Josh was not great in college nor his first season but its clear that he had "it". Not saying its always coaching some guys just are no good, but like i said Allen doesnt succeed for the jets.

i dont think we need a base 43, use him as rusher lining up all over the the line then the occasional drop back in a zone blitz.

I wouldn't say that, the defensive guys were never great to begin with and were brought in as decent players not stars. I believe his philosophy is to spend money on a lot of solid guys instead of a few great ones. Edmunds and Milano have been pretty good, Oliver has had his moments lets see how Epenesa does with another year under his belt.

I definitely like what Schwartz did here but McDermott has done pretty well here too. I like what we have just need to be more aggressive, the way we blitzed Lamar Jackson in the playoffs is what we should have done to Mahomes. McDermott was a little too conservative in the playoffs and it cost us , but he also recognized that and will make the proper adjustments like he has his entire career.

I do think coaching makes a big difference, i think Allen flops if he is drafted by the jets. Allen didn't start well here but McDermott had the patience to stick with him when many here wanted him gone.
