  1. Not sure why your laughing, your right we are leading at pass rush and you want to stay that way if you want to win, you better get some depth at that position because after you get past the starting 4 and hughes we got nothing. What kills anyteam is no depth at key positions or have you forgot the start of the seand with no great corners, mind you they did ok but we did not win enough games without Byrd, leodis, gilmore you could have argued we dont need and corners in August, you would have wrong. same thing with pass rushing.
  2. Well it would be, maybe you need a little longer but I think you get the point
  3. Looking back over the years at the superbowl winners there is really not much that impressed me. The parity in the league is overwhelming that any team could win, any year. I think the Bills are closer than everyone thinks but they got to make the right moves in the off season. A couple of quick moves and I think the Bills are in the Superbowl discussions. 1) Sign Byrd and make him the highest paid safety. 2) Trade Stevie Johnson (hopefully for a second or third) 3) Draft the best biggest reciever available with the first pick ( get a real #1 reciever) 4) Draft a LG with your second pick 5) sign another big tightend in free agency (the best available) 6) use the second you get for Stevie and take the best pash rusher available 7) Draft a new running back in the third ( freds getting old we need another brusher) 8) remaining draft picks load up on Linemen and corners never have enough of either of those spots. 9) EJ is getting better and will grow more into the position I think those moves make us a serious superbowl contender next year or two. IMHO.
  4. And now they asked Kiper the same question... he said EJ is in a better situation long-term because he was hand-picked by the coach and GM in Bflo as 1 st rd pick, however he tempered that by throwing in that Geno had the better grade going into the draft. He had to throw that in. Kiper is a bone head. born a bone head and he'll die a bone head!
  5. I have been saying this for months. If Barkley is there at 8 Bills take him, but I think he will be gone. He is the only true starter at qb in the draft, I also think that if he is gone Bills dont draft at qb at all this draft and the take best corner or best lb, Marrone will not hang his coaching start on any other qb in this draft.
  6. there is no way they will draft a WR ith the first pick. This draft is about setting up the future, they are going to draft a corner or a safety first with an outside chance a the top LB on the board. They will go after a WR in free agency, they dont produce for three years on average so pay a little more and sign one thats over the hump. This draft will be defense heavy no qb's for Buffalo this year unless someone like Barkley slips into the 2nd round. Barkely is the the only QB worth taking a chance on here the rest of this QB class sucks and I dont think Marrone is going to put his football future on Nassibs shoulders. I think we all expect Buffalo to suck this year so with a draft that is particularly loaded with defensive talent grab as much of it as you can, next years QB class looks good and defense wins championships. We just let go of LB's and Corner and a safety my guess is because they want them replaced, resigning Tavaris tells me there is no move a QB, that is unless Barkley slips to the second which I doubt will happen.
  7. I am for Barkley or no QB, he is the only one worth any kind of risk, otherwise draft the best reciever available and go get Alex Smith!
  8. We have two backs! and backs are easier to come by. Anyone who thinks they are a back away from making a serious run for the playoffs. Had we of traded Fred in October, we may even of got a second, I think a third for Fred is a posibility. I did not say Geno was a run first guy, I just dont want to trade up for him or pick him at all, dont think he is that good!
  9. I am hearing, some rumblings around the net that he is coming out. I sure hope he does. No at all, QB's that run around in the pocket, they are best mobil qbs over the last twenty years, I will also say Fran Tarkenten never won either. Pretty low for you to make that assumption, all those guys are run first QB's and thay style does not win super bowls, Black, White, Brown < pink colour makes np diference!
  10. Since we have finally addressed who our DC is, I have a strong suspicion that David Amerson will be our first pick. He is big, fast, strong and a ball hawk and we know how much the Jets love the DB's. I think Buffalo picks the future QB in the second round since there is no clear #1 here. I think they seriously consider Arron Murray, and thruth be told, I think he is the best one available and ready to play in the NFL, he is a big, strong, big arm, smart qb and most important he is a pocket qb and pocket qb's win. The Mike Vic's, RG3's and the Cam Newtons have short careers, and I have not seen many win the superbowl, just look at the past twenty years how many of those style qb's have won the big one, I dont think any, please no Gino Smith trade ups or even if he falls to us. we trade freddy for a third and grab a couple of LB's and we address WR and more LB in free agency, in the meantime we try to make a trade for Alex Smith, if we can't get Smith, we keep Fitz, there is worse things than keeping Fitz. I think we also add another QB in the fourth, a big arm project guy. It will allow the OL to get together under the new OC for there or four games and Fitz can take the hits until they get in a grove and give Arron heavy reps in practice. Our schedule looks like it is going to be week next year and hopefully Fitz can get us to 2 - 2 and then let Arron take over. Our O-LIne is good and can protect the kid. Just remember one thing, none of this happens if we do not get a corner that can start right away like Gilmore did. That allows the d-fence to get creative, with no one to throw the ball to down feild, that adds up to lots of mistakes by the other teams offence. IMO!!
  11. Arrogant or not if they could find away to sign up Chip, I would be thrilled, and it would be a real sign of the new front door Russ talked about. Leave all the other has beens, dead beats and fired donkeys alone. I said it before and I will say it again, "Beaten paths are for Beaten Men"
  12. For the love of God, stop talking to coaches that have failed miserably!!! Please dont talk to guys that got chased out of thier own towns. This team for the first time is in a position for a good coach, lots of buried treasures here, not to mention a city that is going to crown any coach who can get it together, KING!! please talk to Chip Kelly and Bruce Arians first. NO lovie, No Wissy, No Grimm
  13. It's really simple, the guy is offensive minded, he is creative, he wins at high levels, his guys love him, NFL coaches ask him for advice. Look at what we have, a huge investment in our defensive front four which leads me to believe the coach has to stay with a 4/3, we have a running back everyone dreams of, a promising #1 receiver a good young o - line, a good TE. He gets to pick his QB, let him add a receiver through free agency and a bunch of Line backers and corners and safeties in the draft We finally have all the components for a young qb to succeed a true receiver a good line and amazing RB. This is a spread offense minded coachs dream team. This guy can put it together, he is the best coach without NFL experience available, dont harp on the experience thing because winners don't need it, they win and from all I read and seen and heard about him he is a winner.
  14. any guy Belichick calls in for guidence on where the offensive game is going needs to be talked too! Guy is a class act and a gifted coach, we give all thes has beens a second chance, why not go after an elite college coach
  15. OK, its been awhile since I last posted but I think its time for one simple request. This request is made with the beleif that Gruden is not going to come to Buffalo, he would be my big wish! Instead of another has been or a someone elses cast off, I think we make a hard push for Chip Kelly!!!!!!! He is young, Hungry and an innovater! lets go get him boys, before they others do, If that fails go after Bruce Arians!! not a bad consalation prize.
  16. is Thursday nights game on TV or blacked out?
  17. Yup, look at all the free agent deals there freaking great that buffalo has signed.Your right it takes time to build through the draft but if we had started when everyone thought Marv and his ivy league men were going to turn this thing around we would be just fine now. the sooner we start to do things right the sooner we start making the playoffs. In closing you can sign all the free agents you want, spikes, fletcher, owens whoever, without a qb and at shot at a superbowl noone wants to stick around, argue as much as you want it will not change that.
  18. Your crazy! You still don't know what he is doing, whats the expectation go out and sign every free agent. The last two drafts I believe were our best in a long time, this a young team now and the qaulity of the players is getting better. Our real problem is we still don't have a franchise qb and no big names are signing in buffalo unless they are way overpaid or we can make a real run for the playoffs. I think with this roster we pick in the top 5 next year, we all know about luck but also another guy named blakley thats going to be a good one. thats when it starts they they draft lb and go out and get the best right tackle they can and free agents will come and you will not pay top dollar you may not even need them. look at detroit, they are in a spot to be agood team for a while mind you not the patriots but will bet a tough team to play against this year and a few years ago they were what we are today. No big free agents just good drafting.
  19. Wednesday, April 27 - Wes Bunting, National Football Post Special notes: Three-round mock draft #3 LB Von Miller, # 34 QB Colin Kaepernick, #68 OL Marcus Gilbert
  20. If the gabbert, trent comparisons are out to lunch take a look at how many td's he threw last year and is faviorite spot to through is 6 - 8 yards with no td's means he is just like Trent. Check down Gabbert!
