22. Gentlemen, we have arrived! It feels good to finally be the good team that the refs favor. It was a long 20 years with Brady at the mantle. It feels good to take the thrown. Eff it, I will take it. Look at me being a Patriots fan this weekend.
  23. This is so dumb. I think we look so stupid talking about the weather for that game. All this fan base did was talk about the snow, incorrectly reference the equity rule, and talk about what a revenge game thus was going to be. It was a giant nothing burger. Tua played well. Miami played well. The Bills didn’t get any revenge this game. They came in much healthier than before in neutral conditions and squeaked a win out. New flash, every time likely traveled everywhere this time of year with the pack list you referenced. It was likely on their plane to LA as well. They would be wildly irresponsible not to bring that pack list anywhere outside of south Florida no matter what the weather report says. Get over it.
  24. I don’t listen to any other local play by play guys. Buffalo was spoiled with Van and Rick for so long. Unsure if Murph is bad. I just assumed he is what the rest of the country gets, he’s likely average. When I hear the replacements for Miller and Jeannette I really appreciate the originals. We had it pretty good here.
  25. And this will be our frustration for the eternity of the JA17 era. I certainly wouldn't trade it. But that is the Josh Allen rollercoaster we ride on. Luckily for @SDS it will keep the board pretty healthy. The peak and valley is likely what is keeping Josh from being at the top of MVP odds. They legitimately sucked though.
