  1. It's a damn shame. Makes sense though..

terrible mistake based on emotion if true

I honestly feel bad for Rex. loyal to the death. and i bit of respect for that. Not smart at all though if true. And i like Dunne

I respectfully disagree with that statement. Anyone who puts one person, over the team as a whole, is not loyal. Like the statement that has been quoted that he made a promise to Tyrod. Why in the world would a coach make such a promise? I wouldn't call that loyalty, i call that not having the courage to be a prick.

  2. I agree, we have to pay him less. He's not worth that amount, but he's worth keeping around for a lesser amount.

Low blow man, that's like telling a kid Santa Clause isn't real.

Kelly, along with a great defense, great running game, and great special teams, and a great backup QB helped this team get to the promise land. He was a big part, but definitely not the only reason why we were successful.

And 2 HOF receiver's. He didn't need to be all that accurate with Lofton, Just throw it up there and be sure to not overthrow him. Lofton was the best ever at adjusting his speed, so that he would always catch the ball in front of him. Not just keep running and watch the ball land short into the defenders hands like todays receivers do. I still think he was the best ever.

  3.

I take it you missed statistics for idiots 101. One data point doesn't make a meaningful sample and isn't representative of the entirety of the body of work from a player. Try looking back at ALL of the times they were in that position. Taylor was mostly ineffective. Empirical evidence supports your Miami game as an anomaly.

In all seriousness, I do not recall too many times the Bills defense was able to give the offence the ball back with 1:30 to 2 minutes remaining on the clock, then again I am getting old and usually had too much to drink by the 4th quarter. Since you obviously are a stats person, could you tell me exactly how many times TT was able to operate the 2 minute drill, and the result of each of those attempts. It is often stated as fact in TBD that TT sucks at the 2 minute drill, I have never seen anyone quantify such a statement. Thanks

  4. So the guy that's been there two years is more responsible for failure then a guy that's been there now seven seasons?

Whaley will eventually learn that those who live by the sword die by it as well. And Brandon will bring it down on him if ownership wakes up.

IMO, the Bills biggest problem, is its loosing culture itself. The Players get accustom to loosing and are not willing to make the sacrifices needed to win. I witnessed that in Saturday’s game. Some players were unwilling to fight for every inch of the field, weather it be on defense or offence, especially when it was needed the most. Some players are more concerned about protecting themselves, then getting a win. That’s a failure on the coaches’ part by allowing this selfishness to go unchecked. Players should be benched this week for their lack of effort and unwillingness to sacrifice for the good of the team during last week’s game. Rex was too soft and had to go. Anytime you hear the term “ A players coach” it means they are soft and will not hold players accountable for lack of effort. I honestly believe he underachieved with this team. He is not their leader; he is their friend. A recipe for failure IMO. I believe Marrone achieved more with a much less talented roster.

  5. why you say that? Truly curious.

Beat bad teams, lose easily to good teams, mentally weak, between 6-9 wins, no playoffs, no high draft picks, no QB...what in the world is different?

In the drought, Bills have won less than 6 games 3 times...that's it

I have seen a difference. It reminds me of the 87 season when they had a loosing record but were in most of the games until the end. You knew then, they were just a play or two away from winning a lot more games. I think the same way now, they are close.

  6. Just my opinion, but I honestly believe there is a good possibility that all this is really fabricated by the media. In the past, I really believed that RW allowed public opinion to influence his decisions. He always had to market the team and try to meet the demands of the customer. Its easy to stir up the mob when the team has been this bad, for this long. I wish I could be at the game to watch the pregame to see the interaction between Coach, GM and Owners. That would tell me everything I need to know. I found this quote interesting. "Maybe that's the grand plan here, to make Rex a sympathetic figure in case the Bills finish 9-7. Then they can go status quo and tell everyone it was the media's fault." almost sounds like the media is already making excuses if it was all fabricated. Time will tell.

  7. if the D doesn't allow career days to Fitzpatrick and ajayi, then this conversation most likely doesn't happen.

Exactly!! The Bills D gives up 37 points to the Jets. That's the Jets highest point production this year. And lets not forget what Defense allowed Jacksonville to finally score on an opening drive, something they could not do in the last 25 games. Thank God the Bills offense put up 28 points against Jacksonville. Could you imagine if the D allowed them to get 29 points??? Some fans would've wanted the whole offense to be **** caned.

  8. Don't be obtuse. The passing game is horrible in a league designed to assist passers. There will be times your team is going to need to pass the ball. There will be shootouts. This team is simply incapable in that regard

I agree that the passing game needs to improve. However, I believe that at the moment, he is the best option, and that they that they can win with him. He brings a dimension to the running game that that helps far more than people realize. He has to be accounted for at all time by the opposing defenses. It takes time and experience for the game to slow down for a QB, that is difficult when the Bills call the fewest passing plays per game in the league.

I believe TT can improve on his passing game. This was his second year as a starter, often the most difficult for a starting QB. I think the pressing issue is to fix the defense, not replacing the QB. Then make the decision on him next year.

  9. OK... This means absolutely nothing.

I disagree. IMO the defense is why they will probably not make the playoffs again. The offence is averaging 5.6 yards a play this year and averaged 5.7 last year. The last time they had anything better was in 91 with 5.9. Yes, they laid an egg on opening day, but they had losses even though they put up 31, 25, 25, 25, 24 and 20 points. The league average for points scored per game is about 22. For CS they they put up 25 points in Seattle, no team has put up more points in Seattle than the bills this year, but when the going got tough, the D caved in. I agree that TT needs to improve, and I think he will, but to put the seasons failures on him is crazy.

That's all I have to say about that.

    GO BILLS!!!!

  10. Mike and Mike on ESPN they had Adam Schefter on. They debated the potential firing of Rex and it was panned. Golic pointed out the guy is in year two and to fire him is bad. This is what bad franchises do. The topic of who in the organization that is planting seeds in the media about the potential firing was addressed. That person is self serving. Wonder who benefits most from Rex being fired? Last that if they do go 9-7 and fire Rex it means friction behind the scenes. The opinion is that Whaley and Rex are at odds on philosophy. The drama continues on One Bills Drive.

I think it's like the news in general today. Someone makes things up, just to stir the pot. It wouldn't surprise me if Kraft had one of his cronies putting out false information. I find it interesting that now, they are implying that it is Whaley doing it. Nothing kills a team quicker than this ****, and it started fairly early in the season.

  11. Bills 31

    Raiders 17

The Bills run all day against a defense that let Jonathan Stewart, who was averaging 3,3 yards a carry all season, average 5.6 yards a carry last week. Shady will avaerage 7 or better (fingers crossed). Then, just when the Defence is playing the run, they go deep to Sammy.

I'll take another pitcher of Kool-Aid please!!

    Go Bills

  12. This is the annual persecution by this board to run good players out of town causing us to expend high draft picks to replace existing players instead of using them to improve the team.

I agree, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the "supposed" Bills fans that post here are actually just trolls that are on Kraft's payroll.

  13. We're favored, we're at home, we're on a little hot streak, and it's a game we should win on paper.

    49ers 89

    Bills 3

That's exactly how I normally would feel. I seen something last Sunday that I had not seen in a long time. In the past 16 years, that fake punt would always work. I was shocked when it didn't, I watched in amazement while waiting for the flag to come out against the defense. Old habits are hard to break. As I said in my last post, the curse started with Fisher, and it ended last Sunday with Fisher. This is not the same old Bumbling Bills. ( At least that's the story I am sticking to for now)

    Bills 35

    San Fran 6

    Go Bills!!!!
