  1. All these rumors but no one in any media has picked up on an ownership change. Gailey getting fired, yes. But a change of ownership? Seems far fetched. You would think King, Shefter, Mort, etc... would have sniffed that out.

Thanks soo much for bringing this conversation somewhere back to earth. For X-mas sakes, Sounds like there will definitely be some coaching changes. Was printed in the B-news today. Now Peter King saying the same thing, Now all the freak-tards are turning this into an ownership change overnight.

That ain't happening tomorrow or this week. Perhaps JK joins the front office, but RW is smart enough NOT to sell the team this week. (Buy low, sell high). No way/reason to sell the team at an incredible low point. Hire a good coach/GM, have the lease deal in place, perhaps have JK in the front office, then perhaps sell when there is the slightest bit of excitement surrounding the team. Please stop F5-ing this thread and get a grip!

    Go Bills!

  2.

    2. A ton of teams are banged up. The Steelers are decimated. The Ravens lost their top 5 tacklers. It's the NFL and people get injured. We actually were probably one of the heathlier teams this year. Makes it even more depressing.

THIS ^^^^ All teams have injuries. We just have a tendency to suck.

  3. No, it's more money in Ralph's pocket. The canadians support the bills but our poor record short changes them.It helps keep the team in Buffalo

Yeah. Love Eric Wood. But I understand the reasoning. But guess what, the biggest thing is we need a better team/coach/owner.

Teams play in Europe. And teams like the Pats win in Europe. Winning cures EVERYTHING. You win fans like you fans travel etc etc.

By the way, winning is a habit. And so is losing!!

  4. Here it is. An alphabetical list of every retread HC, perceived HC commodity, "I've heard of him", or on someone's 'wish list' coaches for Ralph to consider to be his next Kevlar vest. For sure, the Bills next HC is on this list. If not, please feel free to add yours.

I like Adam Sandler. He can do the Hanukkah song too boot!!

  5. Allen was an artist down there. He alway picked the right hole and approach (high leap, submarine, bounce outside, cut inside).

Csonka was the premier power only back in my lifetime. I never saw Bronko Nagurski play (thank god I'm not that old) but I imagine Csonka must have been similar in his ability to carry tacklers while simultaneously running other tacklers over.

For those that remember Mike Alstott, Alstott couldn't hold a candle to Csonka.

I would add that my recollection is that John Riggins was a great goal line back.

I would say John Riggins. He was a BEAST at the goal line.

Hated that guy....but the kind of back you'd love to hate.

Take him over Marcus Allen any Sunday.

(and that is no diss to Marcus. Riggins was that good!)

  6. Great Thread!

    I'm so tired, I haven't slept a wink

I'm so tired, my mind is on the blink

I wonder should I get up and fix myself a drink

    No,no,no.

I'm so tired I don't know what to do

I'm so tired my mind is set on you

I wonder should I call you but I know what you would do

You'd say I'm putting you on

But it's no joke, it's doing me harm

You know I can't sleep, I can't stop my brain

You know it's three weeks, I'm going insane

You know I'd give you everything I've got

for a little peace of mind

I'm so tired, I'm feeling so upset

Although I'm so tired I'll have another cigarette

    And curse Sir Walter Raleigh

He was such a stupid git.

You'd say I'm putting you on

  7. Buddy frustrates me. I took a lot of logic and philosophy classes in college.

IF we are better, and we have the same or worse record, THEN (to me) by definition it is the coaching that is the problem.

IF we are not better talent wise, THEN by definition it is the GM that is the problem.

Which is it Buddy???? Let's have some accountability!!

    Your killing me! :wallbash:

(OK, I feel a little better now).

  8. Oh man, I disagree strongly... Fred in my opinion one of the best RB's in the NFL in pass pro. CJ on the other hand, makes mistakes and when he does pick up the correct guy he is often time overpowered and gets pushed back really easily.

Exactly... we all know it's not fatigue, but Chan isn't going to throw his best offensive weapon under the bus either

Yes. Good OP and this ^^^^

Fred Excels and CJ, not soo much.

But the idea of an extra OL or TE and a few power runs wouldn't make us worse!

  9. News flash: WE are not playing anything. For the PLAYERS and COACHES, this is true. But we're fans, and we're entitled to enjoy an entertaining season even if we don't win a championship. That's why 60,000+ show up for a nearly-meaningless December game in the cold and rain.

Personally, I enjoyed the 4 Super Bowl seasons tremendously (except the Super Bowls themselves) and in my view it was the Golden Age of Bills fandom (and I go back to 1965 with them).

And I'd like to enjoy a competitive 10 or 11 win season. It gives us hope of future championships, but as we all know, hope is not a necessary element of Bills fandom.

Seriously? We are entitled to enjoy an entertaining season. I would agree with that. When was the last time Ralph provided one of those??

  10. This board is (mostly) Friggin Delusional.. You play for one reason and that is to Win a Championship. If you had some crazy notion that we are last years NY Giants. Whatever, get over it. We are not. Damn, I hate the Jests and their fans but at least they don't sit around thinking they have a chance to win anything this year. We suck. We have sucked for a while. Good teams win a game or two against good teams. Oh, we do to. Once a season.

I am not being negative and will forever be a fan, but the one thing that has helped me this decade plus is realism. Hey I'm even optimistic. Was WAY optimistic when the season started. But to even think about playoffs or utter the word after week 7 was/is mindless. We are who we are. Let's not pretend the AFC is weak and we just have to get in the playoffs. Back in the early 90's that was the case b/c we had a good team with good coaching.

    C'mon now.

  11. Could it be that Buddy and Chan knew there'd be some rough spots but did not want a QB controversy and potentially divisive locker room?

Buddy: "Ralph, we just need 100 million for Mario and 50 Million for Fitz."

Ralph: "50 Friggin MILLION for FITZ??"

Buddy: "Yes, we realize he's not THAT great, but it will show everyone in the locker room there is no QB controversy and then we can get a real QB next year!"

Ralph: "Genious, here's my checkbook, all those zero's don't really mean anything do they??"

Buddy: "Just sign at the bottom Ralph."

    Yeah. That's probably what happened.

    :flirt:
