Very interesting question but from what I have found. It looks like players can be put on IR if they are suspended but no mention of the other way around. This is likely so players can still receive treatment at the facilities while they are suspended as opposed to being away from the team while serving their suspension. However, I would imagine that the suspension might supersede the IR designation for this very reason (especially when he is already under investigation) so any time served on IR would not count toward his suspension and would start after his return from IR (again, I'm just guessing that this might be the case).

Opinions are like ass holes; Everyone has one. (No disrespect to Kelly but his opinion shouldn't matter). Yes he was a very famous former qb, that hasn't played the game in almost 30 years. It's a different game from when he played, harder even back then, so I don't see why they would all the sudden throw out what they have been working on for 2 months because of his comment. Dorsey likely already had a game plan in place while Daboll was still the OC in the he became the OC. The good OCs can bend, but Jim's comment was more of a "break" statement which I don't think will happen with the plan they have.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with what he said about the running. We heard it a bunch all last year about Daboll running allen on qb keepers. It's just his opinion like everyone else's on here but since it's him you think that all the sudden dorsey is going to throw them out? The only time I want allen running is 4th and short or when he's scrambling. But he's still going to get qb draws called and I live with it.

Established top QB's. That's the point right there. Allen has a bad practice no one bats an eye. Why, because he's an established top QB. Miami has been actively trying to replace Tua by breaking NFL rules and not paying a guy with 24 sexual assault charges what he wanted. All Mac had to do last year was play "small ball". Get ahead, lean on the run game and defense and don't make mistakes. He posted 1 game winning drive against the world beating Houston Texans. Of the two, I would expect Mac to improve at some point so I wouldn't discredit the camp reports on him but it's the same concept. He's not an established top QB so every praise and doubt can be scrutinized the same.

Well that would make sense since they are normally playing and don't have time to watch unless it's not during their games. When I think of last year when they did Allen's video it was only players he played against talking about him so it's not surprising that most of these players are judging them by how they played against them and not watching games/stats/highlights.

I can't argue with any of that but it was a comment about specific players vs non-specific players. I'm sure some of the young LBs could take over for Matakevich for sure. I don't know about Hodgins taking over for Kumerow. Could he at WR, sure. But could he also produce on ST is another question. And Jones at RB I completely agree with but the gunner definitely something he excels at. And yes, there are plenty of candidates to RETURN kick, the problem is a good amount of them are an unknown right now.

It's a balancing act for sure. The reality is even if they are good young players, there are other guys in front of them on the depth chart so their playing time is going to be limited unless there is an injury. If these players aren't taking over for the ST players you mentioned, then someone is going to have to play STs for them as well as defense/offense. It's how any time Hyde has to take a punt most people want him to just fair catch it to eliminate the possibility of him getting injured.
