  1. Where I see the run defense improved is up the middle, there's no doubt the Bills need to do a much better job of containing the edges. I'm not sure if it's due to the over-aggressive style of the Bills that's leaving the sides vulnerable or if it's the play of the LB's, but that area needs to improve.

The offense has put up a good amount of points in the last 2 games, but struggled most of the season. Granted, it was tough when you're playing with 3 QB's this season, but we've seen the offense go 3 and out a ton of times and with a high-paced/no huddle offense, those fast 3-and-outs have put a ton of on the defense.

I don't know. Here are the Bills' points in their losses:

    21 - NE

    20 - NYJ

    24 - CLE

    24 - CIN

    17 - NO

    13 - KC

    10 - PIT

    31 - ATL

The defense (lack thereof), in my opinion, is the reason we lost all but the NO, KC, PIT games. All the other ones, I believe the offense put up enough to win.

  2. This year, the defense has improved in a lot of areas. The offense also needs to do their part by playing good on a consistent basis.

They've gotten more sacks. They're still not stopping the run. They're still not holding teams on 3rd down. They're still giving up more points than most teams in the league.

The offense has scored a lot of points this season. Enough to win most games.

  3. Star Trek II, you stupid !@#$ing halfwitted ass-faced mutt.

(Note to mods: that's not abuse. He entirely deserves that, and worse. "Star Trek IV." )

It would be - "Star Gugny IV: The Voyage Home" following the farmer's rules.

  4. People can disagree with me all they want.

IMO, part of the cutting of choice was a general reaction to the Bills loss and a shot across the bow to a few players still on the roster.

    Thanks FiC.

I've played on teams where the coach would yell and scream at one player to get the message to other players. That's often what "whipping boys" are for. As I've said before, anyone who has watched sports for a long time or has read lots of sports literature has seen or heard of these sort of punitive transactions in sports before.

As for siblings, older siblings also will often get yelled at for things their younger siblings did but I admit in this case, it's not quite the same dynamic.

I just think if this was a statement move, he would have just cut Chandler and hoped it worked out (not a hell of a lot to lose, at this point).

I think this was just about a roster spot to bring in competition for Chandler --- which is a message/statement.

But Choice was more a victim of circumstance than a pawn used to send a message, in my opinion.

  5. The main factor in cutting Choice is this:

Someone had to be the sacrificial lamb.

This is called indirect accountability. The blood of Tashard Choice is on the hands of Stevie Johnson and Scott Chandler.

The players have been put on notice. This is a wake-up call.

If any of this is actually true, as to the reason Tashard Choice got cut .... then Doug Marrone is an idiot and a crappy coach and leader.

Why would cutting a 3rd string RB send a message? To whom?

Who gets woken up when a guy who gets less than 3 carries per game gets cut?

What coach says, "you know what ... two guys, a WR and a TE, fumbled and we lost a game. Therefore, I'm going to cut a guy who a) has never made an impact, good or bad, in any game and b) had nothing to do with us losing the game.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying if you're right, this team is in schit load of trouble.
