  1. Ridiculousness. Is this supposed to sum things up? Atlanta, who had the SB all but won is 27th and threw the ball a total of 3.8 times more per game. Or less than one pass per quarter. Do we want to be Baltimore or Jax or NO or Philly or Wash?

Lets try not summing things up with a simple statistic.

Let's win the offseason first. ☺️

  2. these are only 11% of their seats. My current seats are probably in the bottom 11%

Buffalo cant sustain PSLs and high ticket prices. At least for "common" seats. Im sure its well known in the sports business community nationally and locally.

Their best bet is to strike hot like the Sabres. A few good seasons. Prime a season ticket holder cap with a waiting list. Keep the perceived demand and inch up the ticket prices.

Re-read the article. It's not 11%. Several %'s are mentioned.....but the last paragraph states......

"....The plan covers roughly 11 percent of the seats in the 71,000-seat stadium. Seat licenses also will be required for all other seats sold as season tickets, but those prices won’t be determined until later in the year. They are expected to be set at various price points below $10,000."

ALL SEASON TIX. HATE THE IDEA MYSELF. Where do peeps get the money for this??

  3.

"The girlfriend of former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez has been indicted on a perjury charge in connection with the killing of his friend, a Massachusetts prosecutor said Friday, bringing to five the number of people facing charges in the case...."

OK. I may be a little picky here, but does it bug anyone else that virtually every article and newscast from the beginning (including the quote above) say Hernandez killed his FRIEND??

#1) From everything I have read, it doesn't sound like they were ever friends. 2) Can't we at least cease calling them 'friends' now that one has murdered the other. GEESH!.

Maybe it's just me but it sounds freakn' re-DONCulous every time I read: He killed his friend!! Who Kills their friend?!?!!?!!

  4. C'mon. seriously now. I get that football is a business and I am 98% of the time on the player's side, but let's be real. If he would have signed a 100 million contract, do you think he would be coming down with PF? He IS getting paid every bit of his contract even if he does NOT play. That is in the new CBA for Franchise Players. How PO'd would the FO and all of us be if he signed a huge contract and then claimed he's had PF for-ever?? C'mon now. It's a business.

Looks who his agent is. His agent is an expert at working the system. The Bills.... and us are being worked. Pretty simple. The Bills played their hand and now Tyrd is playing his, Let's not kid ourselves.

    Go Bills!

  5. Agreed on the NFL rewind. But let's look at the other side as well:

Pat's 2 TD drives: 16 yards and 32 yards (The rest were FG's)

Bills 2 TD drives: 37 yards and 80 yards.

    Pats offense was not stellar.

By the way, the one thing we know about Bellicheat is that he will most likely stop your #1 weapon. His game plan on D was to stop Spiller. He did that.

Too bad we did not compensate. Overall, sucks to lose again, but not a bad start to the Marrone era. (Just my .02)

    Go Bills!

  6. Fitz looked pretty good last night against the Bungles, granted it was against the twos and threes but he hit some nice throws and showed solid decision making throwing the ball away while being dragged down. His biggest problem in Buffalo was he just didn't have the arm strength for the conditions at the Ralph, few do. The conditions there truly separate the men from the boys. If you don't have a legitimate deep ball and coaching staff unwilling to or unable to establish the ground game your chances are greatly diminished. There are many starting Qb's in the league whose numbers would be very different if they played 8 at the Ralph mixed with regular trips to Foxboro and other northeastern stadiums as Bills signal callers face. Look at the game a couple of years back when the "great" Tommy boy didn't even attempt a pass in the two quarters they moved away from the tunnel. In no way do I think Fitz is a great Qb but there were many factors in his demise. Maybin on the other hand is a true poser.

EXCELLENT Point. Strong Arm is needed. To your point. Not sure if anyone saw NFL Networks special on the 83 draft class. While it was specifically focused on Elway and Marino, they interviewed Jim Kelly who promptly said he DID NOT want to be drafted by Buffalo. After mentioning, where would anyone want to live Houston or Buffalo, he then said the thought of playing in Houston in a dome without the wind and rain definitely was a positive. And he obviously had a Strong arm. Again, great point.

  7. Well.....What do you think his teammates will think of this........from today.....

"Eagles LT Jason Peters (Achilles) says he's been 100 percent since January. The outlook on Peters is rosy. Doctors have told him that his twice-ruptured Achilles' tendon will be at 98 percent strength and he's been fully cleared for the offseason program. Before going down, Peters was the best left tackle in the game. ........" Apr 2 - 12:26 PM

"Before going down, Peters was the best left tackle in the game."

    HAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHAHA

  8. I would agree with the ranking which is why the following is true.

    1) We have a small salary cap problem as we have heard on this sight...tells me our Front Office is bad. since we are drafting poorly and paying too much for many players. (see mario as #1). Can anyone tell me who we are overpaying...to be in that trouble..it must be everyone...and the only reason I can think of is we are bad managers and no one wants to play for the Bills without being overpaid, which leads back to the bad FO.

    2) The biggest strength we had was the Oline and we allowed that to be hurt and become week with the loss of Levitre and Rinehart. We draft Levitre, he plays well and almost every game for 4 years...and we allow ourselves to create another hole because we over pay for Mario, Fitz, (I know he is gone now).

    Anyone disagree

No, pretty spot on. I think most were pretty shocked by the Fitz and going back a few years the Kelsay contract. (among others).

Wait...,my script says that our roster has gotten much better over the past 3 years and they have performed poorly due to poor coaching and "schemes".

    Ha HA Ha

  9. Derek,

I am with you. I am excited about the new coaching staff (somewhat), but I feel a little like I do about the Sabres right now. Simply not enough talent to compete. Take a look at the Chicago Blackhawks (and other contenders) and simply compare the roster. There is no way the Sabres compete. They are not similar talent wise. And the Bills, while the D has some talent, it's still has a few holes. And the offense, damn, right now my Aerosmith T-shirt from 86 has less holes.

The draft will fill some needs....we'll add a free agent or 2 and the base will be excited....(And I am not Debbe Downer).

But who is further away from a Championship right now...the Bills or Sabres????

Damn....that's a question I don't even want to think about!!

    Go Bills.

  10. "The Browns are expected to be among the most active teams in free agency, and have expressed interest in signing Ellerbe, as well as other Ravens free agents OLB Paul Kruger and CB Cary Williams. Ellerbe would be an ideal fit in Ray Horton's 3-4 defense. He's believed to be seeking $6 million annually"

"ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi believes the Browns are "resigned" to putting Brandon Weeden on a one-year trial with the new coaching regime.

This coincides with what the Cleveland Plain Dealer speculated earlier this week. The Browns have vowed to bring in competition for Weeden, but they will struggle to find an upgrade in the draft or free agency. Derek Anderson, Ryan Mallett, Matt Flynn, and Matt Cassel have all been linked as possible targets."

Not sure if this was previously posted...

FOX Sports confirms the Dolphins are the "lead dog" in the Mike Wallace sweepstakes, and that Wallace "prefers warm weather." :wallbash:

Per reporter Alex Marvez, Wallace is expected to draw "multiple offers" worth between $11-$12 million per season. It's clear the Dolphins are primed to be Wallace's most aggressive suitor, but we wouldn't put much stock in his supposed weather preference. Who truly "prefers" cold weather? It would be stunning if Wallace left even a little money on the table because Miami is a better place to take an evening stroll in the winter. Miami's temperate climate should only be a factor if Wallace is weighing equal offers.
