He may get along by his coaching, but all the personnel decisions made this year have been
so bad. And even though Beane is GM don't think for one second that McDermott didn't
have his fingerprints over everything that goes on.
Who do you think is calling the shots, Pegula, Brandon? Please, they have as much knowledge
running a football team, as they do a hockey team.
I can't think of a single personnel decision that I wouldn't have done if I was in their shoes. They are shaping this roster to fit their philosophy. Me first guys are gone and they are set up for a great draft.

Have you watched the Jags play recently? They look very solid on both sides of the ball. They are not a joke. And the results from their recent games show that.
I have watched them and I stand by my prediction. They will fold when the playoffs start.

I don't know if they are or they aren't, but thanks to all those top five picks that they have had for years, their time table has certainly been sped up in terms of being a contender.
So, does Marrone look like a genius by kicking the Bills and the fans to the curb or is it just pure good luck?
What do you think?
They won't make it past the first round of the playoffs. Marone's decision to take an assistant coaching position was a direct act of mutiny against the previous HC. He knew he would get his shot and he simply lucked into a good situation by being sneaky. They still are not that good. They will lose their first playoff game.

Sadly, this season will be known more for the disaster it is 3-4 years down the road. The increasing number of excellent college players is slipping dramatically with each meaningless win in a Draft year where we’ve garnered so many high pics at such a great cost. ‘The Process’ is pure Fools Gold. We simply aren’t talented enough to be considered contending, and now we likely won’t be for a few more years either. QB, DE, DL, OL, RB & WR need upgrades and more than a few players played their last Home Game yesterday. Our wins this year were all unnecessarily close and gifted with multiple T/O’s and ridiculously long FG’s. Our losses? No T/Os and blown out of stadiums.
Even if we somehow receive a holiday miracle to break the 17 year streak for one more hour, we’re in worse shape talent wise than we were before ‘the Process’ started shredding the roster. I’ll go on record as saying we won’t make the playoffs and the result of this tease will negatively impact the team for years to come.
I love your unbridled optimism. Winning is always better than losing PERIOD. We are set up to draft well and this team has been a pleasure to watch this season.

if you honestly think it looked intentional I find that I little silly.... I had no problems with no flag there.
If you honestly didn't think it was intentional then you don't know Ndomokung Suh. There are no accidents when he makes a dirty play. It is always intentional.

I'm right here........and if Cutler didn't decide to be a turnover machine today, we would have lost.
McD was doing everything in his power to give this one to the Fins.
It was a great win when we absolutely had to win. If you can't enjoy this one maybe it's time to find another team.

Great first half and then again a terrible second half. Dennison and McDermott seem clueless after halftime and refused to continue with what's working and what is a lopsided game turn it into a nail biter.
Most pro coaches get conservative in the second half when they have a big lead. It's not unusual and it worked.

Have any of you been to the town/campus of the Bonnies?
Yikes...
I spent three years there as the Army Recruiting Station Commander in Olean. My parents are from there and I still have family that live there. Olean is a great place to live and St. Bonaventure is a beautiful campus. Have you ever been to Buffalo and seen the vacant buildings and slums? Yikes......

He didn't, so we'll never know. He didn't want to be here and now we have a better coach anyway IMO. McDermott seems like twice the man that Marrone will ever be.

Are the Bills bad or just not really good?
6-6 is decent.
Losing to the Patriots is hardly rare in the NFL.
But the 4 out of five losses, with the one win being against an apparently hapless Chiefs team seems pretty bad. Can't really figure out where this team is at.
They aren't that bad. Consistently poor QB play has cost us again this year. A good QB would make a world of difference for this team.

What exactly was his injury?

Wow. Just wow. That was just incredibly bad officiating. Unbelievable.

White QB big boy throw.
TT high pass
Racist much? Either way it's a bad throw.

Tyrod played like crap, but I believe it would not have mattered. Pats are just a better team.
-
LOL this is like a repeat of every Bills/Pats game for the last dozen or so years.
-
So predictable. I was driving my daughter to her soccer team Christmas party at halftime and I said. Pats score TD on first possession of the second half. Game over. It was really over with that pick Tyrod threw on the first possession. Have to play mistake free football to beat this team and TT has made too many poor throws in big situations already. Shame, because this was a very winnable game. Not anymore.
-
Another brilliant performance by Tyrod Taylor. This is another winnable game that we will lose due to poor QB play.

And so it begins.

Complete bull ****. Dennison may not last, but McDermott is doing a fine job and is here for the long haul. Better get used to him cuz he ain't going anywhere.

I agree with most of it.
I think horrible officiating is another factor that I would have included.
I like that they minimized the impact of the protests. I think any decline in viewership due to the protests has been very small. Obviously, that's just my opinion.
Lastly, I think social media has had an impact - and it's the players, themselves who have hurt the league. I think players like Richard Sherman, voicing his displeasure with the league and - pretty much - telling us how much he hates his job, hurts viewership. I'm not saying Sherman doesn't have legitimate gripes. I'm simply opining that the more fans see how unhappy the players are, the less fun it is to watch.
This is why I think bringing back TD celebrations was a good idea.
People want to watch good football (playing and officiating) and they want to see players having fun.
Can't say I agree that the protests have had little effect on viewership. I have a handful of friends who are die hard Bills fans. They are also veterans and have stopped watching and going to games as long as the players continue to kneel for the anthem. Two are even season ticket holders, but won't go or watch. This is just in my small circle of friends and there are about 5 guys I know who have done this. If this is just my little circle, I can't even imagine how many others have chosen to do the same things.

We don't beat NE. They are the better team and they will win. 6-6 and start planning for next week.

he earned the hate with the record-breaking defensive futility in our last 3 games before KC
Oh did he now? First year HC. Has team at 6-5 after 11 games with wins against both Atlanta and KC on the road. I'd say he's doing OK. Bound to be a few stinkers along the way. This team isn't exactly SB ready quite yet.
-
This one was painful, but I'll take it. Bills right back in the playoff picture.
-
Phantom personal foul. Game over.
So much better than a high Draft pick

Where are all the haters today? All of the Einsteins that wanted both Beane and McDermott fired halfway through their first season?
