  1.

Yes we are. And Trump is now saying that Barry was indeed born in the USA and that it was Clinton who was the originator of the "birther" movement.

DT just can't make a statement without adding an outright untrue element to it.

If he gets to be POTUS - that will definitely be an asset.

  2. I don't live in Buffalo anymore and don't follow the Sabres, but as inderstand it, the evidence for this statement is pretty slim.

Didn't keep you from commenting though..

Cleaned house, tanked, reloaded and the set stage for future.....

  3. John, you are tireless, and you're right that one game is too early to panic. The problem is that this one game was entirely consistent with what we saw last year, and the year before that, and so on. And to make matters worse, there is not a scrap of evidence that the Pegulas know how to fix it. None.

Pegs seemed to have fixed the Sabres

  4. I think way too many people watched the West Wing and mistook it for a reality show.

The world is full of dictators, bullies and thugs. Always has been. Today, one is literally a petulant sociopath child with nuclear weapons.

This isn't a world long for eloquent diplomacy. It's more for gunship/battleship diplomacy.

Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama have been on the wrong side of history a lot. Clinton missing Al-Qaeda. Bush with his Iraq circus. Obama with his Egyptian, Libyan, Iranian and Syrian circuses.

So its BO's circus that is the middle east? A region with a continuous history of religious and political strife? What do you suggest should be done?

  5. ..let's grab the internet putting it under UN control or whatever treaty this scumbag wants to use. MSN is a joke now the global community can't get it's propaganda out like it used to. Gotta plug that leak of truth that is the internet. Damn scary stuff these times.

I cannot believe the utter - I don't even know what the correct term is - irony/laughter/sadness(?) contained in this one post....

    You sir, win the day....

  6. No. The advanced countries are all struggling because they have relied on the belief that monetary policy could kick start a post debt-deflation world, while at the same time pursuing fiscal austerity. Meanwhile inequality continues to worsen--yes, even under Obama-- which means more money chasing risky assets when yields are near zero and going negative. You can't fix this economy with the failed policies of supply-side--cutting regulations and taxes on the top won't generate more business sales. This country needs some dramatic policy changes focused on stimulating consumption, and nothing will generate solid growth until that happens.

Bear in mind PPP is its own separate reality.....when people post with a straight face "growth is not governed by consumption"....

  7.

I'll agree with that. It must be awfully boring to constantly ask people "What is the GOP plan?" and "Where are the GOP bills?" and then when you are repeatedly provided answers to those questions, but realize they don't meet your leftist ideology, you quickly run back to the basement for another slice of mom's apple pie and a Yoo-Hoo.

    Very boring.

    GOP Plans:

    • Global warning - doesn't exist -check
    • Economy - Tax cuts for you, and for you, and for you - check
    • Health Care - Repeal the ACA and....check
    • Education - Leave it to the locals - check
    • Welfare: Let the Brookings Institution write it, give the money to the states in a block grant and watch them use it for the general fund - check
    • Immigration - ship them out - (well not really cause we need them) - check
    • Budget Deficit - huh - check
    • Social Issues - Stick head in sand - check
    • Voting - Pinch minorities and call it voter ID - check
    • Foreign Policy - Do nothing so you can complain about BO - check

    Am I missing something?

AFA my Mom's basement: Unlike most of the people remaining here - I don't hate my life, I have been very successful both professionally and financially, I have a profession and activities that prevent me from living every freaking moment of the day on this board trying to come up with yet another tired old worn out hot take that gets reinforced by the same 7-10 likeminded individuals living the same crappy life that has led you live every freaking day here at TBD PPP. AMIRITE?

I got here as a Bills fan several years ago and pop in for the comedy - as well all know - comedy has its origin in tragedy...you guys are tragic...pathetically tragic....

Back to your witty hot takes!!

  8. So what happens when you draw a red line, that isn't really a red line? You invite bad people to test where that red line really is.

So what is it worth to you to enact military action in the middle east? Seeing as military actions up to Post 9-11 were paid for both by taxes and a draft (except for Iraq 1) - are you ready to be behind a new payroll tax - or GST to pay for the action - and as well - are you willing to send your kid to the ME?

Are you on the phone to your elected representatives to get on the floors of congress, enact a new authorization for military action - or better yet - declare war...and then get behind paying out of your pocket for it...?

    I guess not....

  9. http://graphics.latimes.com/usc-presidential-poll-dashboard/

Interesting polling method. Instead of taking the traditional random sample of ~1000 for each poll they recruited a random panel of ~3000 and poll a random sample of ~400 of their panel every day asking the same 3 questions:

    (1) percentage chance you will vote in the presidential election

    (2) percentage chance you will vote for Clinton, Trump, or someone else

    (3) percentage chance Clinton, Trump or someone else will win

They're coming up with much different results than traditional polling methods

By traditional you mean the ones that are traditionally correct?
  10. So BO and HRC stink and by all accounts should not have won....or shouldn't win

Maybe the GOP loses the national vote because the majority of people don't like their policies...

The only reason the GOP holds the house is because of gerrymandering....the are vastly outvoted in aggregate congressional vote counts...

So after 2016...DEM hold the Pesidency, Senate, and GOP

    hold onto house via gerrymandering....

Sounds like a bigger problem than affirmative action via being female/minority

  11.

You're splitting points in hopes of being right with one of them. I'm not sure why, but here is what I hope will be my last retort on this as I have a full day ahead:

First, I argue Obama wouldn't be president if he were white because it's true, and it does not ignore his success and appeal because absolutely none of this happens -- his candidacy, his successes (be they as they may) nor his appeal -- if he's white.

All his education came from affirmative action. He wasn't getting into those colleges with the choom gang grades (which no one is allowed to see), but being of Kenyan descent opened doors just like being 1/32nd Native American opened doors for Elizabeth Warren: it looked good for universities to boast their diversity.

Did you ever review how Obama made it to his elected positions in the Illinois state senate? Was it his resume? His grades? His accomplishments?

No. He won his seats by getting dirt out on his competition. Getting divorce records unsealed. Look it up. He didn't win. He just made sure his competition lost.

Suddenly he is moving ahead in politics not because of anything he did, but because of the missteps of others.

By the time he gave his speech at the 2004 convention, the DNC and the media had precisely what Joe Biden meant when he called him "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."

Next the media jumped on board because there is a ton of money to be made covering the election of the first black president. No one cared that his executive experience was equal to that of a third-grader. It was time to make history. Get tingles. Get rid of red American and blue America and have a united America! He's LeBron, baby! He's got game!

It all went fine until he won the WH, House and Senate and immediately told the GOP to go phuck themselves.

And here's my ultimate point that you seem to miss: the minute anyone questioned Obama for his actions, it was because they were racist. Period. Just ask the Clintons.

By the time Nancy Pelosi walked arm-in-arm with black congressmen through the ACA protesters just to announce someone spit on the black guys, the DNC had their super weapon and the GOP was done. They had no nutsack to fight back against cries of racism. They still don't. Which is one of the bigger contributors to Donald Trump's role as Democrat running as Republican. Because the GOP has become a useless, feckless, cowardly bunch of pussified elected officials who ran away the minute the word 'racist' started...and it hasn't stopped yet.

Hillary is different. She didn't get anywhere by being a woman. She got everywhere by being married to Bill. She's only using her surrogates to say "If you have a vagina, you must vote for a woman" because we both know the Gloria Steinem-like headlines will keep the GOP at bay, and they will only increase with every day that passes through this election, and right through her presidency.

Wow - so well written its almost....

First - The GOP told BO to go phuck himself on the day he was inaugurated.

Second - So Bush got into Harvard, out of Vietnam, got a baseball team given to him Trump got anywhere....blah blah blah....affirmative action is ALL over the place whitey....I'll give more merit to HRC and BO's climb than to either of those two spoon fed clowns..

and C - Gotta work today? Huh.....go figger...

  12. Now branching out to making ridiculously stupid statemtents. It's good to diversify.

Tell me, were you this apologetic for Bush back when you were one of them crazy Republicans?

    Nope....he got stupid quick

Now get back to whatever you do......which is what?

  13. one was in office and a sworn officer of the united states.

She had nothing to do with it....emails werent to her or from her

Is your whole reason to be on this board to simply post ridiculously stupid questions? Because if it is, I have to admit, you're very good at it.

You're not very smart, not even the slightest bit, but damn, you can ask ridiculously stupid questions with the best of them.

With the amount of time you spend here...looks like I at least got a job that demands my attention and a life beyond it

What is stupid if you think inluence peddling is a HRC thing....

  14. Point of note: this is not out of the ordinary for the Clinton's. The..."partnership" between favored businesses and people and the State Department during Bill's administration that often diplomats in other countries (particularly those with a history of state-owned business) did not know the difference.

How to you compare that to the bribes...err contributions/strong arm/political coziness that Trumps dad used so well and Trump used to get his projects off the ground and full of tax credits.....is it that much different?
