  1. This just shows what damaged goods the Bills, under Ralph Wilson and his inner circle, have become. Cleveland and the Redskins have already got their guys, and the Bills had a head start on both of them, considering they haven't had a real GM in years and it's been over seven weeks since Jauron was fired. This is what happens when a man in his 90's is running the show. He's scared and stuck in the mud, and we have to eat it. As someone said in another post, "prepare to be disappointed!"
  2. I'm not going to argue with you on that, you're right. I was locked on the idea of what Dick Vermeil did for the Eagles after coming from UCLA, a young guy with passion and fire, I know, definitely an exception here, for this debate.
  3. Found it hard to disagree. Let's get Jim Harbaugh.
  4. I know the bad blood between Cowher and Donahoe may be ancient history, but could there still be some incentive for Cowher, in that he goes to Buffalo and makes the Bills a powerhouse and a winner, something Donahoe proved completely inept at?
  5. If he's putting a staff together, wouldn't that presuppose that he already knows where he's going? I mean, could you honestly hear him on the phone asking someone to be his OC or DC but not being able to tell them where they'd be working?
  6. I'll give you three: Art Rooney, Wellington Mara, and Jack Kent Cook. Why? because they're dead; taking the big dirt nap! But fear not, ol' Ralphie's not far from joining the party. Then, maybe we can get some ownership in here and turn this abortion of a franchise around.
  7. Are you dyslexic, or do you just not know how to spell business? BTW, he(RW) is a problem, a huge problem.
  8. Thisjust in: Ralph Wilson finished his tapioca and pronounced he's delighted Joe Willy's starting next week!
  9. What difference does it make until that cadaver of an owner in Detroit makes a complete change in the FO ?
  10. I merely asked a question. I hope you live alone because you need to calm down!
  11. Since this is a "wish list" type of question, I'd start with a new owner. We can't continue to have an inept, 91 yo man making critical, strategic decisions if we're ever going to win
  12. In the context of this particular debate, Canton means nothing. Jimmy Johnson's in the Hall, and his teams kicked Marv's ass. If we had Saban or Knox, we win at least two of those SB's.
  13. Marv was a good coach, not great. As you only compare him to coaches we've had since you've been watching in the mid 80's it's not hard for him to be the best. Let's see, that would include Kay Stephenson, Hank Bullough, Phillips, Williams, Mularkey, and Jauron. I'd agree insofar as that goes, but for my money, Marv couldn't hold a candle to Lou Saban or Chuck Knox.
  14. If he'd have just said fruitcake instead of fag. A fag is slang for cigarette isn't it, in that Van Morrison song?
  15. I've been following this team since '65. I do blame RW. How far back do you want to go? He let Pete Gogolak go to the Giants rather than give him a raise. He allowed the Lamonica/ Glenn Bass trade for over-the-hill Tom Flores and Art Powell, who was a huge locker room cancer. He let Ron McDole go to the Redskins when he still had good servicable years left because of money. We could have signed Ted Hendricks but Wilson was too cheap. He let Ahmad Rashad go. This franchise has a legacy of bad decisions solely based on Wilson's pocketbook. The phony explanation of continuity being the reason for keeping Jauron post last season is but the latest example. We fans deserve better..., a better product, a better front office, a better coaching staff, and yes, a better owner!
  16. We drafted Kelly in '83 but didn't sign him til '86 because of that cheap bastard Wilson, and we might not have signed Kelly in '86 if Polian didn't talk Wilson into it, so spare us
  17. Definitely agree. Here's the problem though: even if Jauron gets canned, which he should, his eventual replacement will be hired by none other than Wilson, the same guy who's kept Jauron around for continuity, so he says. Truth is, if the Bills had a board of directors, they would have run his(Wilson's) ass out decades ago for his legacy of mismanagement. I'm afraid we're indeed on the seacruise of mediocrity, to borrow Sully's words, until RW sells or croaks, whichever comes first.
  18. There's only way Dick Jauron can redeem himself, in my mind. I need to hear him shout from the sidelines, with all the emotion he can muster, "THEY'RE KILLIN' WHITEY!"
  19. I wonder if Buffalo's improved line play on both sides of the ball(so far) can be in any attributed to the departures of Jim McNally on the OL side and Bill Kollar on the DL side? For as much as McNally was touted, in the years he spent here, it seemed the OL really couldn't open up any holes to provide for a sustained running attack. Nor did it seem Losman or Edwards could reliably have a pocket to stand in with time. Could Sean Kugler be providing all the diiference, especially given the heretofore nice play of all those young guys on the OL? About Kollar, I've read he's highly respected around the league, that the Bills allowed to go to Houston, and that Marv was about to recommend him to Jauron, only to learn that Jauron had already selected him. With all due respect to having a great reputation, how does that translate into results? Maybe it's not such a bad idea afterall having someone with a more business, and less football, background to look at results and not be so caught up in reputation.
