Listen to Tim Grahams description of what transpired after Jets loss. Josh was distraught, and took the loss very hard. Bills players consoled Josh, tried to cheer him up. Dawkins said to Josh "17 for life." Diggs whispered to Josh- "Josh responded "ITS ONLY ONE ***** LOSS!" and shunned away Diggs.
That is a microcosm of what kind of player has Bills DNA, and what player doesn't.
Dawkins aint going anywhere. Power to the Schnowman!

What WR does not want to play for Buffalo? You get to play with Josh, and there are Diggs 160 targets for the taking. It's only April 6 people. Opening day is 5 months away

Maddy Glab vindicated. Basically all the hot mic caught was Maddy saying Diggs was difficult to work with.

Am I the only one who opened this thread expecting to see a story about how Brandon Beane was getting his MD this year?

Diggs was never All Pro before Buffalo
Diggs got plenty of targets
Diggs got massive Love from Buffalo
Diggs played on a mighty Wagon- Buffalo Bills
Diggs was due $60 million from Buffalo the next 3 years
Houston ripped up Diggs contract. To me, $60 million is an amazing amount of money.
Beane has been great to you, and this is how you repay how good the organization was to you Steph?
it is being reported Steph requested the trade.
So it wasn't about targets, recognition, fanfare, love, money, playoffs, teammates.
Diggs just lost $60 million 😆
What the ***** is this about Steph?

Shakir was the Bills leading WR the last 12 weeks.

I meant at OT...Isn't it top heavy and then takes a drop? I mean if we are going WR early, I don't want to be fishing for a tackle on day 2 or 3 to protect our quarter of a billion dollar QB. I could be wrong, as busy as I have been this year I haven't spent a lot of time on the positions I am not expecting us to be in the market for on draft day, at least early. So I've mostly focused on WR, secondary, and DL.
OT is top heavy. There is going to be a big run on OT that will push WRs down the board IMO

Assests aren't always proven commodities. Id rather have a proven commodity and attempt another asset at 28 instead of thinking a guy at 60 is gonna be a sure thing. For every Torrence there is two Cody Fords.
$120 million Von blew out his knee. That could happen to Aiuk. I don’t like being against the cap, nor does Beane. Give me two WR from the greatest WR draft ever. Many sub 4.4 guys, big guys, great hands- whatever flavor WR you like is available. Give me 2 WR from all time greatest class. 4 year rookie contracts. Then we have $ to sign free agents, without giving up precious assets

This is the greatest WR draft ever! Hold on to our picks, double dip, drafting 2 WR, set up Josh with 2 great WR the next decade, and pay rookie contracts, 4 years, instead if overpaying a 26 year old and giving away precious assets

Diggs was a great player and great in the community here in Buffalo. He's now a Houston Texan. Can we show some grace as fans, appreciate his time here and let him go on with his life without bashing the guy? Aren't we better than that? #BillsMafia
My third takeaway of Steph is him going on tilt against the Packers. I wish Steph well. He was great, he’s a JAG now that disappears every big game, and causes rifts with his drama. I much prefer the Bills drama free. I’m happy Josh does not have to answer questions about Steph’s twitter postings any more. Bills are back to a team concentrated on football, not drama

I loved when Diggs would play catch with the kids pregame. Now my lasting Diggs takeaway is Diggs yelling at Josh, and Diggs choke job against the Chefs(fumble first play of game, dropping 3rd down pass, then dropping perfect pass from Josh when playoff life was on line. Good return for declining diva, and good riddance.

I’m ok with keeping our pick, possibly trading up 2-3 spots, and drafting Xavier Legette. Joe Marino sold me on Xavier. We keep our picks, add Xavier and another WR in 2nd, double dipping

I wear Bills gear everywhere. I’ve gotten “Go Bills!” on top of Mount Washington, in England, in Austria, and constantly here in Massachusetts.
My brother and I were talking yesterday. It seems most every NFL fan we know has a soft spot for Buffalo. Even non Bills fans are Bills fans

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, I saw another discussion about the dead cap hit, but who were we going to sign? What big FA's were left for us to sign? Unless Beane was banking on making some blockbuster player trade this year, it makes more sense to take the entire cap hit this year. Ideally, we move up and get the WR we want in the draft and free up a boat load of money next year.
We are gonna double dip on the greatest WR class ever!

It’s an amazing WR draft. I’m hoping we draft 2 in the 1st three rounds.

As I reviewed the new player contracts, I noticed Toohill received only a 15K signing bonus. His dead cap if released is only 15K. When I compared that to other lower end veteran contracts (Like Ty Johnson and Morrow), their dead cap was about 50% of their cap hit. I took this to mean that management believes that Toohill might be beaten out for one of the backup DL roles, maybe by one of the draft picks.
Edit: DT depth added. Bills sign DT DeShawn Williams. Another former Panther.
Updated Roster using a 51 man roster: Starters in Bold
Offense 21 of 23 players (roster allocation to the position from 2023 in (x)).
QB (2) - current 2: Allen & Trubisky
RB/FB (4) - current 3: Cook, Johnson & Gilliam
TE (3) - current 3: Kincaid, Knox, Morris
WR (5) - current 5: Diggs, Shakir, Samuel, Hollins & Shorter (Hamler & Isabella in the mix)
Oline (9) - current 8: Brown, Dawkins, McGovern, Torrence, Edwards, Clapp, Anderson & Van Denmark (Doyle still in the mix)
Defense 22 of 25 players
Dline (10) - Current 9 - Jones, Oliver, Rousseau, Miller, Jonathan, Epenesa, D. Williams, A. Johnson & Toohill (Cline and Ankou also in the mix)
LBs (5) - current 5 - Milano, Benard, Williams, Morrow, & Spector
CB (6) - current 5 - Johnson, Douglas, Benford, Elam & Lewis (S)
S (4) - Current 3 - Rapp, Edwards, & Hamlin
Specialists 4 of 3 slots - Bass (PK), Ferguson (LS), Martin (P) & Haack (P) - one of Haack or Martin aren't going to make the team.
Notes on Williams, A Johnson and Clapp.
Williams earned 1.75 with the Panthers last year. He was undrafted out of Clemson in 2015.
Clapp made 1.159 with the Chargers last year.
Johnson was also with Chargers last year and made 6.75. His new Bills contract is for 1 year at 3.5.
after this signing, I believe our biggest needs are WR1, RB 2, Edge, CB. DT and S are second priority

No needs on the roster? That's a rosy outlook. TE is set. WR is severely undermanned. RB is ok, QB is above average, OL IS THIN. DL isn't great, LB is ok, CB is good but lacks depth, safety is a tire fire.
TE is
set. TE is loadedRB is ok. RB is solid. Cook average 4.7 YPC, Ty is great. Latavious is easily upgraded.
WR is severely undermanned-hyoerbole. Diggs-Samuel-Shakir-Hollins- we need 1 more- is that what you consider severely undermanned? Don't you think we can do better than Sherfield, Hardy, and Gabe?
OL is thin-Very solid. returning 4 starters, and chose Conor over Mitch. Anderson, Van Demark, and Doyle are good backups. We need 2 more, and we have 11 picks
LB is ok-LMAO Bernard and Milano are ok? Your most delusional observatIon yet. Dorian Williams is our next great LB
CB is good-that we can agree on, Rasul, Benford, Taron, and Elam is very nice.
S is a tire fire-more hyperbole Mr Sunshine. Rapp was our best S last season. Edwards has great range, has won multiple SB, and is Poyer like. Cam Lewis is more valuable than most know.
every team in the NFL is a work in progress right now. No rosters are complete yet. We have 11 draft picks, and lots of FA time left. Floyd and Poona signed in May. Buffalo is a desired team to play for right now, life is fantastic

I told at the beginning I don’t do trades and I made one exception. I don’t disagree in theory but your points make no sense in this post after things are pretty easily laid outUsually I try to put out a couple of mocks and now seems like a good time to post one with Free Agency slowing down and before the draft. I usually don't project trades but I did here with the Vikings moving up to 5 and the Chargers moving out. Enjoy and try to be nice haha.
Where is this pretty easily laid out? If that board is the setup at Bills selection, I trade back. You made a trade, which sets precedent. Or only you can make trades? Im sorry but I don't see where you pretty easily laid out that we cannot do trades

AD Mitchell is gone in this. It’s great to want but what if he’s goneif he is gone, I trade back and gain back a third. It's a deep WR draft, we would be able to get a great WR with 1 of our first two picks, even after trade back
17 minutes ago, GunnerBill said:Worthy is not 6'1 and Mitchell is not 6'4. They were listed heights. They measured 5'11 and 6'2 respectively at the Combine.
my bad. Georgia , Texas and Fox all list AD at 6'4. Even at 6'2, my point stands. AD would be our second biggest WR, and could play the X. We don't need anymore 5'11 WR
-
I don't want Worthy in the first. Right now Diggs is 6', Shakir is 6', Samuel is 5'11. Thats a bunch of small smurfs, and Curtis is the only burner. We need a big bodied burner X WR who can run route tree, take the top of the defense, and block. Worthy can only do one of these, and is 6'1 172 pounds. No thank you. AD MItchell fits the bill- 6'4 200, and he ran a 4.34. AD Mitchell >Worthy and its not even close IMO
-
I’m down for a trade down and gaining back a 3rd. Right now I’m ok with Buffalo drafting DT with our first- it’s our biggest need now imo. I still would like to see Buffalo use a high draft pick on a WR, and draft 2 WR.
