  1. 100% agreement. I just hate the Tampa 2 soft zones without any pressure on the QB. Sure, If you've got Sapp, Rice and Brooks, it's genius. If you've got Kelsay, Denney and Williams, it's stupid.
  2. BTW, take it from a long time AZ guy, The Mighty Taco is cat food...at best...
  3. Anyone remember the Mighty Taco adds on WPHD radio? Me neither...but I try really hard...
  4. TBC: Good for you! You show the ability to state your opinions. If Nelson doesn't see playing time, that means Jauron has shut down the offense, as usual. Everybody is better than Royal, except maybe me. I also don't see what Ellis had to do with 2008, except that the FO drafted him for some obscure reason. Actually, they thought he was going to be Maybin...ha, ha Maybe Maybin is better than Denney in certain situations. Maybe Maybin is another obscure tweener soon to be forgotten or relegated to special teams for 7 years. The thread topic is whether the 2009 Bills will be better than the 2008, NOT the posturing of the FO. Finally, my knowledge of football far exceeds your ability to puff yourself up, as will be shown.
  5. It's such an effing set up... Frewell has to find a way to get Rusty Tom down onto the turf. Maybe offer 72 virgins to the DEs, or something... Are there 72 virgins left in Buffalo?
  6. BF89: I hope you're right. If he becomes a Derrelle Revis, that's obviously great. About Jauron/Frewell: I hate the way the play the corners so soft. Maybe it's my problem, but it makes me puke.
  7. To me, our difference is mostly about Greer. My opinion: Greer was just coming into his own. That's what the Saints saw, and that's what I saw. End of story right there. Youboty = undependable, totally undependable Drayton Florrence = If he makes the team, shame. McKelvin = Great, raw athletic skills, but doesn't have a clue in single coverage. If he's coach-able, and the Bills have a coach (cough, cough) he might be good somewhere up the line.
  8. Can you even imagine the festivities at The Razor? Can you even imagine the TV commentators? What would you give to see the Bills pull THE UPSET?
  9. Translation: 9/14/09 @ 7:00 PM. I'll be happy if Brady only completes 3 TD passes to Moss in the 1st half, and I'll declare a moral victory if the final score is Patriots 54, Bills 20.
  10. There was a place in Gardenville called The Deerhead Inn. Beyond rustic, but, wow, did they ever have a great yellow pike fish fry. I hope that's still going. Are those two "Tops International" markets still kicking? Those were very fine. Whoa...if oregano is "decent pot", maybe. Otherwise, I just have to differ. Last time (and I mean LAST TIME), I went to Canada, the little, pig-faced Hitler in the booth on the Canadian side of the Peace Bridge asked me where I was going. I told him, "Niagara Falls." He asked, "What are you going to do at the Falls?" I answered, "Look at the Falls." He went ballistic, and sent me over to the goon squad to tear apart my car for a couple of hours. I guess he didn't like American guys with nice cars traveling with beautiful blonds.
  11. Pulling your chain. John McCargo was supposed to be a speedy 3 technique DT, so we didn't need Haloti Ngata. Hasn't quite worked out, yet...
  12. Aren't you going to mention how McCargo is going to become Haloti this year?
  13. What's the most entire games in a row that Ashton has played? What's the opposite of Iron Man? Florence is a TD machine, and Leodis gets tangled up in double moves. He's a great athlete, but...
  14. Maybe the new O-line could work out, but during training camp they'll be practicing against the the Bills soft 4-3. The Bills don't even have a NT or any tough DEs. How does the new O-line prepare? Not only that, But Dick is far from intense during training camp and practices. Watching film is about 10% of the battle...
  15. We'll know for sure pretty soon (9/14/09, at 7:00 PM). My feeling is that the Bills went from actually mediocre to potentially mediocre. Peters v. Walker cancels Owens v. nobody, so it's is a draw, except that Owens in one and done. (Preston&Fouler) v. Hangartner = Why do I keep thinking about Larry Tripplett? ...but couldn't be worse, so OK Greer v. (Mckelvin&Youboty&Florence) = pretty big step backwards [Dockery& Butler (to RT)] v. Eric&Andy = step backwards (at least for a year). Nelson v. Royal = just OK (Maybin&Schobel's back) v. (Denney&Ellis) = OK "Thug Mode" v. D. (for DUI) Rhodes for few weeks = a little down Ellison v. (Ellison&Harris) = still screwed Ko v. Jairus = so what? Edwards returns = who the eff knows? At least the boat anchor is gone. Fewell returns = still stuck with the Marshmallow Menace Schonert&Kugler return = "The Lindell and Moorman Show" returns Jauron returns = Dancin' At the Zombie Ball 2009 v. 2008 strength of opponents = Should I cancel Sunday Ticket?
  16. The buck stops at Ralph Wilson's desk. HE CREATES the FOs, and for that matter, has previously DESTROYED other FOs. As for the Bills 2nd round draft choices: * Travis Henry * Aaron Schobel * Ryan Denney * Josh Reed * Chris Kelsay * Roscoe Parrish * Paul Posluszny * James Hardly -after The Bills have had CHOICE first round draft picks since the 2001 draft. Here's the harvest: * Nate Clements * Mike Williams * Willis McGahee * J.P. Losman * Lee Evans * John McCargo * Donte Whitner * Marshawn Lynch * Leodis McKelvin Starting to see while the Bills still do not a the core for a playoff team? Between the busts, the disappearos, and the so whats, we have the core of a 7-9 team. One step forward, 1.5 steps back.
  17. Here's how I rated the Bills 2008 O-line: By "serviceable" I meant that they were not the weakest link in the Bills chain. I do think the weakest links in the 2008 Bills chain (just talking players; don't get me started on the coaches and FO) were the receiving corps and the front 4. I think the 2008 O-line would have been good enough, together with Owens, Evans, Reed and Nelson, to permit the Bills to light it up a little, and give Moorman a rest. I will be happily shocked if Maybin and the return of Schobel keeps Tom Brady awake at night.
  18. Anyone remember what the fountain in Martin Luther King Park used to be?
  19. The Bills have had CHOICE first round draft picks since the 2001 draft. Here's the harvest: * Nate Clements * Mike Williams * Willis McGahee * J.P. Losman * Lee Evans * John McCargo * Donte Whitner * Marshawn Lynch * Leodis McKelvin That should have been the core of our playoff aspirations. Pass the Mad Dog...
  20. I feel lucky because I have the Heart Attack Grill. Two pounds of great, greasy meat, slobbered up with cheese on the Quadruple Bypass burger. Fires fried in PURE lard. shots of tequila. Nurses in nano shorts. Ambulance out front. Check it out: heart attack grill
