  1. Lovely. Ever bother to read any of the replies to my comments? Hammurabi
  2. Hope your thread does better than mine. here come the 3-4 defenses
  3. It's enough that it makes sense to you. Don't stretch...
  4. Good point. How about the QB numbers for THE NINE FREAKIN' LOSES? Forget the 49ers, Browns and Patriots?
  5. I'm pretty sure that horse is way beyond dead. Got anything on the actual intent of the thread?
  6. Sorry, CC, but the av's identity is classified. Only the literati know.
  7. OK, you win. Edward's decent game against the Chargers completely belies the notion that the Bills passing game in 2008 was impotent. BTW, did you understand most of the words in the thread title and subtitle?
  8. I watched every play, and enjoyed the game immensely. It was, however, NOT an showcase for the Bills passing game. Edwards managed the game adequately, the defense was very good, and the Chargers turned the ball over. The thread was about the shortcomings of the Bills passing game, especially lack of TDs. Are you arguing that Edwards was like Dan Fouts in 2008? Dan Fouts and Air Coryell
  9. iTunes streams WGR550 (it's under "radio" and "sports" ).
  10. The Chargers turned it over to the Bills twice on fumbles and Mitchell had an INT. Bills v. Chargers
  11. Parrrrdon me, 261 yards passing and 1 TD pass (2 yards to Evans). Screaming! Mea culpa.
  12. HOF on first ballot, right there. Never mind the puke-ish outings versus the 49ers, Dolphins and Patriots during the total season collapse. Selective Memory Syndrome strikes again.
  13. So true: The top team for rushing TDs was the Panthers with 30. The worst were the Browns and Bengals with 6. The Bills were right in the middle with 16. I guess that's some kind of comfort...
  14. The Bills were hapless against the 3-4 defensive front seven. Most notably, they lost all 6 games in the Division. The Jets and Dolphins are 3-4 for sure. Belichick has been messing with the 4-3 during the pre-season, but I'm betting we'll mostly see 3-4 on 9/14. Tonight will be more-or-less of a typical schlockfest against the Packers, but next week will be the traditional "meaningful" pre-season game against the tough Steelers. Let's see what the Bills brain trust has come up with to deal with the most glaring of all their shortcomings. I hope their answer isn't passing out rosaries at the home games.
  15. Perhaps that's why I said ...and YES, the TL Tech is a super fine ride. What are you driving?
  16. Edwards was sloppy but effective enough to win against the pathetic Seahawks (1 TD pass, to Royal, the other was by Moorman to Denney), Jags (1 TD, to Hardly), Raiders (1 TD, to Parrish), Rams (1 TD, to Evans), Chargers (1 TD, to Evans), the Thundering Chiefs (2 TDs, to Reed and Schouman), and Broncos (zero TD). I guess you could say that he spread the ball around. Also, those are some horrific opponents. Are the presence of Terrell Owens and the shiny, new look no-huddle offense really going to turn Edwards from a Ford Pinto to a Acura TL? I'll believe it when I see it.
  17. Besides Jim Dunaway, which other Bill lost a wrongful death civil law suit over the death of his wife?
  18. Yes, and here's why: After calling out Donovan McNabb for being "soft", Owens cannot possibly malinger without looking the supreme hypocrite. He knows, as does everybody else, that he needs to get on the same page as Edwards, yet it's been about two weeks. This is especially true since the Bills are implementing a somewhat radical change, namely the no-huddle. Edwards may actually be changing plays at the line.
  19. I guess one way of looking the holes is, are they so insignificant that the Bills go 19-0, or are they significant enough to result in another 7-9. I think they may keep us 3rd in the Division (maybe last again).
  20. Wrong. Money will be small consolation when they learn that I don't like them. It will gnaw at their psyches day and night...
