Sixers. I became a fan when they drafted Charles Barkley. Continued through the Iverson years. Honestly, I don’t pay much attention to the NBA these days. Been watching some of the playoffs though. Finals have been entertaining. I’m pulling for the Knicks.

Man on Fire on Netflix was a pretty solid action series. It’s a series based on the movie with Denzel Washington. The main character in the movie is even named John Creasy. Anyway, loads of a** kicking, high speed chases, and explosions. The end gets kind of “tedious,” but overall very entertaining.

Yeah, I’ll watch. It will be free on Paramount+ so why not? I think Max likely beats the brakes off of McGregor. I’m probably more interested in the BSD/Paddy fight if I’m being honest.

It’s What’s Inside on Netflix was a really entertaining watch. Sort of a thriller/comedy movie that I found to be really fun and interesting.

The jumpscare, demon/ghost stuff doesn’t really do it for me … psychological horror is my alley.
Obsession, Smile 2, It Follows are probably my top horror movies of the past few years.
Different strokes for different folks. It Follows was awesome, IMO. Have you watched Bring Her Back? One of my favorite newer horror flicks. Midsommar? LongLegs?

The only thing I'm curious about is how much money they were paid to look like fools in plain view of the entire world.
I read somewhere that while the exact payouts to Menery and Manziel weren’t publicized. Bob Menery, on a podcast, suggested that it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 200K per fighter. Give or take.-

If you’re into horror, Obsession in a theater is a must.
Most insane, deeply psychological, utterly terrifying movie I’ve seen in a long time.
Wow. Taste in the horror genre is so diverse. I saw Obsession in the theater tonight. It was okay. Wasn’t really scary to me at all. Everyone’s flavor is different. Undertone left me far more disturbed and feeling unsettled. Looking forward to The Backrooms this coming Friday. -

Good to know, I was going to send you a souvenir teeshirt for Christmas, but I’ll look for something else special.
If it was on TV in front of me, I’d have looked. If I had gone looking for it and paid money, I wouldn’t tell anybody. But that’s just me.
It was streaming for free on a number of different platforms including YouTube. I didn’t watch the fight live. I watched the whole 3 minutes of it this morning. Total trash. I think I could probably take Menery out fairly quickly too. He’s so slow and uncoordinated.-

I just peeked into this thread and wanted to add Bugonia as a very good movie with terrific performances by Emma Stone and Jessie Plemons. Very different kind of movie and I really liked it. Its on Netflix now.
I thought Bugonia was the best movie of 2025. Jesse Plemmons and Emma Stone both with Oscar award worthy performances, IMO. Very dark and interesting.-

It’s on my list. Hokum and Backrooms too.

I’d swap Benson and Krebs. That 3rd D pair needs to be Stanley and Timmons. Lyon in goal. Let’s get to game 7.

Marty Supreme is now streaming for free on HBO Max. Highly recommend.

I just got home from the game. I would say the crowd was ~15-20% Sabres fans. I brought my 16 year old son and had no issues with the Bruins fans. Except for on the way out there was this one guy who was saying “F you” to every Sabres fan he passed. I just laughed when he said it to me in passing. I said to him “I would feel that way too.” and he just smiled and laughed.
The Bruins fans were very hard on their team. I could sense their trepidation even before the 1st period puck drop. Booing constantly throughout the game. They were handing out “rally towels” to everyone and those eventually started to be thrown out onto the ice. The barn was half empty at about 10 minutes left in the 3rd. The Bruins looked atrocious. My son and I went with some friends who are Bruins fans and it was so ugly I almost felt bad for them bc of the money they spent on the tix.

No. The Canes won the Metro and the EC with 113 points and will face W2 (Sens).
The Sabres won the Atlantic and will face W1(Bruins). Win/lose tonight doesn't change a thing. I wouldn't be surprised if the Sabres rest some players. Why play them in a meaningless game.
Looks like neither Thompson or Dahlin are playing.-

Is there anything to play for tonight?

I would throw my television out the window if Tyson and McDonald go 24 and 25. 😢

Lost In Translation is a good movie, although it got far more love than it really deserved. A Best Picture nomination from the Oscars? Really?
Murray & Johansson both do a good job, but I wasn't thinking....."OH MY GOD! This is one of the greatest movies ever made!!!""
I agree fully with this assessment, but Lost in Translation mentioned in a thread about least favorite movies ever? I don’t see it, but again, everyone has their own perception/opinion. 🤷🏾♂️ -

The Kings tried to match Buffalo’s style, and they did well for a period, but then they finally broke. Kudos to Zach Benson, Norris and Doan who were spectacular. Stanley with yet another solid game paired with Metsa. Obviously UPL with a great game under heavy fire for much of it.
Huge statement game tomorrow.

Finally getting around to watching "The Pitt".
Four episodes in.....sems like a grittier version of ER.....funny that Noah Wylie was the medical student on ER, and now he's the big boss teaching the new medical students on this show.
Like the format that each episode is an hour on the same shift...pretty cool way to do it.
Wife and I just finished S1. Very good show. Definitely a grittier version of ER as you describe. The last couple episodes of S1 had me white knuckled in my recliner. 😬-

A lot of really good movies in this thread, IMHO. Bugonia?? Lost in Translation?? The Room?? 😂
To each his/her own I suppose. I’ll offer up The Happening. I took my wife and her sister to see this in the theater. One of M Night Shamaladingdong’s offerings. This is the only movie I can recall being so bad that we walked out after about 30 minutes.

Not streaming but I went to see Undertone in the theater last night. Going to be a very controversial horror film. I loved it but had to process the ending for a while afterwards. A couple people left the theater really disappointed. I’ll be curious to hear others’ reactions.

Maternal Instinct, new documentary on Netflix was very interesting and disturbing. I can’t believe I didn’t hear about this in the national news when it happened.
