  1. if the buffalo bills, echoed by many to go winless this season, are so bad and the dolphins are supposedly superbowl contenders (to some) then why is it that the bills are only getting three points in the betting line? are sportswriters smarter than sportsbook linemakers? is it because like many so many sportswriters repeat, they have a below average offensive line, trouble at the qb position, a new head coach, a new defensive system, no second wr, the weather sucks, bills fans will suckerpunch you for wearing a sanchez jersey? what would the prognosticators be saying if Mike shanahan or bill cowher were leading the team on sept 12? would they then be the sleeper in the afc? i would like any sportswriter to approach eric wood and tell him the bills have a below average offensive line. it wont happen. to say that dick jauron coahched close to the vest would be an understatement, he coached under a hat. he was inept at clock management, terrible at when to use the replay, scared looking on the field, and otherwise unable to close out a game. the jury is out on gailey, but the team seems more ready to take the field then any of the past four walkthrough camp seasons. gailey is looking to redeem himself as an NFL HC, he has alot to prove and i believe a pretty good team to start out with.
  2. my whole point is that people who write articles on sports on their espn2 website (is that better whiners?) are not only bashing the bills for so many reasons, now they are bashing the fans in hypothetical fictional scenarios. sorry if i called someone who makes a living by writing sports articles an expert, totally my bad. its funny how you all pick on something completely unrelated to the subject of the post and bash the sheet out of it.... 10-6 suck on that
  3. gee whiz, sorry if i dont stay here on two bills drive and geek out all day everyday..... and actually a friend who works on a cruise line sent me an email that had just read it. (merely copied and pasted the whole email he sent me) and what disturbs me is not what he said about the bills, they all say that crap, i was stating that i dont like to be called a felonious jerk because my team didnt do well again this year, saying you or i would purposefully suckerpunch a jets fan because of his jersey choice. please dont comment until you have read the OP. and if my posts disturb you so much, dont read them. also never called him a football expert, just an "expert" with his own espn website, so if i called him a "sportswriter" would you STFU?
  4. all of the qbs on buffalos roster are better this year, which is the point i was making, however being in denver and seeing tebow alot, he wont be better than brian brohm is right now. i never called him an expert on qbs, as you tried to say that for me, i called him an "expert".....if your page on espn is called the sports guy, you can be considered an expert, IMO http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index'>http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index what he says about our qb situation means nothing to me, however he insinuates that bills fans are felons because of bitterness due to lack of good football, that is not something you write since "sarcasm" does not translate to print. and finally i will refrain from putting you and one of the holes needing to be addressed on the team in the joke i had for all of us. im sure you know what i meant to say (you always do!) http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/simmons/index thats "expert" status, sorry.
  5. but its ok for him to misrepresent you and i though Okaaay.
  6. You gotta read this excerpt from a recent Bill Simmons article on ESPN. (Quick Tebow tangent: After watching football for 35 years, I now believe the QB Success Pie Chart is something like 65 percent confidence/leadership/poise/coolness/intelligence, 20 percent accuracy/arm strength, 5 percent athletic ability and 10 percent toughness/balls/heart. That means Tebow is already 80 percent home. Throw in his marquee value and I believe Jacksonville fans and Buffalo fans will be very bitter by December. Of course, at least one Buffalo fan just read that and said: "Wait a second, I'm bitter every December. Are you saying I'm going to be more bitter than usual? Last December I sucker-punched a Jets fan outside Ralph Wilson Stadium just because he seemed a little too proud of his Sanchez jersey, then I ripped off the jersey and repeatedly drove over it with my snowplow as 150 Buffalo fans cheered me on. I'm going to be more bitter than that?" Yes.) for an "expert" to think that tim tebow will be better than any of the qbs on buffalos current roster, is a joke....and i believe we beat the jets, and most of us know sanchez sucks (again no better than our qb situation, probably replaced by brunnell by mid season) i was bitter for a while, when the front office extended jaurons contract after three consecutive seasons of losing, but disappointed would surely be a better word for the teams success. finally, bills fans dont sucker punch, we square up and say "hey arsehole, nice jersey....how bout them jersey jets?....then we would punch. at least thats how i would do it, but bill simmons, i might sucker punch you.
  7. it wouldnt be surprising if josh mcdaniels makes a run at him here in denver, they need backs badly.
  8. jason peters, pat williams, fred jackson, jabari greer, demetrius bell, jim leonard, are all pretty good and undrafted
  9. that is sooo unimpressive shoebel belongs in a box or on a belt, he is a tool.
  10. david nelson and roscoe in the slot....... scary, scary stuff un-coverable
  11. they all smoke blunts, i bet even trent edwards does. marijuana is great pain medicine, believe it or not. i know because i have a prescription for it in Colorado.
  12. funny thing is that i posted a very similar post to this yesterday and its been buried by "whos gonna get cut?" threads.
  13. hmm, i always wondered who bought this years jersey.
  14. to me it seems that their opinions are formed around dick jaurons bills, and i would agree maybe four wins for a wussy team like the one he fielded, this team however, a Chan Gailey led team has more passion, more strength and endurance, a more diverse offense with some new talent, a better defensive scheme that may take some time to fully develop, but they couldnt get much worse there. With a little guidance and leadership towards a young qb (rather than throw him to the no huddle wolves without a plan) this team has a real chance to make it just as far as the jets did last season. Although i am no giant trent supporter, he is entering his fourth season and has shown a knack of making plays for most of his career, although sporadic. alot of his wavering confidence came from the lack of confidence the HC had last four yrs in buffalo. Jauron was a stoic figure who never seemed to be discussing anything with anyone on the sideline. How can a team succeed with a coach whose gameface is that of a sea turtle
  15. After reading the espn crews assesment of the afc east i began to laugh when they unanimously picked the bills to finish dead last again this season with an average record of 3-13. it too made me laugh when these same "experts" pick the jets to win 11 or 12 games and dominate the division, which will be contested by the pats and the dolphins but to no avail, since the jets are so dominant(sic). the whole espn crew believes that Chan Gailey will win the same amount of games as both Jauron and Fewell achieved last season in just half of the games gailey will be coaching. LOL the loss of Kaczur and Mankins for the pats is going to be huge, and the fact that their secondary, no matter how talented consists of all rookies and second year players. the fate of the pats is how long they keep tom brady alive. pats will go 8-8 if he survives, 2-14 if hes hurt. on a similar note the jets lost alan faneca, a player who they will certainly miss, no depth behind a drop prone braylon edwards, and a second year qb who will be calling plays a year removed from a 20 interception season. thanks to head coach ryan the jets now wear a gigantic bullseye on their chests, and they will no longer be able to sneak up on anyone as they did last year. jets will go 9-7 again thanks to good luck. (again) the dolphins are hearing calls for the return of chad pennington, which can only mean one thing, dolphins are in trouble. the addition of brandon marshall looks like a train wreck in the making...a hometown kid coming home to play ball in front of his peeps probably will make him feel comfortable at first, but when things start going astray, as they always do with marshall, sheet will hit fan. phins 7-9
  16. he looks like a rookie making a position change. has good speed and size, needs to pick up his jock strap though cos its sitting on ford field.
  17. levi made a beautiful pass out of the bunch left formation, which is just cool to say, trips bunch left formation...sweet
  18. eric wood > jason peters... by dumping the man the bills wasted three years developing, they received a sixth and a fourth rounder and an immediate starter who was better as a rookie than peters was as a sixth year vet, and a young rock to build the foundation of a very solid offensive line. thanks, you prima donna oversized brown marsmallow
  19. a running back with sub 4.4 speed, vision, and unbelievable change of direction skills is much more valuable than any offensive lineman will ever be, and the qbs in this draft (save bradford) were no better than any of the qbs currently on the roster, imo. many have said that adding a great running back makes the line better, that is true....adding chan gailey makes the line better also.
  20. there used to be five teams in each division. Remember when the colts were in the east too? (til 2002)
  21. 2009 jauron 3-5 fewell 3-5 lets see, jauron and fewell had the same players (minus 15 for fewell on IR), same assistants, same fans, same stadium, not the same weather, and they had the same record. that tells us that jauron was just as good as an untested head coach with absolutely no head coaching experience. what a terrible head coach he was. oh so terribly horribly bad. the "experts" are fooled into thinking that Chan Gailey will win only the same amount of games as interim HC Fewell did in a half of last season. LOL
