Yep - me too! Then we could focus on D in the draft.
I'd definitely still take two WRs, one with a high pick. Gotta have cost controlled skill positions on offense.

Sign two of these players, and then draft two receivers.
Two from the FA list! I like it.

Don't understand extending Dawkins. Obviously I don't have all the contract details. I'm sure it saves them cap this year. I just wouldn't tie my hands to him for that many years. He's been up and down for the last few years and has never been elite.
That said he has mostly been healthy and many LTs play well into their 30's.
Hope it was the right move and I will give Beane benefit of the doubt on this one.
I expect in his final years he could kick inside to guard as well, but hopefully not for a long time.

Is that the fake schefter

He's their lynch pin. Bummer.

One thing that I found odd about all of this was the report that McGovern was moving to center. Why release that information? It just was odd to me? I mean the Bills have suspended reporters for releasing lineup information at training camp. This one is odd.
Perhaps a half hearted attempt to pretend they're not in the draft market for a center.

They're the primary reason we haven't won it all. It's not going to go away unless we get that trophy.
That said, in my phase of life I watch the games and frequent this forum, and that's it.

I expect von to have a very good year next year. That will hurt the cap number, but maybe it won't feel so bad if he's a difference maker.

My hope is Rapp deal has no guarantees so we locked him up as a back up plan. If they can sign guys off this list then you cut Rapp unless the deal is incentive based meaning if he is not your starter he is only making $1.5-2M.
Do we have details on that contract yet? Total head scratcher yesterday. He's not a starting safety imo. Perhaps a big nickel.

Surely we don't plan to have Rapp as a starting safety in a conventional two safety package?
-
I hope it's for big nickel. But weird move, Beane.

I already liked the Bates trade, but now I REALLY like it.
Between VanDemark, Edwards, and Alec Anderson, our OL depth is off to a good start.
As for Edwards...any time you can sign a capable guard (who also essentially plays tight end in jumbo sets) to a fair deal, it's always a good day.
Congrats, David "TE3" Edwards.Any it could be my rose colored glasses, but I loved Gouriage last offseason...

Holy $***! Did not expect this.
Beane is not being sentimental or emotional, but cold and calculating. If we want to win this attitude is required. I'm not necessarily agreeing with this specific move (and not arguing against it either) but the approach in general
Well said.
And wow at this release.

That's a good trade for the bears. Shame, I don't like losing any OLine talent.

I don't know how to feel. This seems like a good hire on paper, and it'll be good to get some more outside perspectives working with Allen.
Seems like you might feel good?

I am so sorry, Scott. My condolences.

Ravens held them to 17, if only our D did the same.
Our offensive performance against their defense was more impressive than their offensive performance against our defense.
Just a bummer we didn't get it done.
