  1. I disagree and do not think that Kelsay wins the job. I like him and like the depth after adding Anderson but if he beats out Anderson=Fail

And as to your what ifs, although they apply equally to both guys, think about them playing next to Dareus, Williams and Williams.

Somehow Kelsay sounds like a second tier guy. ANDERSON would take priority as he is part od the firm. Kelsay is support only and I dont say that in a bad way. He has contributed and will continue to contribute and may in fact shine brighter in mop up duty so to speak. Again no disrespect but really he aint primetime and I think Anderson will so out shine him. We are stepping up above and beyond guys like Kelsay.

    Why? Cause we rock. NOW!

beerme what country are you from?

  2. In order:

    1. Superbowl XXV

    2. Superbowl XXVI

    3. Superbowl XXVII

    4. Superbowl XXVIII

    5. Bills/Jags 1996 Playoffs - end of an era, when Jim Kelly is knocked out of the game

    6. Bills/Titans - The forward lateral/Flutie benched - both were B.S.

    7. Bills/Steelers 2004 - eliminated from the playoffs by a bunch of backups

    8. Bills/Pats - an 11 point lead blown (take a knee McKelvin)

    9. Bills/Dallas - MNF - prevent defense & bad special teams cost the Bills

    10. Bills/Broncos - Lost by a last second field goal, and horrible game management by Jauron & Losman

most of these games were lost by a simple lack of doing.... nothing. If we just do "nothing" we win against dallas, denver, pats etc. we threw deep on the last third down against denver which fell incomplete and they kicked a FG with 1 sec on the clock, take a knee. We lose a fumble late to the pats, take a knee. We throw on third and goal instead of running and taking a FG and lose by 1 against dallas. the steelers was lost in part because bledsoe chose the wrong side or something at the coin toss. not even a play or gameplan error, just bledsoe being dumb. kellys fumble wasnt a fumble but there was no replay.

  3. I'll vote nay. Flutie's magic was only worth 10 to 13 points a game throughout most of that season.

Tennessee wouldn't have needed the officials to hand the game over to them, because Flutie would have obliged with his usual one fumble, two pick performance.

I was fine with Wade's choice to go with Johnson that day. Say what you will about whether Good Flutie might have shown up...but Johnson did what he was supposed to do to win the game.

jesus i guess you think 99 yards passing, taking sacks and not scoring at all is "doing the job". Funny I thought the defense and antowain smith had the game won. And BTW flutie had several multi TD games that saved that season, while Johnson lost that game and almost everyother game he played in because he was the master of 10-13 point offense. Getting 40 yards offense against a prevent is far from impresive when the rest of the game he could only create another 50 or so. Amazing to see people really think like you just because in the last minute we were up by a whopping 2 points after being given two huge breaks by the refs resulting in two rushing TD's in that game. I see though some people can only process one fact like , "we were up at the end, Johnson had it won=johnson did good" Nice analysis.

  4.

I wish I could find it, but I remember RJ throwning a pass, across his body, about 60 yards down field, opposite sideline, to, IIRC Eric Moulds,

1998 against the dolphins that was a great play, by moulds! Typical of RJ, he only got it off because he rolled out to his right, which was not across his body. It was the only points we scored that game as RJ was worthless on every other play of the season which is why we started 0-3 that year. The video which should be a tribute shows the sad reality of RJ being sacked, running for his life, and fumbling. Where do you see him in the pocket throwing a pass in the video???

RJ showed about as much as say mckelvin, a guy with some athletic ability with zero presence of mind to do the job.

  5. i have never been so pumped on an upcoming season, we actually have talent all over the roster, not only that but a system thats been in place for three years, depth at positions, and most importanltly a new DC with weapons.

No way we dont go 9-7 this year or better (barring catastrophic injury) not saying playoffs as you can go 10-6 and still not make it or 8-8 and make it.

all teams have weak spots, all teams get better on paper ofter the draft, all teams get worse every year do to age and we seem to forget this.

If we had awesome everything wed be a superbowl favorite, lets just be happy we will have the most important things in the game this year, a good passer and a great pass rush.

  6. TE, while not the franchise QB we hoped for, was good enough to start for a couple years. Bill Walsh saw a lot of good in him. I think even Jimbo was somewhat confident in Edwards for a while. One year TE posted a 85.4 passer rating. He was not a complete bust.

Walsh and kelly were wrong, who cares what they "saw" before TE proved what he really was...an absolute fraud. He learned that if he just kept dumping to our great RB's...he would have a chance and continue starting.

people talk about fitz' arm strength, edwards was all wrist with zero arm strenght, no anticipation and zero pocket presence, he simply counted to 3 and dumped it, nearly everytime, once in a while hed throw a gay looking sideline go route that evans would run underneath but that was something my mother could have done.

edwards fooled this team and its coaches for 3 years, if he was "ok" like you say, why is he not playing anymore? hes gonna be a third string qb...if he doesnt get cut in camp

  7. Evans is gone dude, accept it. Graham is now a Bill, and it does not hurt to root for the kid. It almost sounds as if you want the kid to fail. Am I wrong?

im not against graham, i hope hes awesome, my point is that it was said we "had" to cut evans because he was "too fast for chans system" and lost a step etc etc.

this boards for exchanging opinions, none of us are really making personel decisions...and I see last years cut as something dumb that cost us games when our WR's went down. We also could have saved this years third had we not cut evans. im really just pointing out how evans being cut was over money, nothing else. If not, we wouldnt be drafting a guy with his skill set

Oh and to those who mock evans stats last year, 4-74 in a playoff game...how is that any different from SJ's "revis ownage game" where SJ had 5-75 and also had a game losing drop? So for evans its a failure but for SJ its his claim to fame?

the good thing is we can all vote and see who was right at the end of the season, if I could i would put money on it...takers?

  8. so you all forgot he was injured last year when you repeat his stats? how good were FJ's stats second half of the season? is he done too? same age.

and who says he lost a step? do you know that or does it just make you feel better to think it?

Again, evans has way better hands than graham and more or at least equal speed. I am only pointing out we traded evans for a fourth which ended up costing our 3rd for a so so wr

  9. How did Evans 'supreme hands' look in the AFC Championsip game? Easley is at least as viable as any draft pick after the top 2 WR's this year.

what are you saying exactly? that one drop(actually a strip) means he has bad hands? He has several years of excellent catches of the 50 yards through-the-air type. Johnson by comparison had two "drops", you know, the kind where no ones around him and he just plain dropped em. Evans got hit in his facemask on the play and then the db swatted the ball straight down out of his hands. Drop or not at least there was a man there contesting the pass, who knocked the ball out of SJ's hands when we lost against the jets and steelers?

When people use the exception to prove the rule it proves nothing, except maybe that they are completely wrong. So do you dislike johnson too? since hes had twice as many game losing drops as evans and very very few game winners...like evans has.

so ya, evans hands look pretty good, if you have a memory that goes back farther than one season.

  10. Back in 2007, we "had to have" a "big tall WR, a red zone target"

So we drafted the most unnatural pass catcher ive seen in a bills uni, James Hardy. He looked like he never caught a football in his life and dropped many 50/50 balls besides being a stiff running routes.

Desean Jackson was also taken in that draft and look how the undersized speed guy has turned out. None of the other big tall WR's from that draft panned out. Sweed, thomas, kelly etc. Just saying its funny how when we had 3 small speed guys (Evans, Price, Parrish) we had to have the big guy. Now that we have 3 big guys (SJ, Easley, Nelson) we have to have the small speed guy....SO WHY THE F did we not resign evans then?

We took lofton with more miles on him when we needed a speed guy and I just know were gonna have a game where we go deep for the winning td and graham drops it, knowing evans would have made the catch.(cue baltimore drop here) I know evans wasnt the best underneath but we needed a deep guy that can catch, a specialist on the backside in 3 and 4 wr sets. I have an SUV and a sports car, I never complain that my sports car cant go offroad and that my SUV doesnt go very fast. Its nice to have both and not expect the same things from one as the other.

Instead this year with our third pick we take......a deep threat , speed guy, with the same measurables as Evans but with 0 experience and suspect hands. BTW I thought Gaileys offense didnt "need" a small fast WR??? I would have loved to have taken another LB or O lineman with our third.

We basically traded evans for graham( i know we got a fourth ) but this is his replacement so lets watch this year and see who has more production.

  11. i think the FO is higher on Donald Jones.

People kind of forget that Jones looked like a legit #2 before getting a couple of freak ankle injuries.

if being out of postion and having poor hands and making routine catches look like a chore= legit #2 then yes...donald duck looked legit.

The only legit #2 we have on the team is SJ.

Easley is the offenses version of yobouty, a guy drafted and then constantly hurt but teasing us every year that he'll be the guy.

we will see this year about easley....if not dont count on graham, hes a "one trick pony, deep threat guy" why did we draft him after everyone said evans was all of those things? except evans had supreme hands and this guys knock is he drops balls.

  12. Since there will probably be several trades at the top of the round, it is impossible to say what teams will take a OT. Bottom line...if the Bills want Martin or Glenn, trade up to the top of the round and get one!

worst advice possible, how bout if idiot teams trade up for tier 2 talent at tackle, we take the best wr there and keep our picks as is.

  13. What good is a WR if the QB can't throw accurately over 20 yds? So you have a 6'4 target 10 yards off the line of scrimmage, might as well draft a TE.

dumb, are you refering to trent edwards? who never attempted to throw over 20 yards, i think the 20 or so long tds by fitz in his time here have proven he somewhat decent at long balls.

  14. I will not have a problem if they go with Keuchly but I couldn't disagree more about what you said about Floyd. You stated that "You don't draft a WR at #10 to get 6 potential touches per game. So, I rule out Floyd." Add the numbers up 6 catches a game gets you 96 catches and a trip to the pro-bowl. If he catches 96 balls he probably would have at least 8 touchdowns and several game breaking plays that swing a game. If you told me that Floyd would catch 6 a game I would draft him in a second. When you say 6 potential touches I'm thinking 6 potential catches.

Here's my best scenario for draft day: We trade Spiller and another pick "prob a 3rd" and take someones late first round pick. We draft big Trent from Bama with pick #10 and with the late first round pick we take an offensive tackle. How awesome would that be? Spiller will never be maxed out here with Freddy being the better back and we'll get a bruising smash mouth runner to compliment Freddy, especially on short yardage plays and inside the 10 yard line. We also get better value for an offensive tackle instead of reaching for one at #10.
