Because, team. He is a core part of the Buffalo Bills, a centerpiece of their locker room brotherhood. The team relationship, the culture, matters.

To me, it's just another moment in the daily flow of a class organization. Take care of your people. Bring injured players back conservatively and put them in positions to succeed.
Reading all the negative comments about the turf at MetLife stadium had me hoping Tre wouldn't play today.

I had to move away for work. But, home will always be home.
Side note: I live in Boston. Here, they have a term for us transplants, “NY State friendly” (notice, not NYC) - it makes me proud.

Now he goes to NY, and he gets a quality RB like Barkley (who isn’t even THAT quality considering his last few season after a great rookie campaign) and BAM. Leading rusher in the NFL. Career resurgence.
So maybe, just maybe, our lack of RB production wasn’t because of Daboll or Dorsey. And maybe our GM knows this which is why we have been dumping mid round picks to try to find SOMEONE decent at RB for the last 4 years.

This wasn't a chance meeting. But, I'll always remember Shane Conlan and his wife's "normal people" kindness.
During the 90s Super Bowl run, I worked in Rochester radio and interviewed Shane every week for the 92-93 season. Conlan would call me on Wednesday afternoons. We would do a 15 minute, recorded interview and it would be played on the coming Friday morning show.
One week, I accidentally erase the recording - total disaster. The show was sponsored - that meant $$s. I frantically called Shane's agent, who (in friendly fashion) gave me Shane's home number, but cautioned, "You can't make a 23-year-old millionaire do what he doesn't want to do". One of my favorites quotes ever.
Then, I called the Conlan home. His wife answered. I began with an apology for disrupting her day and explained myself. She warmly responded, "Oh, Hi Dave! (we had never met before) How are you today? We're sitting down for dinner in about 30 minutes. So, you picked a great time." She then turned away from the phone, said, "Shane, it's for you."
Shane got on the call and I again apologized, explaining the situation. He laughed and said, "Sounds like you fumbled." I laughed and responded, "In my world, this is a massive turnover." He then said, "Are you ready to start recording? Good, let's do this". All was saved.
The Conlans were just a very nice next-door-neighbor type family, where the husband happened to work in the NFL.
Later in the year, after the Houston comeback, Shane's wife came on the call for that week's interview to describe the scene of all the fans trying to get back into the stadium. We laughed and celebrated through the whole call.
I look back on those days and feel very fortunate to have been able enjoy them the way I did.

I don't agree that it was a bad decision to go for 7. Baltimore has a former MVP, perennial Pro Bowl, veteran at QB who may be the most elusive individual in the league. If the situation were reversed (I supported our decision to go for it in Tennessee), I would be upset and the naysayers on this board would crucify McDermott.
This was ALL on Lamar Jackson. He was late (you expect better from a Pro Bowl veteran) finding the receiver. Worse, as the video shows, he threw the ball to the field side of his receiver. If he places that ball on the sideline side of his receiver, it's a touchdown. Rookie ball placement.
Regarding Poyer, fantastic play. I would love to have that explosive quickness, just one day in my life.

I think Lamar Jackson is being let off the hook here. He backpedaled and threw a floater off his back foot. We can recognize that Poyer (he sure did!) made a great play and we can debate the Harbaugh call. However, a veteran QB panicked and threw a prayer that got intercepted. I put that on Jackson.

The Harp, right next to the Garden, is the main Bills backers bar in Boston. I’ve heard Fenway does a good job. But, The Harp is the real Bills’ party.

Davis doesn't come down with a near routine TD catch.
It took all these plays and injuries to half our team for the Fins to win, at home, by two. We'll be fine.
