  1. You might be able to trade Lee Evans and Kyle Williams to Detroit for their 1st........ .......................................Don't taze me bro
  2. agreed so here is a question if you go to a 3-4 and get a BIG NT like Paul Soliai do you keep kyle Williams as a passing down NT or do you try to find a trade.
  3. Dareus May have shorter arms then Fairley but he is not short armed
  4. I really don't think one is better than the other the only frustrating thing about running the 3-4 is that our best defensive player Kyle Williams is more of a one gap 4-3 dt than a NT. Our front seven players at this time is a mix ( 4-3 types Williams, POZ, Kelsey, Ellison) (3-4 types Dwan Edwards, Merriman, Maybin, Johnson) and (neutral or unknown Carrington, Troup, Moats, Batten).
  5. If Newton can show he's a reasonably bright guy at the combine interviews he's going to be picked very high because he has everything else, if he comes off as kinda dumb then he might last into the 20s.
  6. This has been happening for awhile - people have been inching towards the exits, the problem is that that the euro isn't a particularly safe option either and there are no other contenders for reserve currency, china has been doing currency swaps and trying to move into tangible assets but it is a slow process as they don't want to destroy either their dollar assets or market for their goods, China's main goals now are improving their own domestic markets and to move up the value chain on their exports.
  7. Amtrak train stations- they are dangerously depressing and seem to be located in places that give you a good chance at being mugged
  8. GDP = 1.Wages, salaries, and supplementary labour income 2.Corporate profits 3.Interest and miscellaneous investment income 4.Farmers’ income 5.Income from non-farm unincorporated businesses lets say the economy loss 200,000 jobs which would have provided a total of 10 billion dollars to the GDP at an aggregated 18% effective tax rate = 1.8 billion tax revenue not received. At the same time Exxon increased their corporate profits 20 billion and pay an effective tax rate of 5% = 1 billion tax revenue. GDP increases 10 billion but tax revenues decrease by .8 billion
  9. 1. could also mean deductions went up or ability to defer taxes increased 2. the proportion of GDP generated from different sectors probably changed less from labor income more from corporate profits, dividends, and capital gains
  10. btw if you don't understand effective tax rates try these real tax rate effective tax rates
  11. 1. you are not looking for a product you are looking for a ratio or a percentage that's what share means and it tells you nothing of what GDP or tax revenues are in absolute values just what there relationship to each other are. 2. Just because the statutory tax rates stayed the same doesn't mean effective tax rates stayed the same. 3. You have a lot of nerve giving a math lesson to anyone.
  12. I Like the OPs draft but Still hoping for a trade down to sixth 1. Robert Quinn OLB 2a Martez Wilson ILB 2b Marcus Cannon ROT/OG 3. Jarvis Jenkins DE 4a Joseph Barksdale ROT 4b Kendrick Ellis NT 5. best CB 6. John Clay RB 7. best DB
  13. pretty much true - while there are many lovely individuals as a whole the human race sucks. We tend to be lead by clever sociopaths, are easily manipulated by fear, and believe in zero sum games
  14. My Grandmother would have said the same thing about the Irish, Italians, Polish and the Jews and yet it all kinda worked out in the end- of course she was born in 1895 so I'm going to give a pass to anyone on this board born before 1900 everyone else is a moron.
  15. When drafting I'd think about the following 1. Players absolute ability at his position compared to everyone in the draft and everyone in the NFL - is he a HOF type player, a usually pro-bowl type, a couple time pro-bowl type, and so on. 2. The importance of his position- QB is the most important position and people will argue about the order of other positions 3. The gap between the player and the next best player at his position, the strength of the position in the whole draft 4. What is the difference between the player and the player on your team he'd replace
  16. Would I rate Jones this low? no but a site did- the point is that most places I follow have a gap between AJ Green who is rated #1 WR and Julio Jones who is rated #2 WR- do I know who the better WR? is or who more highly thought of by the NFL scouts? no! just what I read and seen on youtube but if there is a big enough gap maybe it would be enough persuade a team to move up.
  17. My reading is that while they are similar players that AJ Green has much better hands- most sites I've seen have Green 1-5 where Jones is rated 10- all the why into the 2nd round- the only football site I've seen make the case for Jones over Green was the Bleacher Report.
  18. Jeeeze you are a special kind of stupid
  19. Green, Peterson but also there are at least five teams in desperate need of a QB (ARI, SF, Titians, Washington, Minn,) - in other years these teams may have signed a vet QB before the draft but with no CBA there's going to be an uncertainty factor that may have some team reach for a QB.
  20. AJ Green and Cleveland if they want to get ahead Cincinnati , QB Newton or Blain and Washington must Jump ahead of SF and Arizona , Peterson and Detroit
  21. oh totally anti-sapiens or at least anti-sapience.
  22. So every religion must be responsible for it's most extreme practitioners?
