  1. His career is over.
  2. I love it when people claim they're not a fan of so-and-so, and then proceed to give a dissertation on how they're not while still telling you how great so-and-so is. Isn't there a term or saying for that?
  3. Apparently the "holdup" in signing Maybin was because his agent, Joel Segal, was too busy with Michael Vick's deal and only started seriously negotiating just 3 days ago. How pathetic is that? http://www.wivb.com/dpp/news/maybin_celebr...th_bills_090821 I don't know if I should still blame Maybin. Although I'm amazed that Maybin hasn't fired Segal over this, considering it cost him training camp, 3 pre-season games, and a lot of ill-will, for a contract that is 3-5X the size of Vick's, if not a lot more.
  4. Equal or better numbers than 5-years, $25M, with $15M guaranteed?
  5. Neither does any other team.
  6. Just as I figured: Obama is talking out both sides of his ass. On the 11th, he told a group of town hallers that Medicare is a great government-run program. The next day, he tells another group of town hallers that it and Medicaid will be bankrupt in 8 years because they're "unsustainable." I'm sure adding another 88M to the public dole won't be a big deal, eh?
  7. Good to hear all went well. Will have the fingers crossed on the polyp, but it's probably nothing to worry about.
  8. Taking Raji's and Moreno's numbers and slotting both Maybin and Crabtree exactly between them, Maybin was in-line for a $24.833M deal with $14.667M in guaranteed money. Looks like he basically got the total portion, although we don't know how much guaranteed money he got. But these numbers were known a little over a week ago. Maybin will miss 3 pre-season games and missed all of camp. IMHO that's inexcusable. He's got a lot to prove.
  9. More like morse codes you.
  10. Are you kidding? He now has to prove that the holdout didn't do irreparable harm to his rookie season.
  11. "Limit his playing time" further than it's already been? Is that possible?
  12. Hit him, no, crush him, early and often.
  13. I heard Peters wasn't going to play tonight.
  14. I'm still laughing at the suggestion that the Bills are "laughingstocks" because Maybin is hitching his wagon to the Crabtree gravy train (in vain) and the Bills haven't caved-in on overpaying him. If any team if the laughingstock, it's the Raiders for not only reaching for DHB, but severely overpaying him.
  15. If that were Trent, his career would be over.
  16. Yet we should believe the word of a "24 year old (prodigy, no doubt) doctor," right?
  17. I know this wasn't directed at me, but I'd expect him to "naturally" put on as much weight as Orakpo did from the time he was 21 to last year. IOW about 15# more.
  18. Funny how the oil companies have been allowed to run amok.
  19. I pay too much for razor blade cartridges. I need a special investigation into Gillette's finances.
  20. You'll probably get the Michael Jackson special, i.e. Diprivan, instead of midazolam. It's much better. And everyone can stand to not be FOS...at least for a day.
  21. Sorry, I should have said "[the best]...they can afford." Again, it's the same in everything. You want the best [you can afford], you'll pay more for it, whereas if you don't, you get what you [don't] pay for. HR 3200 will lead to rationing as more people enter the system and drain it of resources.
  22. Most people don't shop for health care based on who is the cheapest. They want the best, for obvious reasons. If you want the best, in anything, you pay more for it. If want the cheapest, you get what you pay for. Which is the problem with HR 3200.
