Broncos starting OT Ja’wuan James tears his Achilles
Malazan replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm *sure* the NFLPA will be there to do something useful for him. They are such an effective entity after all. DeMaurice Smith is truly not a stunning failure whose strategy of negotiate on money and litigate on everything else has been a true success after losing just about every single case he was behind bringing against the NFL. That time was well spent versus doing something that might have given players a better choice. Seriously, I've witnessed few unions that are as impressively bad as the NFLPA and it not be on purpose. -
Jets fan argued that Hackenburg might be a great QB because they never saw him play a down... ya know, until he was out of the league. Stidham has an advantage in that he's played a few downs to remove doubt.

If you draft 1 starter a year then you're not going to be a very good team.

except you jumped in with a statement about what you were referring to...you weren't in the conversation. You don't need a strawman of saying I said you couldn't join the conversation. You jumped in a way that doesn't make sense as if you were directly referenced. Worse, you didn't even respond to anything I said. My statement was that in direct relation to someone saying that the Bills strategy was to draft tackles so they could overpay Edmunds and you teed off on Edmunds level of play which would be mostly irrelevant. If there's something you're dying to say about Edmunds level of play then just say it. It's not something I was discussing. To make sure it's easy for you, I was discussing the absurdity that the Bills draft strategy is around making sure they can overpay edmunds.

The 1st 2 picks didn't play half the season. Becton looked good when he did and Mims showed some promise, but the rest of their picks were not very good. Davis and Zuniga had trouble getting on the field on a 2-14 team. Perina may not make their roster this year and it's not a difficult roster to make at RB. Morgan will never see the field. Clark is still injured I think. Bryce Hall showed some flashes and end up being decent, but he was hardly impressive. So if drafting 1 player he's going to be a starter (if he doesn't get injured...again) is a strong 'draft' then I guess that statement is true. Otherwise, it seems a bit much.

Falcons declining fifth-year option on TE Hayden Hurst

for 1 season? I could get behind a 3rd day pick (4th contingent on resigning him, if not later). I wouldn't want to give up a 2nd day pick. -
Seems to be one of those guys who's realized if you say everything is **** then you'll generate a lot of attention

Best 5 Offensive Lineman Could Be Interesting
Malazan replied to All I Need is Hope's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So a rookie's inexperience could be a problem that causes the Bills to take a 'step back', but you're banking on a... rookie to come in and immediately be the difference between making it to the AFC championship game and winning the Superbowl. This board has lost it's collective mind. -
They've tried to replace Levi, but I don't think they're quite as dedicated to it as the fans are.. fans are too latched on to certain players and that THEY MUST AT ALL COSTS BE JETTISONED FROM THE TEAM OR THE DOOM OF THE WORLD WILL BE UPON US simply because they're not the 'best' or have holes in their game. If Dane Jackson can't beat him out for the job then it doesn't seem like the Bills staff is too concerned about him being their starter.

You being 'sold' on guys does not change what Beane's plan is.. This is gonna hurt, but better someone tell you now.. you being sold on anything matters to no one.

I certainly didn't open expecting something entirely different.. >_>

Matt Patricia was the one leading their draft this year. Sounds like he's taking over. -
This board was a fount of knowledge and rationality

Have we fired Beane because of his 5th round pick yet? Won't watch another moment of the Bills until he's gone! -

This board might actually be worse than when they were losing.
