  1. And for some reason you used team records to compare them. I was simply pointing out how foolish that is.

How is that foolish? Some guys are winners and some are losers. Check out Doug Flutie and Rob Johnsons stats when they were here. Same team , similar stats. The only thing that seperated them was wins and losses.
  2. Yeah that overthrow of a wide open Green with 3 minutes left in the game that would have been a TD looked amazingly like Fitz...

Noodle arm or not his deep balls leave a lot to be desired...

Because if you look at there stats this year they were basically the same player...Spiller and Green-Ellis? Not much of a comparison there...

Ok but thats not a fair comparison considering Dalton is only in his second year. Check out Fitzpatricks stats his first 2 years as a starter and make the comparison. It took Fitz seven years to get his QBR above 80.
  3. I keep hearing how Dalton's a good young QB, but to me he just looks like a younger version of Fitz. They had nearly identical stats this year and that dreadful performance today against Houston looked mighty Fitz like...

Dalton is just a younger Fitzpatrick...I am glad the Bills didn't draft him...

Only stat that matters: Dalton 10-6 Fitzpatrick 6-10
  4. Mods, please delete this post ASAP. This is a perfect example of exactly what this thread SHOULDN'T be.

To the poster: I'm sure Russ is more than aware that we need a new coach (Gailey has been fired,) and a better QB. Russ himself said the Bills brand has been tarnished.

Stop living in the past, and stop ripping on the Bills. Leave that for the national media--they are plenty good at it.

Use this thread as a platform to suggest meaningful ideas that could actually gain traction within the organization.

    WIFI in the stadium perhaps?

If you can't think of something to contribute, then concede that there are smarter people than you in charge of the organization, and find another thread to post in.

    That you Russ?
  5. this was the most despicable defensive line play I've ever seen. Mark Sanchez put K. Williams on his @$$. After all the funny stupid plays we've seen out of Sachez in the past 3 years and he does this to Williams is beyond comical.

this too. He's just not good anymore. Never was actually. Was always the "Big White Guy with a High Motor, Blue Collar and Lunchpail" and that's why he was always so loved and always so over rated.

    No THIS is comical.http://youtu.be/rAp57G1hLn0
  6. Can you list the recent Super Bowl winning QBs the Bills have a chance at acquiring? What, there are none? I can't believe it!

Now, let's move on to the next options, which Rivers might be one. I wouldn't give up the farm for him but if he can be acquired for something reasonable I don't have a problem with the move.

Yeah I can see the Chargers getting rid of Rivers without having a viable option for his replacement.

    Awards and honors

Your right the Bills would never want a QB like this.

    How many Superbowls?

  8. +1

As fans, we have suffered so much... you can't blame him for wanting to go too.

    I would too frankly.

Agreed. At this point I'm worried about Belichek. He would love to strengthen his team at the expense of weakening a divisional opponent.I'm sure he's keeping an eye on the situation with these two players. Thats why I'm hoping we can land Jon Gruden. He's the type of coach that could convince these guys to stay.
  9. I haven't a clear explanation of what, exactly, Jimbo would be doing and why it would be such a good idea for him to be "in the front office", other than as some sort of "ambassador".

Does it "keep the Bills in NY"? No, they just signed an lease with an onerous buyout.

Does anyone envision Jimbo selecting any significant staffers? GM? HC?

Does anyone see Jimbo handling any kind of FA selection/recruiting? How about the draft--really? He's going to be in the war room as what, a greeter?

As I said, he's a great guy and face for the organization, but why do the Bills always have to make half-assed moves like this?

I think you guys are making too much out of this. I asked my friend what kind of role Kelly would have with the team . He said he could only speculate but he figures the move is being done for legal purposes and a transfer of ownership is in the works. If you consider the tweet by Thurman Thomas that would make sense. Do you really believe Thomas would get excited about Kelly running the organization?
  10. Talked to a guy who works for the Bills today. Told me Jim Kelly will be getting a prominent front office position after the season finale. He believes they are laying the groundwork for a transfer of ownership. Asked about the rumors regarding Jon Gruden . He said he hasn't heard anything .
