Exactly. It's bizarre that the weather seems to be worsening on a few sites while others just update a few things here or there. I've never seen accurate weather models shift so much in so short of hours. Granted I don't keep an eye on buffalo weather but for about half the year I check weather 3-4 times a day in NC. The officials making the decisions - well, I think if this was any other weekend it'd be no story at all. People would just go on living.

Other than that, cite your sources. And plenty of us can make decisions and rationalize our risks.

We have people around the country planning on headed to the game, or already on their way who may get stranded by idiotic governing to wait until the last minute to be making these decisions. I am leaving to come up tomorrow and if they decide on the way to change the game to Monday... What the *****. What piss poor planning to suggest that it could happen.

Detroit is a much bigger city, but I don't remember all of the specifics. I think the decision has already been made by noon Friday.

ya know, i'm actually surprised how many people don't know it but the home team generally allows access to the opponents by Thursday at the latest. Sometimes Wednesday. The advanced people go up early to make sure they know the technology, etc. this is usually a small crew. There is another crew that gets there either the Friday or the Saturday morning. They are making sure all systems are set up, all logistics are intact. Saturday night when the team generally arrives there is a group that takes all equipment to the stadium to an awaiting system setup for that team. Many teams bring their own tables or advanced equipment, as well. A few of us at work are talking about it with a guy here who was on 3 preseason rosters and 1 practice squad team. he was laughing at the idea that the game would be moved at this point - said if anything it'd be delayed until Monday.

pittsburgh has their equipment already en route, their staff arriving tomorrow morning at the latest to prep everything. further, the coordination with law enforcement/security, logistics, hotel, etc would be incredible to change unless to a major MAJOR market. i am not sure cleveland could quickly host the game - hotels are an issue. i've spent years in supply chain and logistics - to get everything approved and organized is the biggest obstacle. everyone is cheering this game for a terrible blizzard like they have a vested interest in either: a) bad weather event b) being right and doubling down on the weather

that was 2 hours ago. lol the nfl is would have an incredibly difficult time moving this game at this point. they'd have to get that out to the teams almost now because transportation and logistics to get the team out in the next 4 hours is nearly impossible. we have maybe 1 hour to 90 minutes before it would be deemed impossible logistically.

there always were and are contigency plans. he addressed this to garner clicks. his immediate post after this was teams were told games are to be played as scheduled.
