he has been nothing short of spectacular and I am really glad we extended him.

I still see 6-10 in our future but I will honestly be satisfied with 7-9, I just really want to see improvement for once.

I gonna go ahead and agree with the OP here. Fumbles from both of our backs have gotta stop. Spillers killed us on the first possession of the pats game and as far as I am concerned there is barely ever excuses for fumbles from any player let alone backs.

I got to meet him at training camp and talk to him for about 20 minutes because he didnt want to sign little kids autographs (lol). He seems like a real cool guy and honestly just likes playing football, nothing more, nothing less. I think this is exactly what this states. He is pretty low key and is the exact type of guy you want on his football team. He is also pretty funny and went to the same high school as trent edwards which is fairly interesting.

We just plain and simple weren't prepared and it showed. Manuel looked like a true rookie and now all we have is questions.

Agreed with the Dallas MNF crowd been to over 80 games and that one is the loudest by a longshot. That night could've really been special had we won.

It honestly is not a bad game and is early in the season. I dont get why they are having so many problems.

god this kid is a huge kitty, if that was my son he would get a good licking for both being incredibly obnoxious and talking trash in a manner that makes no sense and is just super annoying.

I was pretty happy with the d. Honestly I was happy with everything besides drops, penalties, and vanilla play calling in every quarter but the 3rd. I think spiller will be good to go.

Just keep in mind that Russell Wilson didn't pass for more than 160 yards during the first four games of last year. In the fourth, against St. Louis of all teams, he threw three picks and had a QB rating of 45. After five games last year, he had 5 TDs and 6 INTs.
Ironically, it was the home game against the Pats* that started the turnaround for him.
Nevertheless, although we all want EJ to succeed, and even better to succeed right out of the gate, it's not the way things usually go. Even if he looks pedestrian in the first quarter of the season, we need to be patient. Like others have said, just look for good decision-making and gradual improvement.
And in all honesty, I would way rather him turn it up down the stretch. Its been since about 2007 since we have seen a remotely important game in December. I wouldn't mind just hanging around at least.

Personally I disagree. EJ and one of Spiller, Stevie/Woods needs to have an outstanding game to win.

He always reminded me of Jim Kelly for his ability to hang tough in the pocket. Let him develop as the 3rd stringer. He could be a great LT backup, he certainly has the talent.

I like 3 of the bunch and would like 2 those being Trufant, Winfield, and Minnifield I think all could come in and be serviceable starters. I think that Minnifeld could eventually develop into our LT #2 corner next to Gilmore.

If B Smith makes this team one more time I swear nothing has changed. Easley and Hogan have been more than satisfactory on ST. Brad Smith besides one return has never provided any value to this team.

i honestly think thats generous if anything for the moment being. Unless we come out and shock the world vs the pats I just dont see us having that great of a season with all of the wind that was knocked out of our sails.

I just dont get what we lose as a team that cant win the superbowl by keeping him over b smith.

This. I dont know how you watched this game yet thought Dareus was bad. His push was incredible and motor was very impressive. I was as hard on him as any but he has been great.
