  1. Power rankings are all opinion based content. Regardless, it's not that far off. Eagles have lost two straight games, and one of them was by double digits against a team they ABSOLUTELY should have beaten. Kansas City has struggled to beat a VERY bad team in 3 of their last 4 games. 49ers struggled to beat another very bad team playing a QB they literally snagged from the streets. They were already ahead of Cincy in his power rankings, so it makes sense.
  2. No. Cincy can win the 2 seed based off the 5th tiebreaker. Buffalo needs to play the game to avoid dropping to a potential 3 spot. Also, Damar's father said he wouldn't want that. So go play for Damar.
  3. Is it really, though? Force the Bills to play two games, one being likely vs KC. Or, take homefield and allow the Bills to spend 2 weeks game plan the Bengals and you now have to win 3 games to go to the SB.
  4. If the Bills and Bengals played out and Buffalo won the game, Baltimore could have won the AFC North with a win over Cincy. I don't think Cincy should be in this equation for HFA. They need so many different components. They need to win and two specific teams to lose. For the Bills, they just needed to win their games.
  5. Like what was said earlier, this damages the NFL's money making venturs for Super Bowl Sunday. You guys might not like it, but the NFL is here to make money. The SB means way more than some regular season game. The game on Monday does nothing to decide the outcome of the eventual Super Bowl winners.
  6. But why give Cincy the W? What did they do to win the game? The Bills didn't forfeit. During the 5 minute warm up period, the Bengals went to the Bills sideline and they both agreed to mutually leave the field. If Zac Taylor doesn't go across the field, we could have very well watched a game that night. Just call it a no contest. They literally didn't compete. They played for 7 minutes, which is under 12% of the game. Or, just act as if the game never happened. It's not that big of a deal. Cincy just simply clinches the division, which is unfortunate for the Ravens, but I'm going to be real, they wouldn't beat Cincy without Jackson anyways. Cincy still has the opportunity for the 2 seed. Buffalo still has the opportunity for the 1 seed barring a KC loss.
  7. What are they going to do, though? If they have a standalone game, the Bills and Bengals are at a disadvantage. If the Chiefs get the bye, they are now afforded TWO weeks off. The 6 and 7 seeds get a bye week because of the standalone game while they watch the Bills/Bengals slug it out. How is that fair that the 2 or 3 seed has to play the 6 or 7 seed while they are fully rested?
  8. Of course you personally don't care. I personally don't care either, but the NFL does. The NFL is about making money. If they lose $30M in revenue due to the fact they aren't giving sponsors time to host their big events, then they lose money. Calling some regular season MNF game a wash is financially more valueable to them than to cancel any type of Super Bowl event.
  9. Cincy does get a chance to move up. They can move to the 2 seed. The Bengals have the 4th tie breaker on us which is Strength of Victory in all games. Cincinnati is at a .483 and Buffalo is at a .479. The 5th tie breaker is SOS which Cincy is at .508 to Buffalo .496.
  10. A college football National Championship is nowhere close to the same scope as a Super Bowl event. The Super Bowl is a global event. College football is a national event. I think you're taking the SB for granted.
  11. The Bengals still have that shot to being the 2 seed. It's the same component as needed before Monday Night happened. They needed a Bills loss and they needed to win out. If Buffalo loses on Sunday to New England and Cincy wins vs Baltimore, then Cincy has the tie breaker and are the 2 seed. So nothing changes for them. They just lost the VERY unlikely ability to be the 1 seed.
  12. Again, this is not fair to the Bills or the Bengals. They get a standalone game for what? To decide who's the 2 or 3 seed? So Cincinnati wins, they are the 2 seed....woohoo!!!! Now they get to play the 7 seeded Dolphins who got an extra week to prepare for the Bengals. The 3 seeded Bills just played a hard fought game, lost, but now the 6 seeded Ravens got an extra week to let Lamar Jackson rest up and get healthy. Why are you wanting to do a standalone game so the 6 and 7 seeds are benefitted? Makes no sense to me.
  13. I don't see how it's the least fair. They needed 3 components going into this game to even have a shot at the 1 seed. They needed to win that game, they needed KC to lose, and they needed to win their last game vs Baltimore. They had a 6% chance of being the 1 seed. The Bills were 80% before the game and now a 20% or less if it's a no-contest, loss, or tie. The Bengals were NOT the same record as the Bills. They had 4 losses and the Bills/Chiefs had 3 losses. It sucks that they lose their opportunity, but at the end of the day, they were a full game behind both teams.
  14. You are comparing a playoff game to the Super Bowl? I didn't know the AFC Divisional Playoff had some extravagant 30 minute halftime show. I didn't know there is a week long "Super Bowl Experience" fair type of event? The Super Bowl is their biggest money maker. It takes A LOT to get it prepared. They were able to do it recently, and the NFL admitted it was one of the hardest things they've ever had to do. Yes, you get to sit on your couch and enjoy the game, but there is a ton of things that need to be done leading up to the Super Bowl.
  15. I know this. The win % alone would be good enough for the Bills to finish ahead in the standings. People are acting like the Chiefs are world beaters. Their schedule has been incredibly lackluster and they've played down to opponents and even lost to a bad team. The Chiefs had their "Jaguars loss" week 3. They also nearly had a couple more of them in 3 of the last 4 weeks.
  16. How do you know this? They needed OT to beat 1 win Houston. They won 2 games by a combined 9 points vs a 4 win Broncos team. They squeezed a 30-29 comeback victory against the very team they play this week, during a time the Raiders were in a tailspin. They needed OT to beat Tennessee. What are we talking about here? The Chiefs are not some juggernaut. They play down to their opponents, and the Colts were able to punish them. Tennessee, Denver, and Houston nearly did.
  17. The logistics in 1990 is COMPLETELY different than the logistics in 2023. We are talking 33 years ago. A lot has changed since then. It would be a logistical nightmare for the NFL to do this. Quite frankly, the juice isn't worth the squeeze for the NFL. That's why I think they will just "No Contest" this game. Buffalo will currently be the 2 seed. As for the asterisk comment, if anything, the Chiefs would be the only ones getting the asterisk. They lost to both Buffalo and Cincy and would have essentially got the 1 seed based on a tragedy.
  18. That isn't true. If Kansas City loses to the Raiders, and the Bills beat the Patriots, the Buffalo Bills will have finished the year 13-3 and Kansas City would finish 13-4. Buffalo not only would have the H2H tie breaker, but also the better win %
  19. They could just do what people are suggesting and make it a complete wash. Cincinnati can still be the 2 seed if they win and Buffalo loses. Buffalo can still be the 1 seed if they win and KC loses.
  20. There wouldn't be a huge asterisk that people will think they won it because of this. The Bills could have very well won that game. They were a full game ahead of Cincinnati going into the contest. They had the better record. It wasn't like they were tied in the standings with the Bills leading on a tie breaker.
  21. The Bills and Bengals are penalized. Loser of that game has to play in the Wild Card. So your 2 or 3 seed will be playing the 6 or 7 seed while the 6 or 7 seed is on a bye.
  22. I personally think this team will be fine. Even during the 5 minute warm up period, Diggs was out there rallying the troops. I know the next few days are critical times as they do brain function tests. I’m optimistic he’ll be ok. I’d that is the case, I don’t see this being something that derails them. This team is extremely close and have some pretty great leaders as players, coaching staff and front office. They are getting back to work today and preparing for the Patriots. It’s a good thing they are trying to get some normalcy. Like I said, I know a lot of people are going to wonder how these guys can keep playing, and that’s understandable if you haven’t dealt with something like this before. You just have to keep going. You can either let something like this derail you, or you can use this as notification and play for him and overcome yet again another obstacle. This team is so damn battle tested. Between the injuries, the East Buffalo shooting, the moving to Detroit, to the second blizzard that killed people. They’ve been through a lot. I’m sure it is exhausting, but this could also be yet another reason for a rally cry.
  23. Of course Chiefs fans want the Bills to forfeit. They know it’s PARAMOUNT to play at home via bkth Buffalo and KC. They are TERRIFIED of both teams.
  24. I’ll always be alright with the outcome of the season. There isn’t anything we can do about it anyways when it’s over. I am a member of the military, and have been for 15 years. I think I have a different perspective about this. I’ve had to deal with loss in front of my very eyes. In Dec 2020, I lost two of my friends and fellow members of my unit in a tragic accident. 3 months later, I lost one of my subordinates in a sudden illness. He was fine during the day at work, and during the evening didn’t feel well called me up, and told him to go to the hospital. He would never leave that hospital. I’ve seen people die on my Aircraft after an attack while I was deployed in Iraq. The one thing that has absolutely helped me and the rest of the personnel around me was the fact that we all stopped, paused, had counselors come and speak to us if we needed, and we took 1-2 days of downtime thanks to our leaders. However, with that said, we still had a job to do. Whether we were at home training, or deployed doing the mission. The world will not stop. I understand that the NFL isn’t the military, but it is an entertainment business and its goal is to make as much money as possible. Them canceling the game last night was absolutely correct, but as insensitive as it sounds, they will have to move on. There are 30 teams still needing to compete, and it’s unfair to them to stop everything after all they worked for. I don’t think the Bills season should be over because of this tragedy. At the end of the day, they still have a job to do. Dion Dawkins said it tonight as well. They understand they still have a job to do and they will eventually have to get back to work. They can do one of two things. This can affect them to where their performance will not be up to par, or they will rise above all this, play for Damar and become that juggernaut we seen the first few weeks of the season. The NFL will continue with the season and week 18 will go on. In the grand scheme of things, losing on Sunday does not decide whether this team reaches their preseason goals or not. Sitting around waiting on Damar won’t help him get better. What will help is the constant prayers, positive vibes, and love for him and his family. Being there for him and his family is important. If there are players (Like Dane Jackson) that absolutely cannot play because of this, then give them the time they need and be there for them. Whether it’s a few days or a few months. However, as a team, give them a few days and you have to get some normalcy back to everybody, and that means get to work. Game-planning, practicing, meetings, all that. I’m not trying to speak for Damar, but if this team fights on for him and does what they set out to do, if Damar recovers from this, I’d like to think he’d be proud. I know some people will call me insensitive, but that isn’t my intent. Like I said, I’ve had to deal with co-workers/friends die in front of me, or even get seriously injured, so I have similar experiences, and I felt I could share that to those who haven’t had something like this happen to them. I really do believe a football team and a military unit are absolutely similar in a sense of being a family and caring for each other. You don’t get this kind of bond in a corporate setting.
  25. Then the 6 and 7 seeds have no game. They'd need a result from this game to find out who they play. This is why I'm advocating to just give both teams a win in the standings. This does screw Baltimore, because they'd have no opportunity at the division title, but it is what it is for them TBH.
