  1. Do you really not get it?! Are you sad that we traded LeShaun Munch, too?
  2. Actually, I think it must be "Delbert McClinton". Who, by the way, is no worse than BJ Spencer as a raterner.
  3. To be honest, even though I can't pin down the exact reason why it's so funny, I keep coming back to this thread and it totally cracks me up.
  4. Who is a HOF coach? Shanahan at 5-6 after spending a boatload of money on the team? I don't get how some people won't aknowledge the fact that what you DO is more important than your NAME. And as for the team, no, where you stand isn't always who you are. Chan Gailey is doing a superb job developing a young team. I can't imagine anyone handling the set bof circumstances in Buffalo better than he is.
  5. Remind me to never take Freddie out of my FF lineup ever again...
  6. Only if Marshawn Lynch gets to run for governor. Ya know, character issues and all that...
  7. I guess you are seriously of the opinion that taxation and a public health system are socialist concepts. Here's just to get you started: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism Oh, they have articles on taxes and public health, too.
  8. You REALLY shouldn't talk about things you obviously have no clue about. I invite everyone who thinks that the US conduct socialist policies voer here to germany to tell that to some people who had to live in an actual socialist state.
  9. Will you guys give Pat Ryan a chance instead of already discussing the alternatives!?
  10. I just wonder whether anybodyat OBD has bothered to tell Fitz about this. He might just be preparing for the game on Sunday while the starting job has been given to an old foagie.
  11. Well, call me negative but, quite frankly, if we pick up a dude that age, can't we just get Jimbo back? "Patrick Lee Ryan (born September 16, 1955 in Hutchinson, Kansas) is a former professional American football quarterback who played 14 seasons in the National Football League for the New York Jets and the Philadelphia Eagles. He played college football at the University of Tennessee and was drafted in the eleventh round of the 1978 NFL Draft."
  12. "* Buffalo first-year coach Chan Gailey announced that Pat Ryan will replace Trent Edwards as starting quarterback when the Bills (0-2) play at New England Sunday." My link
  13. Now, I'm not predicting that Brown will be great. Maybe he won't ever become an NFL player. But what completely dazzles me is why people think they have enough knowledge about a player to write him off completely after having watched him for a net of ten minutes. Same goes for everybody who has decided that Brohm is useless after one game as a starter, by the way.
  14. Exactly. And the tear-down rebuild is without an alternative if you've got decrepit, rotting foundation. Bring on the wrecking crew! Lee Evans is 30 next year. By the time the rebuilding process yields any fruit he will no longer be an NFL starter.
  15. +1 I think Chan and Buddy really weren't aware of how void of talent this team really was. Now they know. I just hope they get to work now. By far Whitner's best move is trash talking to opposing players after he or one of his teammates couldn't stop them. He sure does that on a very consistent base.
  16. Real hard to say how good or bad Brown was. But if you look at what he did at Troy, it's obvious that he at least has the attitude that we're missing at QB.
  17. Spot on. If your expensive old player sucks, what on earth do have to lose? The worst thing that can happen is that the young kid sucks, too.
  18. Yeah, but also a guy who easily could have filled the No 3 RB-spot after a Lynch-trade.
  19. It's all about realizing that this team is going nowhere. I'm not an advocate of purposely bottoming out. BUT I am a fan of giving people shot that aren't responsible for the mess we're in. Trade Lynch, Whitner? Sure. Evans? Hell yeah! What have we got to lose? Do it now, as long he's got some trade value. Stockpile draft picks. We need them. You can't effectively clean house without sweeping the floor.
  20. Yup. And he made it look even easier than probably was. The kid will be good. On another note, I'm not quite that sure about Levi Brown who might become a Steeler this week. BUT, since the Bills are apparently in full rebuilding mode, I sure would rather be tossing these guys in the game than watch a bunch of proven underachievers take us nowhere.
  21. Joique Bell will be a very good RB in the NFL. Not for the Bills, unfortunately. We prefer sticking with people who don't really want to be here.
  22. Apart from some of the strange things retired sports stars start to think and do... Mr Paladino and his like are are the reason for America and Americans being ridiculed as ignorant and uneducated around the world. And, um, well, as long as they elect ignorants - rightfully so.
  23. Well, it may be an indicator of the fact that a qualified eye for talent (and character?) is worth as much as college stats and combine numbers.
  24. We'd probably have trouble offloading any of our QBs to another team RIGHT NOW. But who knows what things will look like, say, halfway through the season. Also, don't forget that there's a few teams that have young "franchise" quarterbacks that could be headed up or down. I'm not totally convinced that Mark Sanchez and Chad Henne and Alex Smith and Kevin Kolb are better QBs than Trent Edwards. They may be...
