  1. Sandra Flake is great. "U.S. Out of my uterus!!! Oh, but before you go can you make someone else pay for my birth control?"
  2. That's kind of like trading your Sam Adams for Bud Lite.
  3. The real gymnastics routine is lefties trying to find a legitimate way to rationalize their hatred of Romney; you know, other than because he's a Republican.
  4. She looks even better in person.
  5. That's cool; I thought it was surprisingly obtuse coming from you, but it's actually not much different from what we see from the usual suspects around here.
  6. Are you talking to yourself?
  7. You disappoint me. The late Steven Covey once said that if he had to sum up his philosophy into one line it would be to seek first to understand, then to be understood. Not only are you not first trying to understand, you're actively trying to misconstrue and misrepresent a fairly clear statement. What you're doing here is building a strawman, and doing a piss poor job of it I might add.
  8. You're starting to sound like Park now. No one said anything even remotely similar to what you just posted.
  9. I have a very credible source who said Harry Reid used to trick young boys into sticking their fingers in his ass hole.
  10. Dude, come on. You're smarter than that. "No Child Left Behind" and the Medicare expansion does dick **** to prevent AIDS. Issues like that are amusing insofar as the ignorance of the vocal activists is so easily exposed; just ask them how much we currently spend on <fill in cause> and how much we should be spending; the inevitable answers are not enough and more. And I've yet to hear which Dems were pushing for action that would have averted the '08 debacle.
  11. Yeah, that's a good point. I was referring to his positive actions like "No child left behind" and the like; every feel-good campaign compassionate-conservative "do-something" promise he made good on, unfortunately.
  12. That's one thing you have to hand to Bush; he made good on all his campaign promises. I wish he hadn't, but he did.
  13. It's entertaining watching ...lybob in this thread. The best part is, he's not some Axlerod type trying to spin some bogus non-story to distract a semi-attentive public - He's actually convinced himself that all of this is not only true, but of the utmost importance. And that Mitt Romney is an evil man who fleeced the poor. In his mind, he believes he would give half a **** if these accusations and this evidence (see lack of) were leveled against a Democrat.
  14. I kind of get the similarities - both guys greatest strength is that he's not the other guy; neither garnered much enthusiasm from the base - but that's about where the similarities end. Romney hasn't been terribly specific, but he's offered more than a declaration of having a secret plan (and has any campaign line ever relied on the idiocy of the target audience like "I'll invest in job creation"? ). Romney has said he wants to cut corporate taxes, wants to offer stronger solidarity with Israel (which I have reservations about, but it is a discernable difference from Obama), wants to scale back social spending, and repeal Obamacare. That's four significant differences off the top of my head and I haven't really been paying that much attention to his campaign.
  15. I think what he's really trying to hide is the time he pushed legislation through the state legislature to run funds to a slum lord who in return gave him a sweetheart land deal far below market price and then ceded enough of the adjacent lot so that no one could build on it. An abuse of power for personal gain of that nature could certainly speak to whether or not he's fit to be trusted with the power of the Presidency. Imagine if a guy like that came into power. He could launder taxpayer dollars to his campaign through generous grants and subsidies to his friends and allies who will generously contribute a portion of that to him as a kick back. Maybe we do need to find out what he's hiding.
  16. Kerry lost because he absolutely sucked as a candidate. To borrow a gem from our resident wise man, he had all the brains of a rock but none of the personality. He had all the charisma of a dead moth. He couldn't argue policy b/c he had nothing but a plan to have a plan. He was going to follow the Bush war plan except he was going to do it smarter. So that left him with 1 selling point - he fought in Viet Nam. And he might have pulled it off had he been a little more smooth - been the guy who casually draws attention to his Rolex by checking the time rather than the guy who keeps loudly announcing that he's wearing one.
  17. That right there is the crux of the matter & what differentiates this situation from those you listed. As a nihilist I found his full statement to be a bit fanatical, but not worthy of this level of attention & certainly not of disciplinary action by government. If leftists were just saying "shut up & bring me my sandwich" or encouraging others to voluntarily abstain from eating there I wouldn't be going out of my way to devour their deliciously hateful sandwiches. And let's be honest, there is nothing more ridiculous than a bunch of ass holes who were cumming in their pants over a President who opposed gay marriage up until about 10 minutes ago suddenly deciding such hate can't be tolerated from sandwich makers.

  19. Sometimes kids of "privilege" have it just as hard or harder than those who are "underprivileged". I'm not saying this was or wasn't true of Reid's kid, but some of these kids are emotionally neglected, suffer from depression, or are under so much pressure they can't handle it & something's gotta give. Money's great but it can't fix everything.
  20. Bit of a stretch here; Romney basically sends the message that he's willing to take military action if necessary and that makes him a war hawk? I gotta think liberals were either bullies or bullied kids who never learned how to stand up to the bully. Just like you deal with a bully, you want to let everyone know that you're happy to get along but have it understood that if they !@#$ with you you'll put them on their asses.
  21. Come on, man. You can't give a build up like that & not deliver. You've got an unspeakable personal experience that made you find God; not a bad start.
  22. Take 'er easy, bub. That's not directed at you; just making fun of Tea bag haters.
  23. That & it's been a while since anyone other than Walter Sobchak gave a **** about Viet Nam.
