  1. So in other words, Tuel isn't allowed to be even considered for a starting position, no matter how well he plays, because Kolb is an NFL Veteran and EJ is a 1st round pick.

I suppose that is how the NFL works so can't really argue.

You know what No Saint is saying. Enough of this game. There is no way in hell that someone that has the mental capacity to actually use a computer and navigate his way through the Internet can't understand why the thought of Tuel being equal or better than either Kolb or Manuel is ridiculous. Knock it off, buddy. Your joke has run its course. And your little friends', too.

  2. I didn't want to respond to this but really!!?? Tuel has outperformed both Manuel and Kolb to this point? What is that based off of? He played a good half of preseason football vs scrubs.. Can you provide me 1 article stating that Tuel is outperfoming EJ up to this point? Tuel had ZERO expectations coming in so whatever he provides is really surprising since you would believe a UDFA to be a bit behind. I think that is what all this hype is about more than anything.

You didn't really fall for that crap, did you? Trolling seems to be the big thing around here. Trolling, arguing, saying how "the last forum I was at was way better," yet not going back to said last forum. Getting old very quickly.

  3. In my experience, RAV-4 and CRV owners are the absolute worst.

Any car with a Vermont license plate, in my experience. They usually drive Subarus. People knock NJ drivers all the time. They are fast and they are aggressive. But Vermont drivers have tunnel vision. They'll ride the middle or left lane, going 10 MPH below the speed limit ... people passing them on both sides (dangerous) and won't even think about moving over where they belong.

  4. gug...Wife, daughter & I went to Anchor bar last year. It was my first time in 20+ years, their first time ever. IMO you have to go just to say you did...go. I thought that the wings were good and the beef on weck very good. This time we'll do Duff's. A couple months ago we were in the area and hit Schwabel's. There are just some things ya gotta do.

Thanks, BB. That's exactly where I'm coming from. My buddy and I are thinking of hitting Nick T.'s in Rochester to get a garbage plate on the way to O.P. While in O.P., Duff's is on our list for wings .... but then Big Cat threw out Bar Bill. We'll likely do Duff's, just because of the reputation.

Anchor Bar is a likely destination for the same reason ... as you said ... just to say we did.

Maybe on Saturday, we'll hit Anchor Bar for a few beers after we check in, then Duff's for dinner.

Garbage Plate, Anchor Bar, Duff's wings, Hammer's Lot, meeting Beerball and Mead, sitting on JBoyst's lap ... AND a Bills/Pats home opener ... that's a great fuggin' weekend.

  5. Kolb has been exposed to a lot more than the other two, and likely facing higher expectations in the reviews. the coaches have openly said they are throwing a lot more at kolb. if kolb had no expectations and ran with the 3s against a simplified defense id bet hed be getting glowing reviews too. our wrs are deep, our corners are not.

your UDFA does anything and its a nice throw in for a camp report. Your vet facing the first team and full blitz packages has any struggle and its the story.... not that he has wildly struggled or looked awful from what i have read. hes simply played like kevin kolb it seems - a guy thats not a top 15 qb but still a good player to have around.

i think perspective is important here.

    Extremely well-stated.

  6. I believe the only criterion is whether or not it can run bicyclists off country roads.

I was riding my motorcycle down a narrow mountain road last Sunday. Two little bitches on bicycles were taking up the entire right side of the road and nearly forced me into oncoming traffic.

  7. Last time around buying a car for me, I went 3 months with no car (I was train-commuting at the time) and test drove everything. My wife got annoyed with me one day and said, "Go test drive a BMW and get a manual transmission if you want one." Not sure why I hadn't tried the BMWs but I guess the 3 series didn't speak to me from the road and the 5 Series was bigger than I wanted.

I test drove the 3 and 5. Different cars but on another level than the Acuras, Lexuses, Fords, Lincolns, Toyotas--no comparison when it came to the driving. In the end I got a manual 3 Series and you know what? People can say whatever they want about me. My car is %^&*ing awesome to drive. I didn't get a BMW for prestige. I didn't get it so I can say I have one. I got it because when I drove it, it kicked ass. 5 years on, it still kicks ass and now I'm an every day 40 mile each way commuter. I hope to be driving this car for a loooooooooong time, despite the bad MPGs. When I get my next car, it may make sense for me to get a gas-sipping Toyota and I may make that sensible decision, but in my heart, I will want another BMW.

That's the right reason to get a BMW. And as much as it pains me to say it, I agree with Chef Jim: People drive way too slow. I need a 110 mph speed limit lane.

I was very much in a "get a 3-series" mode for a long time. I'm not sure what changed, but I suddenly wanted something more rugged. I ended up getting a Jeep Wrangler. I love it. But I miss driving a sedan quite often. If I ever do go back to a sedan, it will likely be a BMW and likely a 3-series.

  8. It does amaze me how this guy went from gold to dog crap in 2 years. I don't know how so many people could have been so wrong about him when he was in Oakland. Did he get his money and then just sat back and collected? I also agree that the Eagles have made some of thee worst personnel decisions the past few years starting with Asomugha, Peters, Bell, ....

... Vick, Young, Edwards, Kearse ...

Man, that is a bad list ...

  9. Half of them have no idea about the performance of a BMW. Drive them hard! The other half who lease them never ever clean the brake dust from the wheels

I have a neighbor who has owned a BMW for the majority of his adult life, but ... no kidding ... he now drives a Prius. He is kind of a dick, but he's in sales, so that's to be expected.

Anyway, he knows BMWs like the back of his hand, so that give us some peace of mind.

  10. My wife drives a BMW. She's almost embarrased. And I won't drive it to work, nor do I talk about "the BMW" at work. It's weird. Her dream car has always been an X-5. We were able to get her into a nice used one. We just don't consider ourselves "BMW people."

    Hard to explain.

Even though I rarely drive it, I am most definitely an ass hole. But my wife isn't.

  11. I couldn't find a picture of her I could link via my phone but to me that award goes to Raquel Welch. But then again I'm partial to redheads.

I'm with you, here. Gotta check some photos at around 60 for Bernadette Peters and Sophia Loren, too.

    Here's Sophia Loren at 60.

And here's Bernadette Peters at 60 ... WOW!

  12. Yeah, you gotta kick the tires on any OL, but anytime an OL is released - especially a tackle - I'm skeptical. I don't think it would hurt to consider Nnamdi Asomugha, either. Veteran depth at CB on this team could serve us well in the long run.
