  1. Besides this OP being completely racist - "The following link will state that by 2050 this country will be 29% Hispanic. "As a country, are we ok with this?" What? or better WTF? Are we Ok with Jews coming, or blacks?....maybe these people are just ...humans....

I wonder if the Natives were posting in the 1500's..."you know by 1700 88 percent of this country is going to be Euro?"....

As well - Who is "we" - us white immigrants?....divinely guided to an already inhabited by the land becuase God wanted us to have it? Or are you Native American?

Why don't you do some homework and start with some facts...like the fact that net Mexican immigration in the US has NOT CHANGED over the last 8 years,,,,that;s right as many have left as have come in.....so much for that porous border huh?

Maybe these "latins" (is that what us "Merican's officially call them) - are citizens and are having kids....you do know - you have to be a citizen to vote right?

  2.

I comment about a smart person not using federal funds to start their business, you argue my point by explaining about how successful a state fund is, and you think I'M the one who has no idea what he's talking about?

    Got it.

Many states, counties and cities -- particularly smaller, more rural areas who have lost what used to be decent manufacturing to overseas -- have great loan/incubator programs for qualifying ideas, and they tend to be managed at the local level. It makes great sense if you have the idea and product/service, but wouldn't mind a little juice to get you going. I've seen local governments take empty buildings and turn them into low-cost office spaces for just this kind of thing. It works because it's local.

Tying your startup to federal funds should be a non-starter for any smart business person because the embarrassingly ridiculous amount of paperwork required just to get their attention is enough to make a thinking person realize that if the feds inefficiencies don't screw you, their lack of accountability will. Why in the world would you put everything you have on the line in hopes OUR federal government will be looking out for you? That's not blind faith. It's blind stupidity.

Frankly, I prefer the way I did to counting on someone else's fund, but the idea of saving for a few years years to start up my company with my own cash is likely foreign to a person who can't tell difference between a state and federal government. Financially, the only person my company is beholden to is me because I'm the only one I trust not to FUBAR what I have going.

Again - you starting with the premise that everything Federal sucks - and again you have no experience so you are talking out your ass. It is not the paperwork....it's the terms Bud Fox....anyone looking for capital wants the best terms - if you think private/VC/corporate investment (I have done all three) have easier paperwork that govt funds - you are wrong. What I can definitively tell you - is that the most important thing is terms - collateral, security, is what makes the difference - not the paperwork.

And since you are such an genius - you are breaking the first rule of start up - NEVER use your own money - I assume you own a house and spent a few extra years saving up so you didn't have to borrow money from a bank that ultimately had the loan secured by Freddie.....

Keep digging Teacon - full of idealism...totally lacking experience....

  3.

Yes, what we need is another government agency with a staff of 360 to look out for innovation and technology. Genius idea.

And since you clearly have no idea about the way things work otherwise, many cities set up incubators to help small businesses get their legs. The last thing a SMART entrepreneur would want to do is cut a deal with the federal government to get its start.

Cast your judgement as I know you will but....I work with a State fund who has invested in one of my companies. SMART entrepreneurs of course want to cut a deal with a government as the funds are MUCH easier to deal with (ask almost ANY start up person....like say Elon Musk). VC's and "savvy" money are pretty much out to do one thing - steal your company from you. On the other hand the State fund I work with invests in true start ups which VC's wouldn't touch...and BTW - their fund is very successful - so yes a government can run an investment fund and make money. The fund I work is patient, helpful and they are getting a return on their investment.

LA - you clearly have NO idea what you are talking about on this subject (start up funding) - but I am quite sure it won't keep you from yapping and trying to somehow cob your political idealism into this subject....

  4.

I'm convinced that Obama the posters on PPP truly believe what they says, and when reality doesn't turn out the way they says, they think reality's wrong.

It's the typical behavior of a very pretty smart person who has little experience in the real world, but learned how the real world should work by reading the classics...

Fixed it for you - couldn't have said it better

  5. Yeah, Obama is like you in that he needs to be confronted with the scientific reality that AGW is merely a theory, and, given the state of the current data, more like a hypothesis, and nowhere near, or even on the right path towards, anything resembling a law of physics, or a physical constant like gravity. THAT is settled science. AGW isn't even science anymore.

See, like you, if he was confronted with...

    ...the fact...

...that the global, empirical data isn't matching the AGW theory's projections, and, given...

    ...the fact...

...that the predictive models expected 2-3x less CO2 than has actually been released in the last 10 years, so we should be seeing 2-3x the factor in warming they predicted today, but aren't?

He'd have no answer, just like you have no answer. I don't know if he'd keep running the same nonsense/keep ignoring the facts, like you do. I'd like to think he's realize it's time for him to do his own work on the topic.

This line shows that you have no idea what you are talking about

Isn't this supposed to be about nukes and Iran?

  6. Shortsighted? Or, is it ideologysighted? Is it bubblesighted?

My contention is Obama's problem #1 is: he's never experienced anything like PPP in his entire life. A few hours here would benefit him immensely, because he'd get his ass kicked so badly + taking it all personally, that he would immediately set out to inform himself.

Sure, he has hired a few Rs, and he supposedly listens to the other side of issues. However, hiring someone, and then never speaking to them again, is doing it wrong. Listening, not to understand, but rather to collect intelligence on how your ideas are going to be attacked, and going into meetings not with an open mind, but with a belief in your own superiority in all things? Also doing it wrong.

No president since perhaps Grant, has done less of his own work on each issue/program in his policy. Obama defines parrot. Look at what happened when he tired to parrot Elizabeth Warren's speech on government infrastructure contributing to business success(which is like giving credit for a TD...to the football): we got "You didn't build that". That's not what Warren was saying. That's not what any reasonable D believes.

Yet, bubble-boy, who relies on everyone else to do the "details"(otherwise known as being personally familiar with the material and the issues), repeatedly Fs things up, and then blames everybody else("I got screwed by a website"). Hey clown: you know the best way not to get screwed by a website? How about knowing how to manage something, in general, and, doing the F'ing reading to know what to avoid.

Like I said: a few hours on PPP would force Obama out of his Valerie Jarrett bubble.

Maybe a few hours outside of PPP would help most of the posters here.....

  7. I would have no problem hanging a noose in the middle of every jail cell in the country... just to save some tax payer money.

hmmm, maybe the overpopulation propaganda is getting to me. As I get older, I start to notice just how many useless people are walking around.

Here is a little test...go back to the Cliven Bundy thread - a white racist pig who did not want to pay taxes and completely disregarded authority - and look at your postings. I would think many of the posters here were behind - at least the notion of his disregard for authority....and how is that different from this woman who you now want to throw in the trash bin. Tell me how you are not simply racist trash.

For the most part - you guys are simply small small people.

  8. Many of the GOP is good with a path to citizenship as long as the border is secured first.

I find this - not you - part of the lack of understanding of the voters. Illegal residence peaked in 2007 and has been declining ever since - down possibly as much as 20 percent - it was down 10 percent by 2011 - the last time a true gauge was taken. The US borders along Mexico have never been more closed - 38 Billion per year spent - and net immigration with Mexico now is ZERO, nothing, nada, we will have no more illegal Mexicans here next week, next month, next year than we have now.

    But many prioritize this issue.

At the same time - we seem content with a Health Care structure whereas we pay 2x what every other country pays to provide their citizens cradle to grave care.

    Hmmmph

  9. If the unthinkable happens and Sanders wins, I will stockpile canned goods, MRE's, ammunition, and convert my savings into gold coin. He'll make the Greek crisis look like a weekend block party.

Have you gone to his website - looked at the issues he outlines and come to this conclusion?

Interested to see your logic in how you come to this.....after all there still is congress....

  10. Please provide a link for your statement. You're making claims that I doubt are correct. While you are at it, lay off your weak liberal attempts to make fun of things your liberal mind obviously can't comprehend.

Typing on ipad so forgivevthe typos - awesome burn tho! Someone as well versed as you the subject should be well aware of US inceration rates vs the rest of the world....

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Incarceration_rates_worldwide.gif

  11. Once again your sophomoric views on drug abuse and drug dealing keep you blind to reality. You dismiss any connection between drug abuse and theft which solidly lands you in the clueless column.Your other argument is that somehow as a society it's a bargain to release all of the non-violent CRIMINALS(lmao) from jail because we all know that they will all magically become law abiding citizens and never break the law again. As I said in my earlier post, you need to scratch below the surface of these silly liberal points because they ALWAYS fall apart under scrutiny.Furthermore,I don't know why I am wasting my time here because I have come to realize I am arguing with people who are not only misguided but either 15 years old or unemployed people that sit around all day long posting on this message board.Good luck and enjoy the state checks,I'm done here.

So your saying the US is correct by standing alone with an incarceration rate many times higher than EVERY other country....is that compassionate conservatism or American Exceptionalism?

  12. Some may think that it would be better if a people didn't pick a fight with a police officer when they've been busted for dope, had their license suspended three times, was about to have it suspended again, and has a history of drugs use.

Causes you to end up in prison.

Are you one of those people who also has no common sense at all?

Everyone who gets arrested has done something....everyone...thats why they got arrested. You can look at this a couple of ways. Maybe one responsibility of jails etc is to insure the incarcerated are safe. Yes....We all know they should not be there in the first place...but they are.

Secondly....everyone of these incidents whether its this one or take your pick is horrifically expensive for us taxpayers. Maybe it would be better to stay away from this type of trouble with some preventative measures and training to save you and me some money,

  13.

Is it hip to be a socialist now? Because I remember a time when referring to the president as a socialist made me racist.

More to the point, over all the people who plan to run for president of the United States, you prefer the socialist? Beyond whining about the 1% and offering 'free' college education to everyone, what, exactly, does Sanders bring to the table that has you leaning toward socialism?
Frankly I just want to see him in a debate, and when he refuses to answer a simple question, have the moderator say "What's the matter, Colonel Sanders? Chicken?"

    Bernie's Platform

    1. Getting big money out of politics....socialist?

    2. Addressing climate change....socialist?

    3. Pro Gun rights.....socialist?

    4. Single Payer Health Care.....apparently you are happy paying 2x what the rest of the civilized world pays

    5. Lowering Cost of College....apparently you are cool with kids graduating from college with a mortgage

    6. Tax Reform.....socialist?

    7. invest in Infrastructure....Socialist?

    8. Trade Policy that take into account more than just corporations.....socialist?

Your comments are an inch deep - barely

  14. Do any of you guys have kids? Seriously - how many kids do you have? Sounds like most of you are just opining rather than speaking from experience.

I have two kids in college and due to my their endeavors - I have been lucky enough to spend the last 15 years with the younger crowd.

They have their heads on straight - straighter than most adults - I look forward them taking charge - be hard to do worse.

You think kids are....whatever....listen to yourselves......

  15.

No. They're Irish Catholics. They're not even real people, they're friggin' leprechauns.

Flummoxed by something you can't answer.....?

This is hysterical....are you more pious/real Catholics - as opposed to the fake catholic that bd obviously is - saying it is a sin to not vociferously oppose SSM of people who simply live in your country?

Do you have the same level of angst with divorce/cheating/ogling/lying/sloth/wanting too much money/ I must be missing those threads....
