Everyone calls him Buffalo Phil.....grew up and lived in Buffalo nearly his entire life,life-long Bills' fan. He was the player/manager on our beer league softball team and we talked a bit of football during the season. I found out he has no Sunday Ticket so I thought I would invite him over to watch this critical match-up in the AFC East..... He volunteered to bring the wings..... I do have a question though.....can I get a suggestion as to what should be on the menu for pre-game and gametime appetizers ? I want him to feel at home, you know?

I think Saban game planned to stop the run.....stop McGahee, make the Bills' offense one-dimensional. Whether Holcomb being the starter changes that philosophy.....I don't think so. Either QB's production is directly related to the ability of the defense to STOP the run. I would hope the Fins' coaching staff spent the bye week studying the Bills' formations and tendencies rather than focusing on what the number was on the QB's jersey. Now.....if that QB was Mike Vick and was replaced by Matt Schaub, than the coaching staff prolly wasted some time game-planning for the Michael Vick experience. Such as designating a "spy" safety or linebacker....

Do the Bills have the edge in the category of "big three" offensive weapons: McGahee, Evans, and Holcomb OVER Brown,Chambers, and Frerrote? And what about the offensive line? Surely the Bills personnel in this department must be better than the Fins? And the defenses....puhlease, the Fins have the OLDEST defense in the league based on the average age of the starters! I'm just hoping the Fins can somehow keep it close and pull a victory out in the last minute.... And a rookie head coach against a man who has been in the NFL trenches for years....

With the way the offense has performed.....he should have the MOST carries in the league.

and Wanny is a fool. But, atleast even he knew enough to give the damn ball to Ricky 30 times a game.... maybe my math equation will somehow come true and MM will wise up enough to "run the damn ball" with Willis....

99 lbs.....that's how much she charges. How much is that in "mighty dollars?" Hey....back on topic. I do somewhat agree about the third quarter thingy. I put alot of what's going to happen in the second half on the first drives and defensive series that start the 3rd quarter..... But....IMO alot of coaches try and keep the game close.....wear out their opponents during the game and win the game in the 4th quarter. Of course, this theory works a little better when you play in 100% humidity and it's 95 degrees with the on-field temperature around 109. AND....your team is playing the Denver Broncos.

Friendly neighborhood Fin fan bumpety bump..... I honestly didn't think this would be true before the season started....but, the Dolphins have the edge in QB's going into this game. It's hard to even say it.....but, at this point in their careers, Gus is better than J.P.... One other advantage the Fins have not enjoyed in quite a few years....it seems the Fins rookie head coach may have a few more functioning brain cells than his counterpart....

A hold-out for a BIG signing bonus and missing much of training camp added to his less than stellar; rather inauspicious start to his much anticipated Hall of Fame career has many Fin fans calling for Sammy Morris to get the bulk of the carries. I'm gonna give the rook a little more time to adjust to the pro game....it doesn't help Ronnie at all that his ex-Auburn teammate (ol' what's his name) looked like an Earl Campbell and Eric Dickerson clone job his 1st 2 weeks. It sounds like excuses....but even with one of the finest offensive line coaches (Houck) in football....it's tough to make chicken salad out of chicken sh--. btw.....I've watched the better part of both Bills games this year. Without getting too much into it, here's my take. Bucs are good....Texans suck.

Almost forgot.... 2003.....Fred played in all 16 games and ran for over 1500 yards at a 4.6 ypc. To say he's been going downhill the last 2 years is a bit of a reach....

I was under the impression that Fred taylor was still playing at a very high level....during the last 2 years..... Last year he rushed at a 4.7/ypc clip....not too shabby. He did miss 2 games, but as for durability when he was able to get on the field, he did hold up well. His ypc average during carries 11-20 shot up to 5.4 ypc.... btw.....HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!

I'm still holding out hope that the Fins will get Indy's 1st rounder (29th?)....
