Sounds crazy but Jon Feliciano might not re-sign
CSBill replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would guess Feliciano's future with the Bills is directly tied to how the Bills fell about Ike Boettger. They're not going to give up on Ford yet. It seems as long as he is healthy he is penciled in at a Guard spot. Morse is locked in at Center. Boettger had a decent run at the end of the season--they have plenty of game tape to evaluate his potential now. Plus, he has also worked at Center. So if they believe he can start at Guard and be a legit option at Center, it feels like Ike is a cheaper but equal option over Feliciano. Jon F. may be the odd man out??? Add to that, super-sub Ryan Bates is always waiting in the wings (is he ready to compete for a starting spot?). And, they resigned Devey for Insurance. .... I really like Feliciano, but the stars are not aligning for him. I hope not, but I would not be surprised. -

The Cap space thing reminds me of an Elvis Costello song Why don't you tell me 'bout the mystery dance? I want to know about the mystery dance . . . . 'Cause I've tried and I've tried And I'm still mystified I can't do it anymore and I'm not satisfied Admittedly, I do not understand the Cap thing, other than it limits how much money any team can spend, and sometimes you have to cut high-paid players or let them walk to stay under it. But it seems to me, that guys like Milano who are entering Free Agency this year are not going to have too many options. The general message is, teams have little room to resign or bid for free agents. Where are all these released and FA players going to play? A guess a few teams with the cap space will have a chance to get real good real fast. And many players are about to be really disappointed, or short sell on undervalued one-year contracts, or start looking for gainful employment out of the NFL. Like I said: " Cause I've tried and I've tried, And I'm still mystified" -
Could the Bills be looking to incorporate a Thug OL?

How about that kid from Notre Dame, .... or the dude from USC, .... or that thug from Miami ? ? ? -
The idiot here is Meyer. It didn’t take too long for his narcissistic self to shine through in his new gig. “Urb, this is the NFL, not like the usual big time and isolated-from-any-control college programs you normally lead. No boosters to cover for you here.” How many black FAs will choose to play for him? Answer, little to none. They should fire him now if they really want to make a statement.

Re-sign or “Wave Good-bye” series: Player 5 - Jon Feliciano
CSBill replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bottom line: Sure, we all would like to upgrade and get better at the guard spots. But if there is no easy or obvious path to that, Feliciano is a good consolation prize. He's proven he is capable--not the best, but certainly good. He is versatile--I would not be disappointed at all if he moved over to become the starting center (if Morse is let go). And he is a process guy, trusted by his teammates and the coaches. If the financials work out, the Bills can keep him and still upgrade the o-line with one or two other additions. I hope he does stay in Buffalo. -

Relax, just being funny. Is it too soon? Except about the Stefanski issue, your anecdotal reasoning doesn't convince me.
