Maybe when the team gets below .500.post game presser marrone already asked and EJ starts. Do people think Orton is Joe Montana or sumthin?
You maybe in for a surprise when the .500 orton if ever gets on the filed.

Agreed. This game reminded me of the Monday night game in 2008 against Cleveland when we were beat by Brady Quinn.
-
This is not too far fetched considering Pegulas devotion to alumni and fan favorites.Frank would be great. While he is still earning his coaching strips he is a true student of the game. He knows the city and what the Bills mean to the community and clearly is a great link to the glory days.

I took some Cialis last night and I'm concealing a massive hard on.

This^If you want to crap on the running game, you also have to understand the defenses are now daring the Bills to pass. Opposing defenses are selling out on the run which makes it very hard to move the ball on the ground. Until Manuel can start backing the defense off the line of scrimmage, the running game will continue to falter.
-
The defense had their first 3 and out after we scored to make it 20-10. There was still plenty of time in the game. You can say they let off the gas but I say it was a great defensive stand. The offense didn't respond.Like I have said already..if you cant see that the boltz let off the gas when they got up on us and gave our defense a break....I dont know what to tell you. We were never in the game
-
How about our defense only giving up 20 points to one of the best quarterbacks in the league. 7 in the second half. How about Spiller completely ineffective running for most of the game?
How about our defense getting NO pressure on Rivers for most of the game?
How about the big plays our corners gave up in the game?
How about the multitude of 3rd downs on defense gave up througout the game on 3rd and long?
How about our OL getting blown up on 4 man rushes throughout the game?
???????
No he didnt

It wasn't a group effort by the Chargers today either. They have an elite quarterback and the jury is still out on ours.So Jim Kelly decided to be critical of EJ in the booth....well hell lets just bench EJ based on that I mean Kelly is actually in a position to have ANY say on this team at all at this point.
Good as in managing the game and doing what was asked of him in game 1 and 2......he was smart with the ball...didnt turn it over....made decent throws. He didnt WIN the games for them
Guess what....he didnt LOSE the game for them today either....it was a group efffort

Damn brother are you as drunk as I am?Congrats. You were righ. He simply doesn't get and never will. I was willing to Gove him the benefit of thre doubt until I saw him run. His accuracy is is not theren and never will be.
-
They took their foot off the gas because they didn't feel threatened by Manuel. If you dont recognize that Rivers and the boltz took their foot off the gas at a certain point in that game then your kidding yourself (but we actually know what your doing.....you want to put this soley on EJ.....)
-
I hope so John. I don't mean to be so critical but there were plays to be made today. I was expecting more out of Manuel. I understand it is a growing process but he needs to step up when it matters. Running out of bounds on third down doesn't help.As was our defense........or perhaps we should not talk about how pretty much EVERY ASPECT of the team was bad except for special teams?
This has been discussed already even before this game......EJ Manuel was going to have bad play to go along with his GOOD play (and he was good the first two games)
I dont think you will find anyone who will say anything positve about EJ's play today......but it was ONE game
-
We've.seen this last year in games against Pittsburgh, Tampa and the Jets. Until EJ can consistently make plays down field he is going to get pressured. He doesn't step in to his throws. I was at the game and there were plays to be made. He had people open on those two third down plays were he lobbed the ball to the outside. He has to work the middle of the field. Then why was this not the case in the previous two games? Because The O line play was OBVIOUSLY better in those games.
Not saying EJ played well today......but lets not act like this has been happening all season
-
the o line was fine. Its no secret that opposing teams are going to bring pressure and force Manuel to make plays. He didn't do it. He is indecisive and makes terrible throws under pressure. He lobs every throw and it was a matter of time before he got one of his receivers killed. It was a gutsy effort by the defense to keep us in the game but ultimately we needed our QB to make a play. Enough with this crap about EJ only having to not make mistakes. HE NEEDS TO MAKE PLAYS.I suspect this thread will be bust today. EJ was horrible out there. The O-Line wasn't much better but that was a catalogue of bad throws.

Art Wander was my neighbor for a few years before he moved to Tennessee. First time I met him I was playing hockey in the driveway with my son. Art came over to say hello and asked my son if he was a Sabres fan. After that Art when on to talk Sabres hockey with us for a while. The next day he knocked on my door and gave me Sabres tickets. He was a good guy. Never stopped talking about sports.

You can add those two ass clowns Mike and Mike to the list too.
-
Bradham playing the Michael "Sam" linebacker position.
-
CJ get in there, and pick up that linebacker when he blitzes.

Tebow didn't beat out Orton. Elway made the switch because he knew Orton wasn't the future and gave Tebow his chance. Tebows run was a fluke. The season before he got benched Orton threw for 3800 yards and 20 tds.Orton will be the starter soon, that is the only reason he signed with us. Our starting QB will be the guy Tim Tebow beat out at QB. Great

Rich Gannon played 12 seasons before signing on with the Raiders. He played lights out his first 4 seasons there.Yeah, we really do not know what kind of shape he is in, or whether he is losing some of his skills. 31, however, (maybe 32) soon, is not terribly old for a QB, especially if he didn't start or play much in half of his eight seasons in the league.
-
Seth Maxwell. The man can fix a mean pink poontang special.
-
From what I've heard he didn't have a very good line in front of him.Forgive me if I am mistaken, but wasn't Dysert's reputation coming out of college that he was wildly inconsistent, and made poor decisions (threw a lot of picks)?
-
And to think, EJ Manuel was Terrelle Pryor this whole time. The Bills already have Terrelle Pryor on the roster. His name is EJ Manuel. They have the same flaws.
-
Cousins isn't going anywhere, but RG3 may soon be available.TJ for Cousins! yeah, and a second round pick, heck I bet we could even get them to throw in a pick for next year also!
Yeah right, dreaming is fun!
-
I don't know about the bad decision part. In 2 seasons at Arkansas he threw for 7,500 yards, 62 tds to 19 ints. Not saying he is the answer but if EJ bombs this year we are in serious trouble. We're going to need options. If EJ pans out then no harm done.Fair enough, but the situations are a bit different I think. Henderson was immature and plays a position that is a bit more brawn than brain. Mallett was seen as "not too bright" and a guy who made bad decisions on the field, and QB is a far more cerebral position, I think. Different kinds of head cases and different positions.
Would EJ start for any other NFL team right now ?

Tannehill played a good game yesterday. He knows he's playing for his job. Maybe thats what Manuel needs. Marrone said before he likes players to have a chip on their shoulders. EJ has been coddled ever since he got here. I would bench him right now and make him earn his way back. At the very least they could give Orton more snaps in practice to send a message that they are considering making a change.
