  1. I think each of their skill sets were pretty equal when Maybin played for this Bills. But they cut Maybins ass and Kelsay still makes it on the field every week.

Neither can generate any pass rush and kelsay's outside contain is just horrible. I have never seen a DE over pursue as much as Kelsay. In coverage its bad.

At this point, and with Maybin's recent success Maybin > Kelsay. And if he keeps on playing with the Jets his ceiling even might rise while Kelsay's is on the downfall.

What I am saying, Maybin wasn't providing the production or the progress they expected, yet he didn't make it on the field. Kelsay somehow lacks production year after year and he starts every week. I don't get it?

Chris will be 33 years old and has lived a charmed life with the Bills. Whatever quickness he had is gone this season. I think he represented to VERY UPPER MANAGEMENT what a solid citizen, good Christian and total hustle player represented to the franchise. He did really give his very best. I think he'll retire after this season. As a quality individual he knows it's over.

  2. Fred Jackson fired his previous agent and hired a new one this week. If this has been posted previously I apologize!

Fred was quoted as saying he wasn't happy with the extension he signed in 2009 and the way it was handled with the Bills. Let's be fair here. He's being treated by the Bills as a guy who is turning 30, has no big-time history in the NFL and is holding down the spot until CJ is ready to take over.

He's way too good to lose or make unhappy. Remember original free-agent Bills Pat Williams and Jason Peters?

  3. I sense Gailey is bringing in NEW TE's to see if they can help next season and is comfortable letting the kids play LB for the next 5 games as an audition for 2011. Why not? With 9 loses what have we got to lose? It's actually pretty smart!

  4. Too conservative, and yet the Bills have gone for it on 4th down as much as any other team in the NFL...17 times, tied with Dallas and KC for most in the NFL...also have the 5th fewest penalties on offense in the NFL as well..

great stats. If you just watch the game you can see something is much, much different on offense. I think those 2 are just pulling people's chains to get ratings. With the Sabres looking like bums what can they do?

  5. No I wasn't covering for him. I'm just saying, you can be injured doing most anything. Nothing worse than some Internet douche accusing a player of faking it.

I asked a question - did you see the video of his "re-injury" at his first practice here???????? Obviously the Bills have done all the X-rays, MRI's etc. since that time and nothing has come up. He's just going through re-hab at OBD as in the whirl-pool. Sad man - Sad.

  6. Everything on this team is still a mystery except that we know they can score points! The defense is bad regardless of the wins. The ownership is scary for all of us. The crazy relationship of Modrak, his scouts, Buddy, his scouts, Chan and Ralph preparing for a draft is beyond rationality.

When you have McCargo, Maybin & Merriman all sitting in the stands, not close to ever playing, getting paid as #1 picks and on the active roster it makes for a great, great novel.

  7. I tore an ACL walking down the street. Just stepped the wrong way in a small hole in the sidewalk.

Also, I sprained my ankle while lying on the couch watching football. It was a sports-related injury!

This was the re-injury at his first practice. Come-on man. Did you see it on the local news? If you did you'd be embarassed to cover for this guy! It looked fake, felt fake and if you listen closely to Chan you can tell what he thinks about the whole deal!

  8. Why is it when wehave a good thing here in Buffalo the first thing people want to do is break that up. Of course I am talking about Lee Evans and Steve Johnson. They work very well together, and this just in, (whisper) They are both playing very well.

SO why must we always want to break that up. Can we not just enjoy what we have here with a legit receiving group?

I dont understand it at all. This group is very talented and have been producing. Who cares who is number 1 or number 2. What I care about is that they are producing and feeding off of each other and doing it very well.

Can we please put a rest to the Trade Evans talk and just let him play and produce when called upon.

    (/rant)

    --------

I will also take this as a side to apologize to The Big Cat. You and I went back and forth about Fitz, and it appears you may be right. I know when i am wrong and it appears that I am. Fitz has won me over with that comeback against Cinci, and I am all for him being the Bills QB.

when you throw in the 2 Nelsons, Donald Jones, Spiller, Parish & Easley on IR you've got 8 pretty good receivers right now.

  9. If Maybin was in the game it was for very few plays. He just isn't big or strong enough for the NFL. I can't imagine why Gailey wanted to put Brohm in at the end of the game as he stated in his press conference. That made no sense at all. Fitz played his butt off with zero help from the line or his receivers (except for Nelson) and putting in Brohm would have been insulting to both players. Fitz did NOT cost us the game. Why didn't he say he was going to pull Kyle Williams, Poz or Kelsay and let kids play the final quarter on defense? It would have made more sense after the sad defensive performance we say today.

  10. I spent the morning looking at clips on Youtube and I have to tell you he is playing very well in Green BAY.

MOST OF THE CLIPS are blury but take a look for yourself. Most are fan videos or you have to watch a long highlight film to see A.J. Hawk in action.

So my opinion on the posible trade? DO it and DO it now!!

WEll, watch this clip and judge for yourself. Yes,this is college ball but I see no change in GB.

Problem is I doubt Green Bay would trade him even up for Marshawn.

A.J. would most likley be a defensive Captain in Buffalo!

he's another POZ - one step slow!

  11. I wouldn't say it's panic mode, what I'd say is that what he saw in Edwards in camp and preseason hasn't translated to the regular season with more complex defenses and full speed games. We've seen it many times over the past few years here in Buffalo, a great workout/practice player but is complete crap during an actual game. That was practically a drafting philosophy the past few years, best athlete not best player. So now, Gailey has to weed out the athletes and find football players that don't disappear during games. Unfortunately with this roster and this culture of accepting losing he came into it isn't going to be a quick fix. Like I told my buddy, if they are showing improvement by the end of the season like they are learning and Gailey hasn't lost the team that's better than now.

are you saying they didn't look at game film and didn't see Trent in full speed action? They knew what was going on. These are veterans - Nix and Gailey. Where else would they have jobs like this at their ages!

  12. Im not, and who is? We all expected a blowout, yet everyone is raging about the game and how we stunk. Yea we stunk, but we all knew it was coming. This team simply cannot put up points. Thats what it comes down to. The positive is that i think this was our toughest test of the year, and we got a shot at the Pats next week.

When I saw we were 13 point underdogs after only 1 game played I got the big picture.

  13. If you or anyone else out there can even attempt to defend the fact that Chris Kelsay is on the field, you're fing insane. It is maybe the most disturbing thing about this team. This guy shouldn't even be a depth player let alone a STARTER at LB. It makes me sick.

I have to agree 100% Why oh Why they put him on the field is mystery???

  14. Calls like that with the analysts calling a TD catch a "process" as if they are brillant will make the pro game more boring than it is already becoming. When things get too, too technical the average fan loses interest. The NFL game is getting way too boring. A strike is all they need. Make the field 12 feet wider and stop the goofy rules!

  15. So true. Lets look at Nixs record so far:

Cornell Green-worst free agent signing in years

Spiller- luxury pick we couldnt afford, already had 2 starters + Bell

QB-Does nothing to upgrade worst QB in NFL and hated by fans, not respected by the players

OT- Does nothing, besides Cornhole, to improve position, actually by cutting Scott made it worse

    OLB-no improvement, Kelsay? Really?

Nix made this team worse his first year.

If we started a poll on this board to determine our draft, free agents and cuts i think we'd do a better job than Nix, cant do any worse.

Sadly it is a poor record so far. Green was an embarassment Sunday to the Bills uniform. How could any scout not know he couldn't be left alone on the corner???? A nine year veteran needing help.

  16. Kelsay is a shining example of the dis-function and poor decision making of the Buffalo Bills organization the past ten years. He was the starting DE because we have no one better and they have not addressed this position properly in the draft which is why he has kept his job over the years. In terms of DE he would a 2nd to 3rd string player on most teams. In terms of playing linebacker, he should not be even on a NFL team.

Agree 100% He and Denney made a nice living in a Buffalo uniform and never, ever were NFL quality starters.

  17. What is the wonderlic test prove?

How smart a player is? The only reason the test scores may make a difference is a low score may send off warning signals to a team that that player might have trouble learning the playbook

McKelvin had a 13 score. I still don't know if he is coachable.
