OK defense, keep up the good work.

And we get them without Goedert.
We assume they will be able to run at will on us, but with Linval Joseph in the mix, more Shaq Lawson (now that we’ve pulled back on Von) and the way Tyrel Dodson has been playing .. are we sure that will be the case?Who is "we"? I don't watch with that assumption at all. False narrative.

I love the opening sentence, "Let’s strip away all on-field results from the 2023 Buffalo Bills for a second."
This is how you create a false narrative. Whether it is politics, at work, or socially, the way to misguide and absolve yourself of being incorrect is to establish a paradigm that eliminates facts that contradict your point. Laughable.

BOTH at this point. WE NEED SARTAIN or someone at least serviceable, not some washed up guys.
Yes he is... the pressure is really building, and if our problems get any worse, he will be in the hot seat like Staley is. You can feel it. Get serious.
Followed up by an even dumber take. Keep going, you’re on a roll.

McDermott is fighting for his job at this point, and he's trying to throw anything at the wall to make it stick. Either Beane is not giving him a lifeline or McDermott is seriously putting band-aids on a large open wound.
No, McDermott is not fighting for his job. Epic dumb.

Let’s recognize him for what he is; a tremendously talented QB who with continued experience may very well be spoken of as one of the greatest ever. But that at present he has room to get better. And if someone had the temerity to say so it does not mean they are a non-fan, or Bills hater, or whatever.
Well stated. No look-at-me drama queens here. I sure did not enjoy the Patriots game and sure do enjoy cheering for Josh. That's sports. This old man will buy that old man fan a beer if we ever meet.

Wash Rinse Repeat. . . . DaQuan Jones.
I spent all last season believing DaQuan Jones was our defensive MVP. He was/is the rock up front that frees the other ten to perform.

Where in MS?
You looking it?
Olive Branch, about 20 minutes from Memphis. At age 62, I decided I want to grow old with my college friends. I like the south, like this area, and am loving being back with my 45 year friends. And, 😁 I no longer own a snow shovel.
Do you live in this area?

Thad Lewis was not a name I expected to be reminded of when I got up this morning.

I moved to Mississippi about five months ago. We see the commercial here and my local friends enjoy laughing at (with) me about it.

Done. Thank you, OP!

Is he the NFL’s version of Ralph Krueger?
Yes, and McDermott is Donnie Meatballs for defensive player improvement.

Glab clearly thinks highly of herself enough to be so comfortable criticizing Diggs with a broad stroke to a room full of reporters.
This is not wrong, nor unfair. I work in a large corporate environment. I am a grunt - middle manager. Think of Steph as a VP. He certainly is a VIP. I would not, regardless of my feelings, make a loud and proud assertion or joke about a VP's mannerisms. At times, we have to know our place and shut up.
I wouldn't expect to be fired. But, I would NEVER drop a public f-bomb. Adulting is adulting.

My concern with Edmunds' departure is the extra demands his absence will place on our DBs. Nobody will deny he took a lot of space in the middle. White and CB2 (TBD) will have to cover a bit more inside. Poyer and Hyde (aging and coming off injuries) will be responsible for more space in front of them. It's a game of inches and we may see a lower rate of success among our DBs as they miss the help they got in all directions from Edmunds. Time will tell, but this is my '23 concern.

I know of a Bills fan who used to be in Athens. I lived there from '86-'88.
It. Was. Awesome.

Can i get a readers digest version of wtf is going on? I got that Diggs was not at practice but is in Buffalo etc etc, but i just do not have the patience to read through 107 pages of posts...LOL
I have quickly scanned and the nearest I can figure out, Josh got drunk and had his way with Diggs the night before the Bengals playoff game. Whether or not Diggs got pregnant seems to be a question.

I recommend getting the A22 from NFL+. I re-watch every week and I see plays like below over and over. Allen doesn't even look at Shakir to his right who is wide open. He could have hopscotched into the endzone. Instead he thread the needle for a tough throw to Davis. The result is a highlight reel TD. On TV we see that and think "Allen has to put the team on his back. There are only contested throws. Our WR can't get open. Dorsey sucks, why can't he scheme anything".
Allen is a generational talent and his talent plus moxy allows him to get away with a lot more than other less talented players in the league. But low percentage plays are still low percentage even if you are better at them than your peers. It has a tendency to stall our offense. We just force the ball down field far too often. Josh almost never lets the ball go at the top of his drop. Sometimes he doesn't see the entire field. Sometimes he wants the bigger play and ignores the easy money. None the less a quicker release and spreading the ball out a lot more will help the run game, OL, and Diggs.
This is certainly a nuanced discussion where Dorsey, the OL, and our WR group all need to be better. But it is worth mentioning that that part of the load that Josh carries is weight he unnecessarily puts on his own shoulders.I will be hyped if we somehow navigate signing Hopkins. But we don't "neeeeeeed" Hopkins. Part of the expectation (rightfully) placed on a $40M QB is to do a lot more with a lot less than other QB's in the league.
🤔 I don't hate this view.

Beane strikes again.
He means what he says when he talks about being conservative and building to be "good" every year.
Unfortunately, that also means rarely ever making a splash and going for it all.
Did you see how he talked about the 4th round pick he gave up last month to move up in the draft? You would have thought he was talking about giving up his dog. He seemed so solemn about it.
Quite frankly I'm shocked that he ever built up the balls to trade for Diggs.
Von Miller says hello.

The market determines what is fair pay for Shaq. If the market decides he is worth more, he'll go else where. He hasn't yet, which tells us he was paid fairly.

Not being hyperbolic here when I say that drafting him might've been a tipping point for this franchise (in the wrong direction)...
Actually, yes you are being hyperbolic. And, a bit ridiculous.

The Bills front office and coaching staff don't leak information or show their hands. Since the advent of McBeane, we have never known what they were going to do, until they did it. Adam Schefter and the NFL talking heads are just making up things to talk about. I do not believe we have gained any insight from their comments.

So you are happy with running everything back next year? Same everything just a few different players?
There is an enormous difference between firing the GM, coach and coordinators (all called for today on the forum) and making improvements for next year. If we were talking in person, I would laugh at your question.

Diggs needs to knock off the public displays of confronting his QB. It is getting to be a very bad look. We know he wants the ball.
Losing one's temper on the sideline and shouting at a teammate is not a sign of leadership. It is self-indulgent behavior revealing the individual is not big enough for the moment.

I don't post on here that often but I definitely lurk and read a lot. I think we can all agree that it's rare to see such unity when it comes to a certain opinion. Normally after the season ends you always get a thread or 2 about firing this coach or that coach or trading this player or that player. What's unusual is it normally stops or you see rebuttal posts. Yes it hasn't been 24 hrs yet but the majority of us realize something needs to change. Is it the GM, the head coach, the Coordinators, position coach's or players? Lots of opinions but we all seem to agree that major shakeup needs to happen. We finally have Josh Allen here in Buffalo and we can't keep doing this. If Beane truly wants to win a Super Bowl then EVERYTHING is on the table this morning. Good job TBD and I hope we can keep their feet to the fire.
I can only speak for myself, but I am absolutely not unified with the current "throw the bums out" messages on this board. I consider today's threads to be knee-jerk temper tantrums that do not provide quality thought or interesting reading. With that, my presence and participation will be significantly scaled back for about a week, hoping the outrage will cool.
