  1. I'm not understanding the claims McCoy is overrated before he ever hits the field for the Bills. His "down" season last year was still better than most of the leagues RB's. He's still got a few years before the running back cliff.

For me I totally agree with Bill that Mario is underrated nationally.

Over: gotta go with Henderson. I'm hoping Wood gets back to form another year removed from injury and with better guard play.

  2. I'm really surprised at all the angst here. Every Game Every Sunday is a misnomer anyway. There are Sunday night games every week not on Sunday Ticket, I know they are on national tv but still. It's one game early in the AM between two teams that are not very popular. Bandwidth should be fine. Like I said before I've watched WWE live events that stream beautifully. There are plenty of ways to watch the game on the big screen.

  3. Another note on Orton. As fans, we go crazy when we see QBs like Orton hold the ball too long and get sacked when he has plenty of time to throw it away. And there were surely 3-4 times this game and 3-4 times last game when Orton did just that. But what we fans never throw into the equation is the plays that Orton and guys like him make when they hold the ball too long because they are fearless or that is just how he plays. It's like we always want him to make the perfect decision in a nanosecond. To me, I can live with the two sacks or so he takes each game when he had time to get rid of the ball if he makes the plays he makes without turning the ball over.

i love this point. I was guilty of thinking that way today. Very good perspective Kelly.
  4. I'm 100% on board with the trade. He is a freak talent. The speed, route running, hands and attitude are all elite. Getting that type of talent is rare. A first round pick is no guarantee of a great player anyway. Sammy is already doing things we haven't seen from a WR in a long time.

  5. Neither Cyrus or Cyril are NFL ready. Everyone other than the Bills knew this before the draft, that's why they "slid" to us in the draft. Anyone watch the shrine game or whatever it was where Cyril was schooled and tooled? I've never seen an OL so out of his element as watching him in that game. Now he's supposed to start on our OL? So our big plan boils down to a hope and prayer that they somehow outperform every other team's expectations and for the he**ll of it we throw in a 7th round draft pick as our Savior at RT? Really?! Let's also trade our #1 next year to move up a couple places to draft a WR!?? A WR?!

Now we have a young QB with little natural instinct to play the position at the NFL level, playing behind an inferior OL and listening to an inexperienced, in NFL terms, coaching staff. OooooKK..........Let's go find a really good punter!

So many on this board asked, why should we "waste" a pick @ #9 for an athletic OT? We don't need an OT when we can easily find one later in the draft! Ok, where is he? We picked three OL! WTF? As I said before the draft, many of the people on this board know little if anything about football. Well, NFL football anyway. Perhaps you should switch over to European football. This game is still won and lost in the trenches. First, run and stop the run. IT would be nice to stop a third and long too but, some day we'll get it...

this is a very strange post. Out of place and poorly informed. By all accounts Cyril improved greatly as camp went on and was pushing the starters. Henderson looks like one of the biggest steals of the entire draft. Sure Cyrus has been awful and I have little faith in him getting much better. Step of the ledge and at least look forward to the opener

  6. I thought the interview was great. CJ is a cool dude and I hope he stays with the team a long time. The Schopp hate is way overblown to me. He likes football just fine it's just not his favorite sport. This idea that he talks tennis all the time is so bizarre. Every time I listen they are talking football or hockey predominately. I've seen plenty of sports talk guys buckle to pressure from an athlete right in front of them. It happens and usually with tongue planted in cheek.
