  1. Mallet can make all the throws at this level . I wouldn't write him off just because Belichek doesn't like him. The kid was projected to be a starter coming out of college. I'm sure he wasn't happy being drafted by the Pats knowing he wouldn't have a chance to start. He reminds me of Cutler. He's arrogant, no doubt, but has a canon for an arm. I would give him a chance.

  2. His first year may have made him appealing, but his 2nd year shouldn't make him appealing whatsoever anymore.

He really only had 1 start in 2012, and that was the last game of the season against Cleveland. Besides that he had mostly mop up duties. While it is impressive that a rookie came in and won his lone start for the season, is that really indicative of his overall talent or is the 3 full games he played in 2013 paint a better picture? In my mind the 2013 games show a clearer picture. In those 3 starts he was 69/130 (53%) for a YPA of 5.47 and 4 TD's against 5 INT's. And keep in mind they lost all the games he played in, in 2013. I think that's what you would be getting if you traded for Cousins.

Is that worth what the Redskins would ask for him? Probably not.

The Redskins in general were a disaster last year. Thier season was overshadowed by the controversy surrounding Shanahan and Griffin. Shanahans firing was inevitable and by the time Cousins took over for Griffin the players had clearly given up on him. Cousins looked very good last night.
  3. The name Bills is a stupid entry of fan contest.

    They can take the name.

    I'd rather follow Baltimore's path then Cleveland's.

My point is that the name wouldn't fit anywhere else. The name is a reference to Buffalo Bill Cody. If the team moved and they wanted to keep the name they would have to include Buffalo as well. Like ,for example, the Toronto Buffalo Bills or the Los Angeles Buffalo Bills. Otherwise the name wouldn't make any sense.
  4. I spent alot of time last night reading articles and comments from football fans across the country and abroad regarding the passing of Ralph Wilson. While the majority of comments have been supportive, you still get the occasional jerks posting things like " Introducing your Toronto Bills" or " Welcome your Los Angeles Bills". It amazes me how clueless people are about the origin of the name. I don't think the Bills will be leaving WNY any time soon but if they ever did the name would remain forever linked with Buffalo. I'm sorry to be posting a thread like this considering all that's going on with the organization but these comments aggravate me and I needed to vent.

    Prayers for Jim
