I’ll explain again.  It’s OK to be happy about the win, but to also acknowledge the team did not play well.  It’s OK to acknowledge all Bills fans love having Josh as our Qb but acknowledge his throwing picks so much is a bad thing.  And so on.  These are not mutually exclusive.  And that is reality.

We won, that’s great.  But we cannot expect to play like that again.  We were fortunate to win; the next effort like that and the season is done.

Well, then thanks for your laser sharp insight, captain obvious.  🙄

Did you end up going? I grabbed a $50 ticket at 4:30 and went. Surprisingly cheap for a Bruins game.

Nope.  I was ready to pull the trigger when my wife reminded me that my son had team pics at hockey practice.  Bummed I missed it.

  3. Man, I’m really tempted to grab the boy out of school and make the 3 hour drive to TD Garden for the game.  Tickets are unusually cheap right now.  8 rows up in the upper level but center ice going for $80.  Every time I’ve looked before they’ve been $150-$200.  🤔

Some of the worst cheesesteaks are ones I have had in Philly. How do you go cheese whiz over just a nice melted provolone?

Provolone will do, but the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever eaten have had Cooper sharp american.  It’s got the creamy sweetness of American, but also aged for a bit of sharpness.  Very nice 👍

That said, the whiz is not terrible with quality chopped ribeye, a solid roll, and some sautéed onions, IMO.

That's the old Grist Mil, right? Grist Mill used to be a must visit for playoff hockey and Goombay Smashes after a day of spring skiing. Haven't been there since they changed to the Foundry.

I’m not sure.  We’ve been here for 10 years and it’s always been called The Foundry.  It is a big, two floor brown building with a pond in front and a big water mill.  They’ve changed ownership twice, but the quality has maintained.  Expensive because of where it’s located but pretty good food.  Restaurants up on the mountain usually change ownership/names every few years.  😂

  6. My wife and I rarely go out to eat, but when we do we usually go to the same restaurant.  Our favorite place called The Foundry up near Killington.  My go-to is the chicken marsala and a double order of the duck fat fried french fries (which are amazing).

It’s just so delicious and I know I’m going to have a good meal.  Every time I try something different I’m always disappointed.  I’m a creature of habit I suppose.

Watched "JFK, One Day in America" last night on Disney+  Three 45 minute segments, a lot of commentary by Clint Hill, Jackie's Secret Service lead.  Good stuff, with some footage I've never seen before.

Just finished bingeing this.  It was incredible and had me a bit misty a few times.  Also cool to see footage I’ve never seen before like the Oswald press conference.  I do like how they kept it classy and avoided all the conspiracy stuff.  Imagine if it hadn’t stopped raining in Dallas on that day.  🤔

How do you win?  Scratch that.  I don't want to know.  Are you calling me on a cellular phone?  I don't know you.  Who is this?  Don't come here.  I'm hanging up the phone.  Prank caller!  Prank caller!

Sounds like you need a stool softener and a glass of warm milk.

  9. Here is my cash game/multiplier/double-up DraftKings lineup for UFC 295 tomorrow night.

    Sergei Pavlovich 8000

    Mackenzie Dern 9000

    Kyung-ho Kang 7400

    Jiri Prochazka 7800

    Steve Erceg 8600

    Joshua Van 9200

Feel free to tail this if you like, but again, this should be used for cash games and not tournaments.

**Edit: Made a few tweaks after weigh ins today.

Just watched the Bill Burr movie on Netflix, Old Dads.  It was alright.  Had some funny moments but not as good of a movie as I was expecting

I agree.  There were some funny moments, and it started well, but most of the movie just seemed drawn out and “forced.”  After a while, I found the woke hyperbole to be quite irritating.

    SU said should return soon

Again, just info from a trusted source.  I have no idea as to the duration of his suspension.

How do you bet ufc just on the result or how and when the result happens?

It’s DraftKings DFS.  Gambling isn’t legal in my state.  You pick a roster of 6 fighters and your maximum “payroll” is 50K.  You have to pick a few “live” underdogs to win.  I’ve been doing very well, but I’m a big UFC fan and do a lot of research as well.  It annoys the ***** out of my wife.  😂

I’ll start posting my optimal cash game line-up every week just in case anyone wants to tail.  I think I did that once before.
